  1. The Leg FAST Packs on the VF-0S are supposed to hold extra fuel and also each pack contains 24 micro-missiles. You can see the three hexagonal exit ports for the micro-missiles on each pack (two at the front and one aft), so pressumably each of the three launchers hold 8 micro-missiles. The leg FAST pack is also supposed to be able to hold a spare magazine for the gunpod, but it's not clear if this is in addition to the fuel and micro-missiles or whether it replaces one of them. The Macross Compendium has the following to say: - "two atmospheric combat super parts (micro-missile launcher/conformal tanks with twenty-four Raytheon Erlikon GH-30B I/IR-guided micro-missiles each) mounted on leg/engine pods. The super part is also capable of storing spare magazine for the gun pod". Graham
  2. The Yamato Scopedog is looking nice, as well it should given the amount of time it's been in development (2+ years) I think this thing has actually been in developnment longer than the YF-19FP and has gone through at least one total redesign. Oh well, I doubt I'll buy the first release, which will probably just be a basic Scopedog. I'll wait for Yamato to release a Red Shoulder Custom, with all the add on weapons. Graham
  3. Wow, that's cool. I would have loved that as a kid when I was into Star wars Figures. Graham
  4. I bought the standard R2 DVD, not really interested in the extras. Graham
  5. Yup, the VB-6 is canon. the events of the VF-X2 PS game are part of the official chronology. Looking forward to the Konig Monster, but judging from the pics it's obvious that we are still a fair way from production. Graham
  6. I'd agree with the majority, the YF/VF-19. Graham
  7. IIRC, from what little we know about the new series, it's going to feature combining (not transforming robots), will have young teenage pilots and the story will feature an environmental theme. I'm guessing it's going to basically be about a bunch of tree-hugging, angst-ridden prepubescent kiddies out to save the world while blowing crap up in giant super robots, i.e sounds like something to avoid. Let's hope I'm wrong. Graham
  8. Nice, I'll add it to the MW custom toy gallery at the weekend. Graham
  9. Very, very, very old news. The game was released in October 2003 and has been discussed to death in the MW games forum. Graham
  10. Very nice. Once it's finshed I hope you can suppy some pics for teh MW Custom Toy Gallery. Graham
  11. Wm, as this kits seems to have given you a bit of trouble, do you think you will also build the two-seat VF-0B when it is released? Just curious, and it would be nice to see the 'S' & 'B' next to each other. I do understand it might be a bit boring for you though building what is essentially the same kit, except for the head and cockpit. Graham
  12. I'll get this up on the MW Custom Toy Forums at the weekend. Graham
  13. Tell the Marines they gotta aim for the head. Graham

    VF-11b Fast Pack

It's a slightly lighter shade of grey, the UN Spacy emblem on the wing is Tampo printed and it comes with a very nice pilot figure. On the downside, the gunpod is a very yucky shade of green and the FPs are too small (and the wrong shape). As Jolly Rogers said, if your ver.1 VF-11B hips are fine, then there's really no reason to get the FP version unless you are a completist or can't live without the FPs or pilot. Personally, I like it, just for the peice of mind the reinforced hips give me and for the cool pilot as well. Toonz, In case you haven't already read it, I have a review of the VF-11B FP in the toy section here. Graham

    VF-1 Lighter

How about the one you have listed on the main site? http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/ads/ads_misc_zippo.htm Was this Zippo ever officially licensed by BW? Yep, that'd be the one. Damn.......we have a main site? Graham
  16. A while ago, there was talk of releasing a black (Gucci ) version of the Escaflowne. Maybe that's it. Graham
  17. Not quite. Like I mentioned above, the Strike Valk kit comes with both the micromissile launcher parts. It has an extra sprue for the Strike cannon, but you can still build the Super version. Can anyone else support or refute this? I remember pretty distinctly... Although I can take a picture of the trees tonight, after I get home, to make sure. That's interesting. I thought they were separate kits. Oh well, I'll shut up them. Graham
  18. There's no firm evidence yet that Shin will actually get this VF-0B in episode # 4 or 5, although I suspect he will. And wouldn't it sort of be a demotion (for getting shot down)? I mean, the VF-0D is a more capable design (greater range, payload etc), so getting a VF-0B as his next VF could be seen as a step backwards. Just because this VF-0B was featured in early advertising for Macross Zero back in 2002 doesn't actually mean it will appear in the OVA. Hasegawa might just be making it as a variation kit, because it is easy for them to do so. It's basically just a VF-0S body and wings with the nose and cockpit section of a VF-0D and the head of either an A or D (I forget which one). I presume Hasegawa probably already has the tooling finished or nearly finished for the VF-0A/B/D. Graham
  19. Considering that Yukikaze came 9 years after Macross Plus, it would be more correct to say that the AMMs in Yukikaze look like the missiles from Macross Plus Graham
  20. I think you have answered your own question. The new kit has parts to allow you to build it as either a 'Super' or a 'Strike' Valk, i.e. you can build it with either both the back FPs fitted with micro-missile launchers (Super) or fitted with one micro-missile launcher and the double beam cannon (Strike). With the old kits there were two separate and distinct kits. A Super Valk kit and a separate Strike Valk kit. Graham
  21. That's good, The VF-0B comes with the FAST packs. I wonder if VF-0B is going to be the official designation. If so, Egan will have to change the listing in the Compendium. Graham
  22. Then you know what you gotta do. Go to an indoor range and shoot some .44mag or .50AE without hearing protection. Then you'll qualify as hard of hearing Graham
  23. Phew, that's OK then. Actually, I haven't had time to look at my R2 KB1 DVD yet as it only arrived yesterday. Graham
  24. The variable Resin Garage Kit of the YF-19 by Hobby Base Retppu shows these new type High Maneuver Missiles as being mounted on the YF-19's wings, 2-missiles per pylon. See picture below. However, please bear in mind that this may just be the manufacture's interpretation of how the missiles are carried and may not be canon. Graham

    Custom SV-51

Nice custom, but in future please limit your picture size to no more than 640 pixels wide when posting pics on these forums. Thanks, Graham
