  1. Yes, Yamato are making a 1/100 scale VF-0S toy. It should be released sometime in June or July (no firm release date has been announced yet). The retail price will be somewhere around ¥4,000. The toy will be ABS and PVC, no die-cast metal. It will also require parts-swapping in order to transform as it comes with different noses for Fighter and Battroid modes. This toy has been discussed in-depth on these forums in several topics and if you do a search on the toy forums you can find more info. Graham
  2. Great job Kurt, I'll get this in the gallery at the weekend. Graham
  3. Where can one find this movie? It's on the 20th Anniversery DVD. And of course it's on the Playstation VF-X2 game. Graham
  4. I'll have to watch the opening movie of VF-X2 again, but IIRC the VB-6 does not land in shutttle mode, instead it transforms to Gerwalk mode to land and then steps on and squashes an enemy tank Graham
  5. Read my post directly above yours. I mention the scale. Graham
  6. Of course. They don't have the Science Fiction report up yet, only the Figures and Naval reports. Graham
  7. Ouststanding Rob! Bit smaller than I thought it would be, but I'm still getting one, or two, or three Graham
  8. Pic of the Yamato 1/100 VB-6 prototype from the June 2004 issue of Dengeki Hobby: Here. Page 4 of this thread has the first pic of the painted Yamato VB-6 from the Shizouka Hobby Show. Graham
  9. VB-6 info: Macross Compendium. See also MAHQ for info and pics. Graham
  10. Great, let's hope your partner managed to get some pics of the VB-6. Graham
  11. Yay, no more froppy arms Graham
  12. Nice S&W in the pic above. Looks like a 5906 or perhaps a 4006. Gotta say, I liked the first RE movie, watched it twice at the cinema and then bought the DVD. I'm a big fan of Zombie movies. Definitely looking forward to the second movie. I only have a passing familiarity with the games tho. I've only played the very first Bio-Hazard game on the Playstation years ago, so I don't really care if the movie follows the games or has the same characters. Graham
  13. Nope, I hadn't seen this. I'd love to see more pics and also put them in the MW custom toy gallery if that's ok? Graham

    Part 2

You think that's bad. I spent 5 minutes shaking and weiging boxes, before choosing 3 boxes and all 3 were sara! Graham
  15. This is what I've been saying about it all along. Graham
  16. Looks great. can I put the pics in the MW custom toy gallery? Graham

    Bandai VF-17

I love the Bandai VF-17S/D toys. They are nearly indestructable, despite having zero diecast metal content and they are very quick and easy to transform. Bandai did a really good job with the level of detail, except for the landing gear which is very poorly sculpted. If you look closely, you can see Bandai put every single panel line that should be there on the toy. My only complaints with the toy are those already mentioned, the limited knee articulation and the slight chunkiness in fighter mode. Graham
  18. ummm... what about macross 7? What about Macross 7? Lots of great looking mecha there, VF-11C, Full Armored VF-11C, VF-11D, VF-17S, VF-17D, VF-19F, VF-19S, VF-22S. Graham
  19. Wow, great! F90 and F90-II. I'm getting both. let's hope Bandai releases a seperate full set of weapons. Graham
  20. MAHQ have got the name wrong. The correct name IIRC should be Queadlunn-Nna. This mecha was featured in the Sega Saturn/Playstation DYRL side-scroller game. Graham
  21. Commando and Predator I'm willing to call classics, but Red Sonja Surely you jest? Graham
  22. I absolutely refuse to watch any show which has such silly loking mecha. Graham
  23. Sounds like an ex-girlfriend of mine Graham
  24. Besides Macross stuff, I used to collect a lot of Gundam kits, MSiA, MSiP, SoC, GFF and a few other bits and bobs. These days however due to a lack of both space and finances and a general disinterest in anything Gundam, I limit myself almost purely to Macross toys and have sold off most of my non-Macross toy collection on ebay over the past year. Scale and size doesn't really bother me, but I do prefer toys with an accurate, realistic sculpt and a high level of detail and articulation. I don't like toys with exagerated sculpts such as the Toynami VF-1 Super Poseables. I'm also not particularly bothered about die-cast metal content (or lack of it). In fact for transforming toys, I prefer little to no die-cast, except where necessary for strength. I generally prefer my toys made of ABS and have gone right off PVC figures such as the MSiA and GFF line. I still buy at least one each of most Macross toys produced, except for some of the smaller items, such as the pencil sharpeners and the recent Tomy diorama sets, which I avoided as I thought they had naff sculpts and poor paint jobs. For me to buy a non-Macross toy these days, it has to be a really outstanding toy of a design I like, from an anime I like. Generally as a rule, I prefer realistic style military mecha to Super Robots. I tend to stick to Japanese toys, I have little interest in US toys as my interest in most US franchises like Star Wars died years ago. I can't recall exactly the last time I bought a US toy, probably 5-10 years ago (the Action Fleet Aliens Drop Ship). the only non-Macross toys I am considering buying this year are the Yamato 1/12 Votoms, once they release a Red Shoulder Custom version with full weapons and at least one Toynami MPC Alpha (if they every get released). I may buy more Alphas if they have no problems. I nearly bought the recently released Max Factory Guyver III figure as I used to be a big Guyver fan, but after allowing my self a cooling-off period, I figured I didn't really need it. Graham
  25. Actually, I've been meaning to ask for a while now why more fighters don't use overwing pylons? It seems a good way to carry extra missiles. The only planes I recall seeing with overwing pylons are the Jaguar and maybe the English Electric Lightning. Graham
