  1. And well it deserves it. A fantastic peice of work IMO. Graham
  2. Planning on getting 3 each of the VF-0S and the Stand. Please bear in mind that the VF-0s toy in those photos is not the final product and hopefully the fugly hip joints will be reduced in size as Yamato promised. Graham
  3. Unlike most of those role models you mention, I actually hit what I'm shooting at (well most of the time anyway). Once my kid is old enough, he's definitely getting some practical martial art training to toughen him up and I plan to teach him to shoot as well. And definitely no namby pampy toons either. Barny, Teletubbies etc will be banned from my house Graham
  4. Sorry, I just cannot take the name 'Wanzer' seriously. Sounds too much like a certain other word with the 'z' being replaced with a 'k' I'm guessing it's supposed to mean Walking Panzer. Although, Walking Tank would also work Graham
  5. Got 63%. Graham
  6. That is nice. I'd also love to see a Lego SDF-1 someday. Graham
  7. One would hope so. Graham
  8. Yep, there are a lot of differences between the SHE & Yamato YF-19, they are far from the same beast: - Yamato has landing gear, SHE does not. Yamato's gunpod can attach in fighter mode, SHE's cannot. The rear of the lower leg of the SHE has a complicated 'Origami' type folding design. The Yamato does not have this. The SHE has a correctly sculpted canopy shape, The canopy on the Yamoto is the wrong shape and features a rounded lower edge, instead of the correct straight lines and angles. The Yamato has that annoying triangular shape gap in fighter mode where the nose hinges, the SHE does not. Due to dispensing with the folding lower leg mechanism, the shoulders on the Yamato sit far too high in fighter mode, making it less sleek than the SHE. Graham

    Part 2

I really want this set, but I refuse to pay more than the cost of a 1/48 for a set of PVC figures. Crazy prices. Graham
  10. No, they weren't 'ripped'. Yamato paid Takashima-san of SHE to provide techical assistance with the design. Graham
  11. My nickname for the Providence Gundam is 'Statue of Liberty' Gundam, as it looks like it's got the top of the Statue of Liberty's head strapped to it's back Graham
  12. Actually, that's only true of the VF-1's GU-11 gunpod and maybe a few others. The gunpods of the VF-11, YF/VF-19, VF-17 and possibly others can be reloaded in the field with spare magazines carried on the VF. The Macross Compendium also mentions that the VF-0 can carry spare gunpod magazines in the leg FAST packs. Graham

    VF-1B

Ah, I didn't realise it's supposed to be a VF-1B. I'll change the title next time I do an update. Graham

    Part 2

Damn, that's expensive. I remember when the first set came out, the whole box + secret figure was about HK$850. Graham
  15. Translucent neon weapons.....Noooooooooooo! Graham
  16. Personally, I have little interest in a pre-SDF story about the Supervision army, for the simple reason that it would not feature any VFs and IMO Macross is not Macross without VFs. Get rid of the singing and love triangle and I'd still consider it Macross, but lose the VFs and I'm outta here. I'd still like to see more of VFs fighting the bugs from Macross M3. I'm a sucka for mecha vs bugs Graham
  17. I'll be happy to be the designated Macrossworld Transformer kicker. Just send me your Transformers and I'll make sure they get a good kicking. I'll even break out my steel toecap boots for the occasion Oh, that's not what you meant? Graham
  18. That's true, we already know from the opening fight in DYRL that the VF-1's radar is capable of tracking and locking onto multiple targets. Graham

    Part 2

It`s not that bad, why ? does he look like Shin Kazama from AREA-88 the new series ? No, I just don't think it really looks like Focker. There's only a vague resemblance IMO Graham

    Part 2

Now that's nice. I like how they've got the DYRL style holographic HUD on the canopy, just like in the anime. I wonder if ithat cockpit is to scale with the 1/48 VF-1? Graham
  21. I'd love to see a new Guyver OVA or even better a TV series. It's been too long with no new Guyver anime. Graham
  22. Graham

    Part 2

Gotta say I don't like the sculpt of Focker's face. Graham
  23. Silly rabbit Graham
  24. Completely agree with everything you've said. One only has to look at CNN to see how many US soldiers you see running around Iraq with two katanas strappped to their back. The answer, exactly none. Of course there maybe some hardcore Gundam fans in the JSDF, so you never know Graham
  25. So if we stick with just the VF-1, not including other VFs, here's the maximum single salvo missile strength possible (assuming 4 x UMM-7 pods carried on all but the GBP). Note, this is not the total number of missiles carried, just the maximum theoretical largest single missile salvo possible using my formula (which I admit may be incorrect ) VF-1 Super = 32 missiles. VF-1 Strike = 28 missiles. VF-1 w/GPB-1S = 64 missiles+ grenades. VF-1 w/VF-X FPs = 80 missiles. Not that I think it's really a good idea to use up all you missiles in so few salvos. A bit of overkill really. Probably smaller salvos of 4-6 micro-missiles per target are much less wasteful Graham
