  1. Locking this thread, as it's already being discussed in the model forum which is more appropriate. Graham
  2. Just picked up the new November issues of both Hobby Japan and Dengeki Hobby magazines. Unfortunately, neither magazine has any new pics or info on the 1/60 Yamato VF-0S. The only Macross stuff in the magazines, is pics of the 1/48 GBP and Hasegawa VF-0A/S with Ghost, which I have already posted in their respective threads in the toy/model forum. Guess the bastards are going to kep us in suspense for at least another month. Graham
  3. Just picked up the new November issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine and they have some pics of the GBP. Click on pic to enlarge. Graham
  4. Have broadband at home and work for a couple of years. No problems with speed for me on the MW forums. Graham
  5. Damn that sucks. Better go and check mine, I haven't transformed it from fighter mode yet. Graham
  6. LOL.....great description. Yes, I agree it looks hideous. Graham
  7. Better to buy the FAST pack version rather than the regular one. The FAST pack version comes with improved hip joints that have a metal pin in them and won't break unlike the regular version. And the FAST pack version also comes with a nicely sculpted pilot figure. See the review in the toy section. Graham
  8. From the pics, it looks like the hands are not panel lined. Oh well, it will be a simple 5 minute job with a Gundam marker. Graham
  9. Heh, fraid not. After I removed the Macross page for my file, I binned the rest of the magazine, so it's long gone. Graham

    VF-X & VF-X2

Yeah, I'm still pissed at them for not including the excellent M3 intro on the 20th aniversery DVD. Graham
  11. I've had all 5 of my Hasegawa kits (YF-19, VF-22, VF-0S, VF-0D & SV-51) built for me wheels up. The guys who built them for me said it was pretty easy to build them that way and didn't take much extra work. I just think the kits look so much more graceful, elegant and alive when displayed wheels up, especially if using either the Hasegawa Macross stand or the tripod stand that many of us use. Graham
  12. The box art for the VF-0A/s with Ghost looks fantastic, as does the completed mode. They should have built it wheels up though, would have looked much better IMO. So are Hasegawa going to be selling those clear plastic batroid mode stands then? Graham
  13. Only AC3 had fictional designs. Graham
  14. Looks really nice. Wish I could paint that well. Heck, wish I could paint at all. Graham
  15. For those of you that are having trouble with the link in the first post, here's the Wave kit: And the Hasegawa ad: Graham
  16. Tentacles eh! In that case may I suggest Urotsukidoji Graham
  17. Errr......that's supposed to be Lick Hunter . Move along folks, nothing to see here. Graham
  18. I don't judge anime on whether it's new or old. There's both good & bad old anime, just as there is good & bad new anime. As long as an anime is of a genre I'm interested in, has decent animation, a well written story, good action scenes, nice mecha designs and well developed characters, some T&A and no whiny angst-ridden teenage boys in it , then I'll give it a chance. Graham
  19. Never really thought of Reinhart's sister as power hungry. Seemed to me like she just wanted to be left alone for most of the series. Graham
  20. That's the upcoming Hasegawa 1/72 scale injection kit. Graham
  21. That's two seperate VF-0S battroids, one by Wave and one by Hasegawa. Graham
  22. Putting the chunky back in the monkey Graham
  23. My guess would be non-transforming resin kit. Graham
  24. IIRC, on these new forums every member has a terribly small limit of only 1.95mb for posting pics. If you reach that limit you either need to delete pics you have already posted to free up some space or have no choice but to use an image hosting service. Graham
  25. IIRC, I thought 33cm was the length given for the figher mode of the 1/60 VF-0S, not the height of the battroid mode. Anyway, whether it's fighter or battroid, 33cm is still bigger than the 1/48 VF-1. I'm not at home now so can't measure my Hasegawa kits, but the Macross Compendium gives the full size measurements of the VF-0 and SV-51 as follows (VF-1 length thrown in for comparison). VF-0 length in fighter mode = 18.69 m SV-51 length in fighter mode = 22.77 m VF-1 length in fighter mode = 14.23 m, So we can see that the SV-51 is slightly more than 4 meters longer than the VF-0 and a whopping 8.5 meters longer than the VF-1.
