  1. Of course Toynami are going to make sure that the samples displayed at NY Toy Fair look good. Let's hope the final production versions look as nice and are durable, stable have nice tight joints, don't crumble in your hands.... etc. But don't count your chickens before they're hatched. Graham
  2. I wouldn't be too quick to proclaim this a 'quality' toy before any of us have had any actual hands-on experience with the final production version. While It looks nice in the photos and I wish Toynami all the best, their track record is less than stellar. Graham
  3. That Hasbro MKII and Galactica look sweet. Definitely gettting multiples so I can make a Viper squadron. Any idea of the release date and price? On the other hand, that SD Art-Asylum MKVII and lego-type figure looks like crap IMO. Never liked cutsie super-deformed stuff. Graham
  4. Around 800 x 150 would be fine. Graham
  5. Thanks, for the links. That's the sort of effort that is really appreciated and helpful, rather than the snide comments from certain other members. I'll get those links added to the events page on Monday. Graham
  6. Ok, I'll get them added on Monday. No updates on the weekend folks, that's strictly family time. Graham
  7. You could have asked me before you know! I don't check out the model forum that often. Graham
  8. So I guess you'll be attaching the FAST packs to your snowboard pants then. Graham
  9. Just pinned it. Still checking why David can't pin/unpin. Not sure yet. Graham
  10. Cleaned up the main page a bit and created a new Macross Events Page, although it's still rather rough and needs a lot of submissions to grow. See: this thread for details. Graham
  11. Guys, I've just created a MW Events page on the main site, which is replacing the old page that had Noel's Wonder Fest reports (mostly broken links now). This new page will be a place where all convention and hobby show reports will be placed to make them easy to find. This is still very much a work in progress and I need your guys help to point me to links where I can find all the missing convention and hobby show reports or photos to link to the events page. Also, if you guys have photos you want to submit, PM me and I'll give you an email address where you can send them. This page will need your submissions to grow. Also, would any of you artistic types like to have a go at creating a banner for the top of the page, as it looks a little bare now. Thanks, Graham
  12. Sorry, after reading the NY Toy Fair thread, I couldn't resist editing the title of this topic. Graham
  13. So was the MPC Beta (Tread) on display or not at NY? Graham
  14. Haven't tried that, but I've had so many people come up to me and tell me that I resemble Nick Cage that I've lost count. It's gotten to the stage that I find it intensly annoying. Personally, I think I look nothing like him. Graham
  15. The picture in the lower left corner is the upcoming Wave VF-0S model, not the Yamato toy. There is already a thread on that in the model forum. There is no such thing as a VF-0J. Graham
  16. NY Toy Fair is on at the moment. Hopefully, Hasbro will reveal the new BSG toys and pics will start appearing online anyday now. Keep your eyels peeled people. Graham
  17. I'll get Wicked Ace's other Sundowners added now. Graham
  18. 1. Yes. 2. No I don't have one..............yet! 3. Yamato gave it to them. Graham
  19. "Man Doll"........................LOL, great phrase I'm also very surprised about these 1/100 VF-1 toys. Man, they really came in under the radar didn't they. Not sure if we really *need* (or want) yet another line of VF-1 toys though. It will be intersting to see if they are really a copy of the Banprestos or a completely original Toynami design. Still, they look fairly nice and if the reviews are good, I'll probably pick up a VF-1S just to pose with my 1/100 VB-6. Graham
  20. You'll find the people here generally helpful, friendly and extremely knowledgable about all things Macross. However, as a newbie it's always best to follow normal forum etiquette when joining a new board and be polite and use the search function before posting (or at least say you used the search function, but couldn't find what you wanted). A full list of does and don't can be found here. Enjoy your stay here. Oh, I'm guessing you got banned from the RT forum? Graham
  21. If Jesse is still too busy, I can take a shot at it. I've got some time for updates now. Just updated the main site today in fact. Graham
  22. You will probably make a better impression if you don't refer to the people here as 'dorks'. A friendly word of advice. Graham
  23. I've just updated the MW Custom Toy Gallery with 9 new custom toys, including the new 1/48 VF-1D customs (see pages 4 & 5 of the 1/48 gallery). Also, a couple of new custom Joke Machines have been added. If any custom toys you know of are still missing from the gallery, please let me know and I will get them added. Graham
  24. A DYRL-style VF-1 can carry in excess of 180 micro-missles. Five in each box-type missle rack, and two per wing/four per plane (120), plus another 30 in each Super pack for a grand total of 180. 368084[/snapback] Each wing-mounted UUM-7 pod hold 15 micro-missiles (not 5). So x 4 pods = 60 micro-missiles. The arm-mounted NP-AR-01 micro-missile launcher pods hold 3 micro-missiles each. So x 2 pods = 6 micro-missiles. The back-mounted HMMP-02 micro-missile launcher pods hold 20 micro-missiles each (not 30), that is if we assume the Yamato 1/48 toy is accurate. So 2 x 20 = 40 micro-missiles. The maximum number of micro-missiles for a Super Valkyrie would actually =106 micro-missiles. Graham
  25. Thanks, I did not know that. Graham
