  1. Also, I hope half the movie is not going to be wasted on reintroducing all the characters. While I accept, that some time has to be spent on this for those who have never seen the TV series, I hope that it's kept to a minimm. Graham
  2. Wonder how long I'm going to wait until Serenity makes it's way to Hong Kong. As it's not a mainstream movie, it probabaly won't even get a theatrical showing here, so I'll have to end up waiting for the DVD to be released. Graham
  3. For all you Aquarion fans, here's 3 pages of scans of the new toy from the November issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Enjoy! Page 1. Click on pic to enlarge. Page 2. Click on pic to enlarge. Page 3. Click on pic to enlarge. Some non-standard transformations can be seen on pages 2 & 3. Graham
  4. What number is it? And does it contain any Macross pics? I'm not buying a magazine just for Aquarion pics. Graham
  5. The new November issue of Model Graphix magazine has a two page spread on the Hasegawa VF-0A w/Ghost kit in a custom paint scheme. Here's the scans: - Page 1. Click pic to enlarge. Page 2. Click pic to enlarge. Graham

What about the two side by side antenna on the backplate hatch? Don't see them yet. Graham
  7. I would guess that with the GP-01 and GP-02, Kawamori was probably just given a spec sheet and told to design a mecha around it which had to follow the usual Gundam design rules, i.e. be blue, white & red have V antenna, twin head guns, two beam sabers etc. I also doubt very much that he had any control over the weapons, unlike with Macross. 8. The GU-11 fires a 55mm round. Even with advances in technology, there is a limit to how small you can make the barrels, feed mechanism, drive motor and ammuntion storage, i.e. the size of the gun mechanism and working parts is dictated by the size of the round it fires. And don't forget that the GU-11 also holds 200rds of ammuntion. As for the extendible stock, it's probably supposed to be just like the stock on real rifles, to allow aiming from the shoulder. The size of the GU-11 is actually quite realistic for a 3 barreled 55mm weapon with internal ammo storage. One of the many reasons I prefer Macross to Gundam and one of the things I find very unrealistic about Gundam is that there is absolutely no way, you could fit 2 x 3 barreled 60mm guns (or 75mm in SEED!) in the head of a normal size Mobile Suit, the head would just not be big enough, as a 60mm or 75mm multi-barreled Gattling type cannon would be huge, far bigger than the head of a typical MS. 12mm or perhaps 20mm rotary guns yes you could fit, but nothing larger. As I said, Kawamori knows his stuff and gets it as realistic as possible within the constraints of a giant robot show. Gundam designs like Okawara just wing it and make up stuff that doesn't make sense, but just sound cool. Graham
  9. I wonder if Jewel Staite (Kaylee) has any Asian blood in her as she looks of mixed ancestry. Graham
  10. So, Knight26, was it Shinsei Industries or General Galaxy that employed you? C'mon inquiring minds wanna know if it's the YF-19 or YF-21 you are gonna be working on. If the MWcon is at New Edwards, ya gotta make sure to invite Lucy. But seriously, congrats on the new job. Graham
  11. You've got the ultra rare battle damaged version I reckon. Graham
  12. I think he means the whole groin armor. Graham
  13. Heh, I for one have no interest in online play at all. Never have. Guess I'm in the minority. Guilty confession, I still haven't gotten round to playing AC5 yet, despite buying it when it was first released. It is next on my 'to play' list though, right after I finally finish Killzone. I seem to be in this habit at the moment of buying games then not playing them until 6 months or a year later Graham
  14. Bottom right pic clearly shows that the calf ones do open. Graham
  15. Yamato has some new pics of the 1/48 GBP on their site. Graham
  16. Seems like the chase Max is pretty rare and I don't think anybody here has found a clear hair Minmay yet, so it also must be very rare. Graham
  17. I actually prefer Shinn to Athrun or Kira. Guess I'm the only one. But of course Luna is still the best (and cutest) character. May pick up the HCM Pro Destiny tonight, not sure yet. Graham
  18. Actually those TGS 2005 booth girls are not technically doing cosplay. Graham
  19. Nope, no clear haired versions this time. Graham
  20. Nope, no cleared haired versions this time. Graham
  21. Renato, if you find any new pics in the new issue of Figure Oh, whenever it comes out please let me know as I can't check them here as they are always sealed. Graham
  22. Well, he's getting old ya know, so obviously he had to go in for some hip replacement surgery. Graham
  23. Bah, everbody knows that Gamlin & Mylene are the main characters of Macross 7, not that singing fool Basara. Graham
  24. MW is my start up page. Graham
  25. The more I look at the pics, the more psyched I'm getting about this toy. The fighter mode looks georgeous, seems absolutely accurate to the lineart and without the ugly hanging shoulder problem of the 1/48. The battroid mode proportions also look excellent. Transformation seems to be based on the 1/48, which IMO is a good thing as it is a proven system. If anything, the transformation should be quicker as there is no need to retract the hands or heatshield. I for one am glad Yamato decided to drop the hinged flaps and detachable nose cone. While in theory it's a good gimmick, in reality they were a pain in the ass and won't be missed by me. Can't wait until next year when this thing is released. Graham
