1. 50mm! That's one big round. Are you sure you don't mean .50 (as in half inch)? Graham
2. No need to panic guys. I can say with 120% certainty, that the VF-0A has not been scaled up to 1/48 and neither have the legs been redesigned to be detachable....LOL! It's safe to say that Image Anime is either a) being lazy, b) talking out of their collectives asses, c) have no idea about the products they are selling. Graham
3. Personally, I like to see the 1/60 YF-19 made in this color scheme and also this color scheme from the June 2002 issue of Model Graphix Magazine. Of course, I'd also like a VF-X2 Ravens version and a low-vis grey version. And David is correct, a VF-19Kai/S/F/P would require about 95% new tooling from the YF-19/VF-19A, making it effectively a new toy and a very expensive proposition for Yamato. Graham
4. More parts, and more molds than the 1/48 VF-1, so tooling costs were higher. Development time was also pretty long as well. It all adds up. Graham
5. Sorry to burst everybody's bubble, but I currently know of no plans to make an SDF-1. Or if there are plans, they haven't told me. Lots of other great stuff tho. Graham
6. What? No pics to back up that claim? 420565 Oh, there's pics, just can't show em. Graham (Torturing Macross fans since 1999)
7. B mode looks pretty hot as well. ;P Graham
8. G mode looks exquiste. Graham
9. my god, did you watch the animation they have? They have an F-16 actually DOCKING to a guide rail before the missiles are sent along a second rail to be loaded. That's freaking crazy. 420525 I guess they've been watching too much Macross Zero, especially Focker's aerial rearming scene with the gunpod. Graham
10. 417631 'Multi-dimensional Hornets'.....? That's one ability I didnt know they had! The US navy been installing Fold Boosters on them or something? Graham
11. Personally, I'm not happy about the use of stickers over Tampo printing. Graham
12. There's been some changes in the tail markings from what I was told a few months ago. Apparently, the VF-0A is not going to have any Tampo printing on the tails as according to HRH, there is no standard markings. Tail markings will now be supplied as optional stickers with both Rabbit & Skull markings. There will also be some other US Airforce or US Navy markings (if I understood correctly) on the sticker sheet, although whether they are for the tail fins or elsewhere on the plane, I'm not sure. Graham
13. Yes, there is a second production run with according to Yamato, improved tighter knee and elbow swivel joints and a tighter backpack hinge. I just got mine today, but haven't had a chance to take it out of the box yet. If it's not in stores in Japan and HK yet, it should be any day now. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to tell just from looking at the box whether whether it is a 1st or 2nd run. I personaly, didn't consider the slightly loose joints on my 1st versions a problem at all. It never affected the toys ability to hold a pose. Graham
14. Fighter mode, Battroid Mode, Gerwalk mode, in that order. Graham
15. First off, let me say this is not an official poll. It is not done at the request of Yamato. I'm doing it purely out of my own curiosity. Please do not take this as an indication that Yamato intends to make more Macross Plus toys. As far as I know there are no plans, or even if there were , I couldn't say anyway. So, if Yamato did decided to resculpt the VF-11B or YF-21 in 1/60 scale, which one would you prefer to see released first? My personal choice would be the VF-11B. Graham
16. But if it's supposed to be Shin, his helmet should have red markings. Graham
17. You think this is the cool stuff? You ain't seen nothing yet! Graham
18. This poll is flawed. It is never been announced that the 1/60 YF-19 will be released in September. I don't know why you are incorrectly assuming that. No firm release date has been publically announced yet for the YF-19. Only 'Winter' has been mentioned. I can tell you for free it is definitely not September and has NEVER been planned for September. Graham
19. Just added a page icluding the official publicity photos, on the VF-1A Kakizaki DYRL type to the MW toy section. Graham
20. Added a page on the 1/48 Angelbird to the MW toy section. Graham
21. Added a page on the VF-0A to the toy section. Graham
22. Toys or models should be compared to Kawamori's lineart for accuracy, not against the actual animated art.
23. First it's Vader's small hands, now it's the YF-19's small wings! Sheesh, what is it with you people and size? Graham
24. I'll get the scan from Hobby Japan up tonight also. Graham
25. Wing connections were very strong on the 1/72. The only breakages I ever saw or heard about on the 1/72 YF-19, were: - 1) snapped knees, due to how thin the plastic knee was (solved on the VF-19A when they went to a full knee). This is caused during transformation from fighter to battroid if too much force is used to pull the lower legs away from the arms. 2) Infamous 'Tab-B' on ver. 1 YF-19 (Solved on ver. 2 and VF-19A with redesigned stronger tab). 3) Broken blue plastic hip joint on one of my YF-19 ver.2. The blue plastic hip joint bar had sheared in two, where it joins to the intake section. Only heard of this happening once and don't understand how it happened, as that YF-19 had been sitting in a box for 5 years in my closet! Graham
