  1. The main flaw with Delta in my opinion was that there was almost no mecha and mecha action at all during episodes 14 to 25. That's an unacceptable long time to not feature any mecha action I can accept an episode or two out of a 26 episode series not having any mecha action, but 12 consecutive episodes with no mecha combat is just unacceptable. I'm not even asking or expecting episodes full of action but at least give us 3 to 5 minutes of mecha per 20 minute episode. Prevous Macross series have for the most part managed to balance the mecha, combat, singing and character moments rather well in the past. With Delta it was like the script writer(s) didn't have any idea what to do with the mecha after episode 13.

    Macross VR

Hopefully it's a VR Variable Fighter combat game for the PS4 and not a VR Macross dating sim!!!
  3. I'd never even heard of PSTV until I read this thread, now I'm seriously thinking of buying one, so I can play Delta Scramble. I've no interest in buying a handheld Vita, it's expensive just to play one game and I really don't want to have to carry a second electronic device around as well as my smartphone. However, with the PSTV being about half the price of a handheld Vita, I can more easily justify the cost to myself. And besides, I'd rather play Delta Scramble on a big screen TV.
  4. So nobody has been brave enough to try to cut out the inaccurate solid middle section of the Elysion's triangular antenna yet? I'm guessing the size is too small to attempt to cut.

    Bandai DX VF-31

My will is weakening, on the verge of trying to secure a preorder for a second Messer VF-31F. But damn, I'm also looking forward to Arad's VF-31S as well. Just got my TomyTec VF-31S fighter in today and based on that can imagine how awesome the VF-31S DX is going to look.
  6. Despite the fact that we have never had a season 2 of any Macross TV series before, I'm still hoping the new Macross TV series will be a continuation of Delta. The characters were all likable and the mecha designs were great and I think they deserve more screen time. Also hopefully a bit more emphasis on mecha combat compared to season 1 would be nice as well as more character development and screen time for the supporting characters. I'm not asking or expecting to have non-stop mecha action, but at least give us a minimum of 3-5 minutes of mecha action per each 20 minute episode and no more than 2 episodes in a 26 minute season that don't feature mecha.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Yay, finally managed to snag one at AmiAmi.
  8. I'd actually like to see Macros Delta, season 2. Give Delta a chance to redeem itself, but of course it would need a different director and writer that actually understand Macross and mecha anime and also feature more mecha combat.

    Bandai DX VF-31

I'm sure they probably have an explosive charge system that ejects any part of the console clear that would obstruct ejection.
  10. Actually, the old Imai 1/72 transformable VF-1 model kits from 1982-83 were the first transforming 1/72 scale Macross model kits. But anyway, so far the newer Macross Delta 1/72 scale VF-31 model kits from Bandai seem to be holding up well. I only have experience with the VF-31J, but it's certainly an improvement over the Bandai 1/72 scale VF-25 Macross Frontier kits in terms of how well it locks together. My only complaint with the 1/72 VF-31J model kit is that the head laser is very fragile and snaps easily when handling the kit.

    Macross figures

He did say Macross, not Robotech.

    Bandai DX VF-31

I forget, were there any scenes in the anime where we saw the pod on the VF-31A Kairos in the open position? If anybody can remember, can you please post the episode number, or a screenshot, thanks.
  14. Really? I've personally never met anyone who doesn't like the first movie, it's a classic. I actually prefer it to T2.
  15. _The VF-25 really needs a v.3 release with ratcheted joints and wing hard points.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Examined my two DX VF-31J while wearing my reading glasses last night (yep, old age is catching up, needed reading glasses since last year). Both have no noticable paint wear so far after about 2 weeks. My first one has been transformed 4 times and currently resides in Gerwalk mode and is handled every 2-3 days. My second one has never been transformed, but gets handled (swooshed around) daily and the canopy and multi-drone bays get opened regularly. Personally, I'm fine if I do get a bit of paint wear not really an issue for me, as planes rarely look pristine in real life. But anyway, hasn't happened yet on mine.
  17. Wow, the Lil' Drakens are actually larger than I expected.

    Bandai DX VF-31

I'm personally fine with having the Delta DX releases spread 2-4 months apart, makes them more affordable, without racking up a huge credit card bill if they were all released at once.
  19. Damn, found the front are rear landing gear on one of my VF-19Advance that I always display in fighter mode is getting really loose and collapsing very easily, especially the front landing gear.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Not too worried about being not being able to snag a 31F so far. If it's anything like the 31J, will be able to get one close to the release date using FigInStock notifications.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Yeah, same, I gave up my lunch break so I could sit in the office, starring at my laptop screen and pressing F5.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Even though I was right there, the moment it went up, still couldn't snag one.
