    A company I used to work for in the mid-to-late 1990s provided the blank fireams and blank ammunition for all the Jackie Chan movies. I worked on one of the movies that Ratner directed. I guess it was probably Rush Hour....I forget, as I've never liked Jackie Chan movies. Anyway, IMO this Ratner character was a bit of a dick. Graham

    Hmmm.... I'd have to say my favorite non-anime Starfighter designs are: - *Colonial Vipers, from both the old & new Battlestar Galactica. *SA-26 Star Fury (the improved 2 seater version) from Babylon 5. *X-Wing from Star Wars. *Gunstar from Last Starfighter. Graham

    I missed it when it was shown in HK, but I'm guessing it was probably dubbed into Cantonese with no English subtitles (as usual for Japanese cartoons in HK), so not much point in me watching it as my Cantonese is extremely basic. Just gonna have to wait for the inevitable US DVD in about 5 years time . Graham

    Just watched the trailer and it doesn't look quite as bad as I thought it would. Still, like most shite movies, the trailer probably shows the only good bits in the entire film. And what's up with Doom using dark side lightning?I didn't realise he was a Sith Graham

    Mr. & Mrs Smith will undoubtedly have piss poor gunhandling and unrealistic gunfights, with probably some completely poo (fake) martial arts scenes thrown in, add half a dozen car chases to the mix....yawn. And no doubt lots of massive explosions with huge fireballs so beloved of Hollywood. Note to Hollywood, things rarely explode with a huge fireball . And worst of all, it stars Mick Jager in drag AKA Angelina Jolie : I probably would have enjoyed this movie when I was 12, but nowadays, this sort of Hollywood nonsense just annoys me. Graham

    One thing I hate about the modern M16/M4 is the A2 style pistol grip. Gotta be the most uncomfortable rifle grip ever designed IMO (at least for my hand). Not only is it too skinny (and I only have average size hands), but that bloody finger groove is intensly uncomfortable for me. It falls right under my finger instead of between. If I were to ever buy an M16/M4 type rifle, the first thing I would do would be to replace the standard grip with an Ergo Grip. Mind you, I'd rather have an FN FAL, HK G3 or that Robinson Recon M96 rifle anyday over an M16/M4. Graham

    Finding the 1/60 VF-1S Strike Valk is not too difficult in HK. Also, the Max & Milia 1/60 Q-Raus are quite easy to track down, especially the Max. But yes as Andy said, the 1/48s are getting harder to find and more expensive. Graham

    According to the RotS Increadible Cross Sections book, the S-Foils on the ARC-170 are supposed to be heat sinks. They open up to help dissipate heat generated by the guns and shields. Graham
