No idea what the next PG kit will be, but I'm betting that within a year, we will see a PG Impulse Gundam. GRaham

Wonder if HG will set their lawyers on the show's creators? Graham

Haven't heard anything...yet, but many of us have suspected for a long time that the reason that the Plus & Zero mecha were pulled from the first game was to save them for possible sequels. Graham

Ooh.........me likey that Windam (silly name though)! Graham

I actually wanted to buy the Sword & Force Impulse MSiAs yesterday, but couldn't find them, so I picked up the Blast (Blust?) Impulse MSiA instead. Happy to report no QC problems. Graham

Lot's of PG Strike Gundams in the toy and model shops all over HK. Not buying it even though I quite like the Strike design. I'm a toy guy. Heck, I haven't built a model kit in years . The only Gundam PG I might consider buying if they made it would be a V-Gundam or perhaps an RX-79G. Of course I'm still holding out for a PG YF-19 one day, although I'm not holding my breath waiting for it Graham

New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...

Hmm.....that Hyaku Shiki Full Armor looks very Five Star Story-ish. Graham -
Anybody know how is the new Japanese SEED PS2 game? I bought a boot the other day (I'll buy the original if I like it), but the damn disc was a dud and wouldn't load . Graham

Ah, so Shin's already a military pilot by the time we see him fighting in ep # 1. That's good. I think my sense of disbelief would be strained past breaking point if we had yet another Gundam anime where an angsty young teenage boy with no prior military training or experience finds himself through a series of unlikely circumstances piloting the latest Mobile Suit and kicking the asses of the best military pilots the enemy has to offer. So who's going to be buying the Impulse GQ toys? I wasn't originally, but now I've seen some of the anime, the design of the Impulse is starting to grow on me. Graham

Was Shin striking with the non-beam part of the sword? I'll have to watch the fight again more carefully. If he was, methinks the boy needs some more swordsmanship training Or is he another one of these angsty anime teen pilots who are reluctant to kill? Actually is Shin a military trained pilot or a civilian? At the begining of ep #1 he seems to be a refugee or something, but later on in ep# 1 he's already piloting the Sword Impulse. Presumably his back story will be filled in later? Graham

Although they are called anti-ship swords, aren't they still technically beam sabers? Yes, they are larger and heavier than a normal 'hilt only' type beam sabre, so will be less nimble to wield but the basic principle and technology should be the same AFAIK. Graham

A bit OT, but does anybody know what happened to MAHQ? I just wanted to check out their info on Destiny mecha, but the site seems to be down . Graham

As some of you will know from my past rants I'm not a SEED fan or a Gundam fan in general. I tried watching SEED up to ep #28 then gave up, turned off by the chara and mecha designs. However, at the weekend I came across the HK bootleg DVD of the first 4 episodes of Destiny, so I thought 'what the heck' let's give it a try. I've only had time to watch the first 2 eps so far, but you know what, I've been pleasantly surprised and I'm finding myself actually enjoying it so far I thought ep#1 was pretty gruesome the way Kira accidently wiped out Shin's family . One thing I find strange though, is why bother building the Sword Impulse Gundam, when it's swords and boomerangs are completely useless and can't even scratch the other mobile suits (not that I've seen so far). Surely when designing a new Mobile Suit, you would want it to have weapons that are actually capable of damaging other current MS? Graham

When Yamato first started releasing The Macross Plus toys, I originally planned to buy 5 of each, which was 1 each to display in F, B & G modes, one to keep MIB and 1 to play with. However, for some reason I ended up buying even more. I think the most I had was about 13 x VF-11B, 8 x YF-19 and 7 x YF-21. I've since sold most of them and just keep 3 of each. Of course when Yamato started with the 1/60 line it was impossible for reasons of both finance and storage space to buy so many of each, so I just satisfied myself with a no more than 6 of each. Of courese when the 1/48 line came out, I sold off most of my 1/60 collection and now only have 1 of each. For the 1/48 line I have between 1 to 3 of each variant. Graham

No news at all . Graham

Pardon my ignorence, but what is ICO? I did a google search and came up with lots of stuff, but none game related. And nah, not interested. The only games that interest me are Macross games (of course), some Star Wars games, the Ace Combat series and when I'm in the mood, the Armored Core games. I'm only a casual gamer and never bother with other genres of games outside of my own limited sphere of interest . Graham

Yep. Graham

IIRC, isn't there a submarine in GITS Innocence which looks sort of like a dolphin? Graham

Like them or not, the Soundforce Valks were deliberately meant to look different to the UN Spacy's military Valks. One of the functions of Soundforce was to boost the morale of the civilian population during time of war. In order for their exploits to be well known, their VFs had to be distinctive and easy to see in battlefield film footage, hence the somewhat outlandish look of the VFs. The Soundforce Valks are civilian machines belonging to a rock group. Of course they are supposed to look different from military machines. I basically like to think of them as a Glam Rock band with Glam Rock Valks. Just remember folks, it was all for publicity and propaganda purposes. I have a theory that a lot of Macross fans who watch M7 have difficulty accepting the Soundforce Valks, as they still basically think of them as military valks. Stop thinking of them this way and a lot of the dislike goes away. At least Kawamri didn't start puttting human faces on all the military VFs (yet) . Graham

Yep, never liked the VF-1D head. Far too blocky looking. Graham
