  1. After close study of the actual pic in the magazine, as it's a bit clearer than the scan I did, I think you are correct that # 11 & 12 are hands. Graham
  2. Eh, just checked the Mediax site for any updates and the Macross Zero book seems to have been removed from the listings . Could this mean a delay? Graham
  3. How quickly they forget. See this thread. The R2 DVD set is still available on CD Japan. Perhaps a bootleg HK DVD set with English subs will be released eventually. Graham
  4. The lineart is from the Spring 2004 and Summer 2004 issues of Character Model Magazine. Graham
  5. Err.....what's a Secret Santa? It's not a tradition I've heard of before. Graham
  6. I'm still trying to figure out what all the parts displayed in the latest Dengeki Hobby pic of the 1/100 VF-0S are (see the unmodified pic on page 14 of this thread). Most of the parts are pretty obvious, but there are two parts that I can't quite figure out what they are. 1. FAST Packs. 2. Gunpod. 3. Battroid mode neck piece. 4. Battroid left and right mode shoulder joint sockets. 5. Battroid mode 'collar bone' piece (fits between chest and back plates). 6. Battroid mode nose/hip joint piece w/heatshield. 7. Hands. 8. Front landing gear door for gear-up mode. 9. Rear landing gear doors for gear-up mode. 10. Front landing gear? 11. ???????? 12. ???????? Any suggestions regarding numbers 11 and 12? I'm thinking that number 12 might be a connector for use with the Yamato display arm, but I'm not sure. Graham
  7. Heh, I'm sure this is old news to some of you SW fans, but I just read the 8 page online Greedo Shoots First comic. Quite relavent to this thread. Great stuff and really made me laugh, especially the Emperor's line on page # 7, regarding Greedo's marksmanship. Classic stuff. Graham
  8. It's interesting that the publishers Mediax, list a price of ¥2,200, whereas both HLJ and Mangaoh show ¥1,143. Wonder who is correct? If it is ¥2,200, then it could be a decent size artbook. Graham
  9. And now for Hikaru himself.................. Graham
  10. Sticking to the subject of Macross cosplay, here's some Hong Kong cosplay from a comic convention earlier this year. First up, a Hikaru type VF-1J battroid. This cosplayer obviously used the first issue Yamato 1/60 VF-1J Hikaru toy as a reference, as just like the toy he incorrectly has a DYRL pilot in the cockpit Actually, seeing this I don't know whether to laugh or cry Graham
  11. Damn, my next question was gonna be: "Can the Gaincorp F/A-22 be displayed gear up"? I guess the answer is no then. Gaincorp should take a leaf out of Corgi's book as all their Aviation Archive planes can be displayed either gear up or down. Oh well, that's the deal breaker for me then. No gear up on the F/A-22, then Gaincorp ain't getting my money. Now if Gaincorp made a Eurofigter Typhoon or YF-23 that might be another story, even if they were only gear down. And damn it, as I've mentioned before. I still want Dragon to team up with Hasegawa to release diecast, prepainted 1/72 VF-0 and SV-51 fighters! Graham
  12. While it's true that the VF-0 shares a similar although not completely identical transformation sequence to the VF-1, nearly every single part (head, chestplate, backplate, backpack, arms, legs, nose, wings, tails) is shaped differently enough compared to the VF-1 that you would basically have to resculpt the whole toy from scratch. Not to mention that the VF-0 is significantly larger than the VF-1. Graham
  13. Bummer........ Perhaps last year's PS2 Macross game didn't generate enough sales for them to think it was worthwhile to make a sequel? Or perhaps they are just waiting until after the end of Macross Zero to announce a new game. Anyway, I am not optimistic. Graham
  14. Yep, that's basically how it looks Graham
  15. Here's the latest photo of Yamato's upcoming 1/100 cale VF-0S from the new November 2004 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. As you can see, there are really a lot of removeable/swappable parts required to change between Fighter and Battroid modes. Graham
  16. but they'll take your money all the same... No, we'll give them our money all the same . Graham
  17. Just checked amazon.co.jp, but it's not up for preorder yet. Graham
  18. From the November 2004 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Graham
  19. It's a screen shot from the end of the movie you linked, doncha know. Ah, I see. The last time I actually watched the movie was when it was released last year, that's why. Graham
  20. Wonder if they will still travel about in that aircar thingy which looks like a flying bathtub Graham
  21. Outstanding detective work to find that. Checking out the Mediax site, it looks like most of the books and mags they publish are all hentai stuff Graham
  22. If you are talking about the Playstation game 'Macross Plus Game Edition' to give it it's correct game, then no the Valks are not transformable. In the 1-player mission games, some stages are battroid mode only, some stages are fighter mode only. For the 1-player or 2-player vs games, then you can choose to play either a fighter or battroid battle in different arenas. You can also choose the BGM, which is really cool. Personally, I love this game. It's got good graphics, good controls and excellent music. Plus there are lots of cool Valks and Destroids to choose from and it's the only Macross console game so far that has a 2-player vs mode. I can spend hours playing this game. Graham
  23. DARKWIND, that's great news about you attending TGS. I was beginning to fear that no MWers would be able to make it. Even if there is no new Macross game on display, please try your best to ask the staff at the Bandai and Sega booths if one is in development. Bang some heads together if necessary Graham
  24. Mr. Fantastic looks far too young IMO. Graham
  25. Well, I dont know Japanese, but it does mention both Macross Plus & Macross Zero! Renato, Rob....help? ewilen, where did you find that pic? Graham
