No interest in a Macross MMO PC game. All I wanna do is fly 3D Valkyries and blow stuff up. Still waiting for either VF-X3 or a M0/M+ game for the PS2, then I'll be happy. Graham

No idea, can't recall the last time I saw one for sale. Graham

From the photo it looks like pulling on the triggger guard partially retracts the slide so that you can check the chamber. Is that correct? Looks like an accident waiting to happen IMO. I can just see somebody accidently pulling on the trigger instead of the trigger guard...BOOM.....instant AD. or perhaps ND would be more appropriate. Graham

Err.....if you mean the Macross Zero pictures that Nanashino posted on the previous page, they are by Tenjin Graham

Ahem, don't you mean model 629! Stainless steel remember. Graham

Just noticed something interesting last night. In the book, Tenjin has modified the pic of the Fighter mode VF-1S Strike Valk Hasegawa box art. On the original box art, the VF had no weapons mounted on the wings. However for the full page pic shown in the book, Tenjin has added RMS-1 & UMM-7 missiles and also added some extra Valks in the background. It was a great pic originally, but looks far better now IMO. A small thumbnail of the original unmodified pic is shown in the bokk opposite the full page modified pic. Graham

I'm with you there, I don't like it either. Graham

So what do you think of them? How accurate is the sculpt, as you are our resident Viper expert. I love mine and might try to pick up a third Viper. Graham

Wouldn't it be funny if every single person on Galactica actually turned out to be a Cylon. Who knows, they could have actually made more than 12 models. Graham

Yep, saw that green one here in one of the Hong Kong TRU at the weekend. Graham

I had the chance to buy this back when it first came out in 1997(?). One of the local Branches of Animate imported one and it sat in the store window for several months before somebody bought it. I wasn't very impressed by the detailing, sculpt or material so I passed it up. Yes, it is PVC, but I think it was a hard PVC like the GFF figures, rather than soft PVC like on MSiAs. As you can see from the MW link above, it came prepainted and mostly assembled, with just some minor assembly required, like attaching the wings, tails, landing gear and missiles. And no the landing gear were not retractable AFAIK. I think the only moving part on the who thing were the wings, which from the pictures seem to have variable sweep. Graham

Don't know why you guys are having problems ordering from Amazon.co.jp. I don't read a word of Japanese and I had no problem. But here's the trick, just click on where it says 'English', makes ordering a lot easier Graham
-
What is that thing(a cd?) that can be purchased with the book for 7350 yen? Sorry, I have no idea what your are talking about. When I view the amazon.co.jp page, I don't see any CD, just the book. Graham

I ordered mine from amazon.co.jp Graham

IIRC, the release date is scheduled for 30th April. Graham

Edited the thread title to correct the spelling of 'Gearwalk'. I can't stand spelling mistakes on the thread titles. Any Row-Boat-Tekkies visiting these forums will see them and think we are a bunch of tards who can't spell correctly Graham

or in a stiff breeze... err... any breeze for that matter. Better not even breathe near it Graham

I quite like Asahi Dry. Can't stand Budweiser though. Graham

Very nice work Cobywan. Can't wait to see the finished item. Graham

This is something that is very well known and has been discussed countless times previously on this forum. They are not a Pepsi can and a Heineken. However told you that does not know what they are talking about. The two cans are a Budweiser and an Octopus Highball. Graham

Mine arrived yesterday afternoon (Monday April 18) from amazon.co.jp. Still no news from HLJ about my order with them. As Nanashino said, it is an awesome book and if you are a fan of Tenjin's art or just a fan of nicely drawn VFs, then you owe it to yourself to order this book. The book contains the following artwork: - All of Tenjin's Hasegawa Macross model box art, up to and including the VF-1A/J/S fighter kit released last month. Tenjin's art from the Japanese Macross Plus, Macross Zero & SDF-Macross DVDs. Tenjin's box art and promotional art for the Playstation games; VF-X2 and Macross Plus Game Edition. Tenjin's art from the Macross 2000 calendar. Some newly created art, such as the cover art, a picture of Roy and a large folding VF-1 pic at the back of the book. Various work that Tenjin did for the Macross Zero OVA. One non-Macross picture, a Spitfire MK I. Great book. Graham

You are forgetting Yamato's earlier 1/60 version! (Although many of us wish we could forget it) . Graham
-
Errr.....ok. When Yamato have spent nearly a year in development, have the CAD designs finished and already have a completed physical sculpt, plus have probably started to cut the steel molds, I'm sure they will be influenced by a photo of a model from an old hobby magazine . Just because a few fans prefer that model kit sculpt, doesn't mean Yamato is going throw out their existing design and start all over from scratch. There is already a lot of money invested in the design so at this stage of development there is no way that they are going to be making any major changes. Graham

And in July, they will release a 'Silver Spar Squadron' repaint. I like this one as it has kill markings under the cockpit. Graham

I guess Joyride have been listening to fan complaints that their first Viper toy was too dark, as they are releasing a whiter 'Blue Squadron' Viper in May. Graham
