That's worrying. I also bought my set when they were first released. I'll have to check mine when I get home. Graham

LOL....thought I'd stumbled onto a sex advice forum for a second there . Graham

This is so cool: - http://media2.big-boys.com/iraqfootage.wmv Graham

Thanks for the pics guys. After seeing the stickered up greenie, I might just have to buy one now. Graham

That's what I've been saying, make it so it looks as nice as a 1/48 VF-1 and scale it up to say 1/60 scale (about as big as a 1/48 VF-1) or perhaps 1/55 scale and the fans will come running, money in hand to buy it. Graham

New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...
Graham replied to GRAND CANNON's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I bet like the MSIA Z Gundam 2nd ver. cuz I own one, it isn`t a bitch trust me, just swap the body frame or you can ask Graham he gave a good review 2 years ago. Q. To all of you BTW what`s the best Z Gundam figure ? I've read somewhere that the EMSiA Zeta is going to use exactly the same transformation as the MSiA Zeta, which is a good thing IMO Graham -
As I've stated before, the white color of that bootleg VF-19Kai toy would lend itself very well to making a VF-19P custom. Graham

I'm not saying that Yamato should make a mass-produced YF-19 toy and attempt to sell it for US$1,000 a pop. That would of course be very stupid. But I do think that these insane auctions for the LS YF-19 plus the strong demand for them at Wonder Fest (120 people entering a lottery for 10pcs) do indicate that there is definitely a demand for a nicely sculpted transforming YF-19 toy. Let's say that Yamato made a high quality, larger scale YF-19 toy, then they could probably sell a production run of 15,000 to 20,000pcs at a retail of between US$100 to US$150 quite easily IMO. I do think the demand is there and the time is right for the return of the YF-19. Graham

Oh well, I just lost the auction for a second Liquid Stone YF-19 that was up for auction on Yahoo Japan. This time the winning bidder paid 111,000yen for the privilage of owning it . For those of you that have been following this saga, the first one on auction a week ago sold for 94,000yen. Figured this time if I bid 100,000yen I could get it, but I was still outbid. I really could not justify going any higher. Yamato....Hello! When you have people willing to spend over US$1,000 on a nicely sculpted transforming YF-19, I think that says something about the market. Graham

Despite owning a fair number of consoles over the years (Megadrive, Super Famicon, PS1, Saturn, Dreamcast & PS2), I consider myself a casual gamer only. Anyway, out of all the consoles I've owned, I think I've been most happy and comfortable with Sony's PS1/PS2 controllers. I guess in the end it's just down to individual preference. Graham

IIRC, they are limited Wonder Fest items and so pretty hard to get hold of. Noel would probably know the price. Graham

These pics will be going up in the revamped model section soon, but I thought I'd post the pics of my completed kits here first. These two kits are: - 1) Yellow Submarine 1/144 scale VF-17D/S Fighter, built as a VF-17S with FAST Packs. 2) Wave 1/100 scale VF-17D/S Battroid, built as a VF-17D with FAST Packs. I'm not posting the pics directly in this thread as they are a bit large, but here's the links for anybody who wants to look. Yellow Sub VF-17 - Pic 1 Yellow Sub VF-17 - Pic 2 Yellow Sub VF-17 - Pic 3 Wave VF-17 - Pic 1 Wave VF-17 - Pic 2 Wave VF-17 - Pic 3 And no, I didn't paint these myself (I have no skills), they were commissioned from two different model builders in Hong Kong. If Valk009 is correct and Hasegawa's next Macross kit is a VF-11, I'm hoping that it might be possible to modify some of the Hasegawa parts to use on the Yamato VF-11B toy, specifically the tail fins and FAST Packs. Graham
-
Actually, the recent Virtual On mecha kit was a bigger surprise to me than the Battroid VF-1 kit. Graham

LOL! One suggestion, perhaps Agent One should not be allowed to attend, or if he does, all door knobs should be removed prior to his arrival, to avoid any err....embarrasing incidents I can just see it now: - Mari: Eww...what is that guy doing to that door knob over there? OMG that's sick, I'm outta here". Graham
-
I'm just wondering if one of these days, Hasegawa will decide to give us all a big surprise and release a large scale PG style variable kit. Although if they did this, I imagine that they would play safe and go with the VF-1 first. Graham
-
Personally, I'd like to see Battroid mode kits of the YF-19/VF-19A and YF-21/VF-22S from Hasegawa. And of course Battroid mode kits of the VF-0A/B/D/S and SV-51 as well. Gerwalk kits would of course also be nice, but are probably too much to hope for as, the Gerwalk has always been the least popular of the 3 modes and Hasegawa may think that the sales figures would not justify the expense of producing these kits. What does surprise me though is that Hasegawa have not yet released a FAST Pack version of the YF-19 & YF-21 kits Fighter mode kits. These would sell quite well I would have thought, especially if they included a Fold Booster as well. Graham

Wonderfest 2005 winter
Graham replied to Bariaburu Faita's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
Heh, first time I saw that pic, I thought what's with this group of Eminem wannabes Then, I realized they were *trying* to do the YF-19 thing that Isamu does with his hand in Macross PLus. Graham -
I don't know since I can't read Kanji, but do they list Megazone 23 on the Japanese side of their site?. And, this is what I meant by Yamato going global. http://www.yamato-toys.com Their site used to be yamato-toys.co.jp, which now has a redirect to the new Yamato-Toys.Com. They also changed from the .co.jp URL to the .com URL at least a year ago as well. Common guys, get with the program here Graham
-
Old, old news. They changed the name of Toycom to Yamato USA like 1-2 years ago IIRC. Graham

We already know from watching DYRL that FAST Packs are installed in fighter mode. Yes, loading (oversize) cannon shells one at a time by hand is pretty funny. As for the hand refulling from a 55 gallon drum, it could have been a lot worse. If the guy who made the diorama had been a Row-Boat-Tek fan, he might have had the ground crew stuffing flower of life leaves into the fuel tank . Graham

The reason the other thread was locked is because there have already been half a dozen threads on this movie since July last year. This Admin would prefer members try to search to see if there is already a thread about the subject before starting a new post and then simply contribute to the oldest or longest thread you find. On a Macross forum where most members are fans of high-tech jets and/or aviation buffs, it's a pretty sure thing that a movie like this will have been talked about to death already. It's very easy to find these old threads, simply by searching for the words 'Stealth', 'Jessica' or 'Biel' . Here's the oldest thread on this movie, from July of last year. Some good comments on the plane design in this thread. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=9070&hl And surprise, surprise another member 'discovers' this movie in this thread, also from July last year. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=9687&hl Gasp............what do I find, but a third thread on this movie also from July last year. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=9483&hl Here's a thread from August of last year. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=10549&hl And yet another more recent thread, this time from just mid-February this year. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13380&hl And today's new thread. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13564&hl Graham

Did any one can tell me NOT copy from MACROSS plus
Graham replied to Re-issue Liu's topic in Movies and TV Series
Actually, there have been at least 3 threads posted about this movie in the Other Anime & Sci Fi forum. Every so often another member starts a thread on it , thinking that he has discovered something that nobody else knows about . Graham
