  1. The only parts you will need to remove if you so choose are the engine intake covers, just like on the 1/48 VF-1. Apart from that the 1/60 VF-0S will have perfect transformation just like the 1/48. Actually, the 1/60 transformation should in theory be simpler, as the heatshield and hands do not retract (which IS anime accurate). Graham
  2. The size of the 1/60 VF-0S has been given as 33cm, although it is not clear if this is the fighter mode length or the battroid height. Either way, it is bigger than a 1/48 VF-1. Graham
  3. I don't think that NATO was worried so much about the quality of Soviet tanks, but rather the quantity. I'll have to go re-readup on the subject, but IIRC back in the 80's the Warsaw Pact forces outnumbered NATO forces by a significant margin. Graham
  4. That pic on this page is the model kit (1/144 I think), not the HCM Pro Strike Freedom, which IIRC is not out until the end of this month. Graham
  5. No, they are mostly ABS, with perhaps just a few small PVC parts. But yes some of the joints were still lose on the Type Zero I handled. Graham
  6. Definitely no plans to shell out my hard earned dollars on original Destiny DVDs. Heck I probably won't even bother watching the last 4 episodes. Graham
  7. So do people actually pay money to buy that comic? Or do Harmony Gold employees hang around on street corners giving them away to anybody stupid enough to take them? Graham
  8. I've already posted the scans from the November Model Graphix earlier in this thread. There is only 2 pages of Macross stuff. Graham
  9. The bast#rd wasn't included in mine Graham
  10. 'Fight Back To School' (1991) is Chow's best film IMO. Graham
  11. Slightly larger pic of Tenjin's beautiful box art. Graham
  12. Perhaps Lick is bright pink with all that pent-up frustration from not getting any from frigid Lisa for 20 years. Poor Lick Graham
  13. It amazes me that you guys actually kept track of the postion of each figure with the carton. Heck, when I got mine from HLJ, I just pulled out the boxes one by one, ripped them open and then threw away the carton and the individual boxes. Graham
  14. If Lick Hunter now has robo-hips, does he also have a robo-dick? And is it protoculture powered? Graham
  15. Yeah, I thought I read somewhere that Abrams and Co admitted that they are just making it all up as they go along. Graham
  16. And all these years I thought the Veritechs were powered by stuffing leaves and flowers into the fuel tank Graham
  17. I don't own an Xbox, so never played Halo. But isn't it just some guy in armor running around shooting aliens and jumping in and out of the occasional wheeled vehicle? Is there actually enough story to base a movie on? Secondly, isn't that Andy Serkis guy a little skinny fellow? I thought this Masterchielf was supposed to be a big hulking marine? Graham
  18. Just curious, based on date of release, how do most people define old and new anime? Obviously anime from the 70s and 80s can be considered old, where as anime from the year 2000 to present could be called new. But where does that leave the 90s? Just where do you draw the line between calling an anime old or new? For myself, I consider any anime from the last 10 years (1995 to 2005) new. Graham
  19. In Robotech, protoculture is a flower isn't it? Does that make it a radioactive flower? Perhaps the sap is pink and that's what they rub on their skin? Graham
  20. I like the series, although I've only seen the first 8 eps so far. I far prefer it to Aquarion, the other series that Kawamori is involved with. We already have a 5 page thread on the Eureka 7 anime and toys. You can read it here for people's views on the series. Graham
  21. IIRC, they are about 6 to 7 inches tall to the top of the head. Graham
  22. They are supposed to be sort of cheapy toys, just one step up from MSIA, not deluxe versions. But yes they are sorta sucky. Only buy them if you really love the mecha designs. Graham
  23. I bought one last week, but wasn't that impressed with it. The shoulder beam saber hilts keep falling out and the back weapons don't actually fold. Instead you have to remove the front half from it's closed position, then reattach it in the open position. Articulation is good though. However, I had to search the shelves to get one with a good paint job as most of them had some problem with the blue paint on the center groin part. Graham
  24. I personally love Victory and to this day consider it to be the best of the Gundam TV series, even better than the fan fav Zeta, which I consider highly overrated. Graham
  25. Not bad?!!! They were fricken excellent! Along with CCA, they are the best the Gundam franchise has to offer IMO. Certainly better than the pile of Poo Destiny turned into. Graham
