  1. Heh, just like Sebastian, when MW is down is probably the only time I actually do any work! Graham
  2. Macross II is OK, not great, but not terrible either. I love some of the mecha designs, especialy the VF-2SS w/SAP and the VF-2JA. Can't stand the Metal Siren tho, ugliest fighter mode ever IMO. Graham
  3. Looks like Hasegawa may have underestimated the demand for the VF-0S. Yesterday, I visited a couple of model shops near where I live and was told that although the kit had definitely been released in Japan already, Hong Kong wouldn't be getting any until at least mid-February. This is unusual, as we usually get stuff from Japan within a day or two of it's realease. Graham
  4. Heh, heh....he said "Wanzer"....heh, heh Being serious now, I presume Wanzer is supposed to mean Walking Panzer? But wouldn't it have been more funny if the creators had decided to base the name on Walking Tank. Figure it out your selves! Graham
  5. It's still in development. As I understand it, Yamato had to go back and change some stuff and add more details to their preliminary sculpt. IIRC, one of the new March Hobby magazines has a small pic of the cockpit sculpt. I'll try to scan it over the weekend if I have time. Graham
  6. Wrong. Robotech.com is much worse. Heh, the last time I made one of my extremely infrequent visits to RT.com, I saw they had topics like 'Rick Hunter vs Luke Skywalker' and Superman vs Goku', so I turned around and left in a hurry Graham
  7. Errr.....no thanks. I think I'll stick with the Macross toys as I have little interest in either the Game Cube or the Metal Gear Solid games. Graham
  8. I'm actually kind of relieved to hear you say that, Graham. I really don't want to see it altered (for nostalgia's sake), though I'm curious as to what SK might do to it if he were to redesign it. Well, The SW-XA1 and VF-0 are already two good examples of redesigned VF-1s. Graham
  9. Personally, I don't think Kawamori will redesign the VF-1. Graham
  10. But you did see the pics, the 1/100 VF-0. Graham
  11. Thanks for the pics Graham. Btw, I spotted the mini Fz-109 in the second pic. I don't suppose Wave still makes those 1/100 Fz-109 resin garage kits? I certainly would like to get a hand on that. It's been out of production for many years, but you could try PMing Blackaces or Monkey-N and asking them if the could find it for you if you really want it. Graham
  12. WD-40 is actually a solvent, not just a lubricant, so it can damage certain plastics. Graham
  13. Wave 1/100 Fz-109 resin garage kit. Bandai Fz-109 Mini-Macross Figures (to the right of the picture, can you spot them?) Graham
  14. O/T, just out of curiosity, has there been a Fz-109 valk ever produced & sold? Yes, back in 1995, Wave produced a 1/100 scale Fz-109 Battroid mode resin garage kit. And of course Bandai released the Fz-109 battroid and fighter mode non-transforming PVC 'Micro-Macross' toys. Graham

    Larger Scale VF-0

My personal preference for a perfect transformation VF-0 toy would be 1/60 scale. That would already be big enough, close to the 1/48 VF-1 in size. So, my vote is for 1/60. I think 1/48 would just be too huge. I'm already limited in the amount of display space I have and a 1/48 VF-0 in fighter mode, would probably take up nearly a whole shelf in my display cabinet. Of course, I'd still buy it in a heartbeat if Yamato made it. By the way, don't take any of the above as confirmation that a larger scale perfect transformation VF-0 is actually in the works. I'm just stating what I would like only. Graham
  16. Ha De Ha Ha Graham
  17. Err........vaguely heard of it, but no idea what it's about. I'm guessing it's some sort of vampire movie, with a title like Van helsing? Graham
  18. yamato doesnt have, and woudlnt pay for the rights to mospeada, from what ive heard there is very little interest in japan for mospeada merchandise and they obviously cant market it outside japan Toynami obviously has the license for Japan as it was announced a long time ago that there will be a 'Japan' version. Larger Scale VF-0

The VF-0 is actually significantly longer than the VF-1 as this picture of the Hasegawa 1/72 scale kits from the March 2004 issue of Hobby Japan magazine shows. According to the magazine article, the Hasegawa VF-1 is 19.8cm long, whereas the VF-0S is 27.1cm long. So, if you pretend that the VF-1 in the photo below is a 1/48, you can imagine that a 1/48 VF-0 toy would take up a lot of shelf space! Graham
  20. IMO the sculpts fairly decent in Armo-Soldier mode, but I agree it has quite a few issues in Armo-Fighter mode. That being said, it's not like we have a lot of choice as far as new Legioss/Alpha toys go, so I'll probably shell out the cash for one of these. Actually, I'll probably buy one green and one blue, not sure about the red though. And I don't think I'll be buying multiples either. Graham
  21. Ughhh............. Graham
  22. The subtitles are fair. Basically, they are understandable, but quite a lot of the fine points of the story are either skipped or mistranslated and some characters are misnamed. Video quality is good on eps # 1 and # 3, put is quite poor during the action scenes on ep # 2. Graham
  23. Them be the levitating rocks for sure Graham
  24. That's a pretty inaccurate sculpt IMO. The face is definitely not accurate to the line-art and the body is far too err....voluptuous Graham
  25. Heh, heh.....agreed! And people like this toy.....why? Graham
