    Bandai DX VF-31

I forget, were there any scenes in the anime where we saw the pod on the VF-31A Kairos in the open position? If anybody can remember, can you please post the episode number, or a screenshot, thanks.
  2. Really? I've personally never met anyone who doesn't like the first movie, it's a classic. I actually prefer it to T2.
  3. _The VF-25 really needs a v.3 release with ratcheted joints and wing hard points.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Examined my two DX VF-31J while wearing my reading glasses last night (yep, old age is catching up, needed reading glasses since last year). Both have no noticable paint wear so far after about 2 weeks. My first one has been transformed 4 times and currently resides in Gerwalk mode and is handled every 2-3 days. My second one has never been transformed, but gets handled (swooshed around) daily and the canopy and multi-drone bays get opened regularly. Personally, I'm fine if I do get a bit of paint wear not really an issue for me, as planes rarely look pristine in real life. But anyway, hasn't happened yet on mine.
  5. Wow, the Lil' Drakens are actually larger than I expected.

I'm personally fine with having the Delta DX releases spread 2-4 months apart, makes them more affordable, without racking up a huge credit card bill if they were all released at once.
  7. Damn, found the front are rear landing gear on one of my VF-19Advance that I always display in fighter mode is getting really loose and collapsing very easily, especially the front landing gear.

Not too worried about being not being able to snag a 31F so far. If it's anything like the 31J, will be able to get one close to the release date using FigInStock notifications.

Yeah, same, I gave up my lunch break so I could sit in the office, starring at my laptop screen and pressing F5.

Even though I was right there, the moment it went up, still couldn't snag one.

Just asked NY customer service when the 31F will be up for pre-order. They replied "today", but didn't specify a time.

Damn, missed all of them. Was out of office and stuck on mobile phone with a poor connection. Oh well, not worried. Figinstock will eventually come to my rescue.
  15. Gotta say, I really enjoyed both TFA and Rogue One. saw both 3 times at the cinema, bought the TFA Blu-ray and will buy the Rogue One Blu-ray. Yes, TFA was for the most part a retelling of ANH. However, IMO it was done very well. Great visuals and ship/weapon/costume designs, interesting and likable new characters and good action scenes and dialogue. Really looking forward to episode VIII. Rogue One, I thought had absolutely fantastic, breathtaking visuals, great ship/weapon/costume designs, some wonderful action sequences and also some good dialogue. However, yes on initial viewing none of the characters were particularly likable. However on my second and third viewings I found myself caring about them and liking them more.
  16. Finally got round to watching Suicide Squad on a flight to UK recently. Have to say I quite enjoyed it. I'd have probably enjoyed it less if I'd have paid to see it at the cinema, but as in-flight entertainment, I enjoyed it well enough. I did like some of the action and also the dialogue and interplay between the characters. Harley Quinn definitely stole the show. I'd probably watch it a second time on a big screen TV as a rental. Am I the only one who thought the Enchantress was hot? LOL

When you get the magazine, could you scan and post any other pics of that VF-31A conversion please.
  18. Video I was too pixilated at the firing scene, couldn't make out what it was being fired.

Yeah, as much as I like the VF-31, I'm only gonna be buying one each of Messer's, Chuck's, Mirage's and Arad's DX. But the VF-31A, I'll be down for 2 definitely.
  20. But honestly how difficult would it be for them to at least do a Star Wars and stick a few greeblies on top of a real firearm to make it more sci-fi looking and not like a contemporary modern sporting rifle. Just for me, this is the kinda thing I always notice and that annoys me when watching a movie and it takes me out of the movie and spoils my suspension of disbelief. They spend millions on the look of the movie, designing cool futuristic looking space ships, vehicles, cities, spacesuits, sets etc and then cheap out on the weapons and use unmodified, present day firearms......Grrrrr. Unless that character shown in the trailer is presented as having a backstory where he's a collector of antique weapons, then this is laziness on the behalf of the production crew and designers.
  21. Yeah, Hick's Ithaca M37 shotgun, the 1911 and VP70 off the top of my head, plus whatever MG the Smart Gun was, (MG42?), can't be bothered to Google it ATM.

And also they could milk the VF-31A mold further by releasing this:
  23. Has anybody heard any news whether there will be any Super Pack versions of the VF-31 from TomyTec?
  24. If that is the case, then assuming the VF-31's LU-18 beamgun is technically capable of having a beam grenade function, that could potentially mean that the Kairos's LU-18 beamgun is capable of firing in beam grenade mode (just we never see it on-screen). Whereas on the Seigfreid the beam grenade function may be deliberately removed or disabled to limit lethality and collateral damage. However, I have my doubt's that the VF-31's LU-18 beam gun is capable of having a beam grenade function, just based on the fact that it is physically a smaller gun than the larger, beam grenade capable beam guns carried by the Sv-262 / VF-27 / VF-30 / YF-29.
  25. I'm thinking the "C" in the LM-27C may stand for Compact, whereas the "S" in LM-27S is for Standard. Looking at the animation and the toys and the models, I think it's pretty safe to say that the part of the railgun visible on the underside of the shroud is pretty much all barrel and the feed system likely doesn't start until near the rear of the shroud, where the railgun attaches to the block on the forearm. What I'd really love to know is whether the magazine is (A) just in the rear shroud, (B) in the block on the forearm that the railgun attaches to, or (C) actually extends into the forearm (or at least part of it), which IMO could well be likely and give a decent size magazine capacity, given that the railgun rounds already take up much less space then conventional gunpod shells. I do wish Kawamori would publish magazine capacities for all the gunpods and also missile capacities for the micro-missile launchers.
