  1. That's two seperate VF-0S battroids, one by Wave and one by Hasegawa. Graham
  2. Putting the chunky back in the monkey Graham
  3. My guess would be non-transforming resin kit. Graham
  4. IIRC, on these new forums every member has a terribly small limit of only 1.95mb for posting pics. If you reach that limit you either need to delete pics you have already posted to free up some space or have no choice but to use an image hosting service. Graham
  5. IIRC, I thought 33cm was the length given for the figher mode of the 1/60 VF-0S, not the height of the battroid mode. Anyway, whether it's fighter or battroid, 33cm is still bigger than the 1/48 VF-1. I'm not at home now so can't measure my Hasegawa kits, but the Macross Compendium gives the full size measurements of the VF-0 and SV-51 as follows (VF-1 length thrown in for comparison). VF-0 length in fighter mode = 18.69 m SV-51 length in fighter mode = 22.77 m VF-1 length in fighter mode = 14.23 m, So we can see that the SV-51 is slightly more than 4 meters longer than the VF-0 and a whopping 8.5 meters longer than the VF-1. Graham
  6. Got mine today. Pretty good, no complaints. The packaging went straight in the bin. Only buying one this time. Not a huge fan of the VF-1A CF. Graham
  7. NOooooooooooo! You're joking right? My vote would go to Clint Eastwood as Caine "Go ahead Cylons, make my day". Graham
  8. If the price is too cheap to be true, it's probably a bootleg . If the price is ultra-expensive, it's probably an original...............and the manufacturers (especially US manufacturers) wonder why so many people buy bootlegs....sigh! Graham
  9. The November issues of Dengeki Hobby magazine and Hobby Japan magazine should be out in the next 3 or 4 days (usually released here in Hong Kong on the 25th of each month), so hopefully there will be some new pics in them. Of course, I'll scan and post any new pics as soon as I pick up the magazines. Graham
  10. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more. I keep trying to persuade my wife to try a bit of the old multiplayer, together with her cute elder and younger sister and preferably with a video camera to film it all, but no luck so far . Oh I see you are talking about video games........oh well never mind then . Graham
  11. Of course, Roslin will turn out to be a Cylon, so even if she does die, there will be more copies. Graham
  12. OK, if we're just talking epic sci-fi books (not movies), my choice is: - Iain M. Bank's Culture novels. Harry Turtledove's Worldwar & Colonization series. David Wingrove's Chung Kuo books. Ian Douglas's Heritage Trilogy Pattrick Tilley's Amtrack Wars. John Ringo's Posleen War books. Frank Herberts Dune series. (none of the books written by others after his death though). Graham
  13. Any pics of the 'Stealth Viper'. Very curious. Graham
  14. Just want to see if Renato or any of our other Japan based members are going to be at the Tokyo game Show 2005, which is being held from 16th to 18th September? Of course if anybody does go, please make sure to check for news on any new upcoming Macross games. It would be great if we could finally have a sequel to the Sega/AM2 DYRL PS2 game. Graham
  15. Why do I think if Yamato were to come out with a SV-51, they will stuff it up? 327955[/snapback] If they get someone like Nishikawa (the guy who designed the 1/48) to do the sculpt, everything should be good and dandy. I've got confidence that they won't screw up the SV-51. But do you realize that a 1/60 SV-51 is going to be huge. I've got the Hasegawa 1/72 SV-51 and VF-0S and the SV-51 absolutely dwarfs the VF-0. Graham
  16. Pretty difficult getting bootleg anime DVDs at the moment here in Hong Kong as the HK Customs authorities have been really stepping up their raids on the bootleg anime DVD shops recently and most of them are currently closed. Ands it's not like in the past, where Customs would just raid once a twice a year only and the shops would be back in business after a few days. Now, they are getting raided as soon as they try to reopen and most of them seem to have shut down for good. Graham
  17. Saw the pre-production samples a couple of weeks ago together with Blackaces, Neova and Valk 009. The figures looked excellent. On seeing them, I immediately placed a preorder for Hicks, even though I don't collect or currently own a single 12" action figure. Graham
  18. Gotta try to get hold of this somehow. Graham
  19. When was the last time you saw an anime character of any age with hairy armpits? Graham
  20. Awesome videos, although the crashes made me go ouch. Luke, you do realise that you are going to have to make a flyable APHOS as well now . It would be great if we could find some way for Kawamori to see these videos. I bet he'd get a real kick at seeing one of his creations fly for real. Graham
  21. Wow, just looked at this thread for the first time. Absolutely amazing SV-51. Hope you can take and post some video clips of the thing in flight. Graham
  22. Perhaps instead of those Valk icons, we could have a Spiritia level meter or something Graham
  23. Not really keen on the pilot color . Mind you I've never really been a fan of the VF-1A Cannon Fodder anyway. Still going to pick up one, but only one. And that fugly box is going straight in the trash Graham
  24. While space combats are great and all, it doesn't make sense to have them in every single episode just for the sake of having some space combat. The present story arcs don't require space combat and it woud be a bit out of place just to throw in some random space combat to please fans. I'm sure once these story arcs play out then we'll get some kick ass space combat. As Gaijin mentioned in an earlier post a little while ago, season 2 has had lots of CG effects already, just most of it has been in land battles with the mechanical Cylons. And you have to admit that some of those firefights were pretty cool. Graham
  25. Regarding recaps, I can live with a maximum of 1 in a 26 ep series, none in a 13 ep series and an absolute maximum of 2 in a year long series. They have really ovrdone it with the high number recaps in GSD. Graham
