  1. The fact that it says 'YF-19' and not 'VF-19A', should give you a hint as to the color. C'mon, even if I knew the answer to your second question, you know I couldn't say. Graham
  2. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams ... glitter in the dark near Tanhauser Gate. All those ... moments will be lost ... in time, like tears ... in rain. Time ... to die. Graham
  3. Trust me, it looks a 100 times better. Graham
  4. Oh well, the cat is out of the bag at last. And to sort of answer the question above, just slightly shorter than the VF-0S. Graham
  5. I love dystopian future movies sci-fi made in the 70s, they are the best. Death Race 2000 is one of my all time favorite movies. Graham
  6. Eh.....what's the connection between BSG & Smith & Wesson? I haven't seen it! Graham
  7. Ah, Miami Vice, one of my favorite (if not the favorite) TV series. I'm eagly awaiting the release of MV season 3 DVD set. Graham
  8. Coming. Got the pics done and am about 25% done with the text. Just very busy at the moment though. It's a bad week. Graham
  9. What's the toys height in battroid's mode then? Graham
  10. *does a google on I AM LEGEND* HRM??? WHAT! *blinks* Ah! They are remaking The Last Man On Earth, but with a different name, again. No way in hell is Smith gonna be able to pull it off. Price did an awsome job the first time, but now it sounds like they are gonna make it a modern day lame 'monster movie'. 409909[/snapback] I remember several years ago, Arnold's name was mentioned as starring in a new remake. Never seen the original Vincent Price version, only the 1971 Charleton Heston remake, released as The Omega Man. Graham
  11. Thanks. The Legioss is supposed to be 10.25m long in fighter mode, so if the toy is 23.5cm long, that would make it about 1/43.5 scale(?). Graham
  12. Quick question for those in the know. Are the Toynami Alpha MPC actually 1/55 scale or not? If not, what scale are they and what's the length in CM in fighter mode? OK, that was actually several questions! Graham
  13. Planning to go see this on June 30 with a bunch of the HK MWers. Graham
  14. Good news, the diecast bar is being redesigned. If you have a broken one, contact the shop you bought it from, so they can contact Yamato to arrange for a replacement bar. Graham
  15. NOooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! That is wrong on just so many levels. Yes, I agree that I Am Legend is a great book. Graham
  16. Of fairly recent, non-commercial Sci-Fi movies, I enjoyed Gattaca, but fell asleep on the plane trying to watch Solaris. Perhaps I should rent it to give it another try. Graham
  17. I find it extremely worrying that Jon Favreau is currently scheduled to direct John Carter of Mars. Graham
  18. While they are not meant to be played with in the way that say a 5 year old plays with his toys, they are meant to be strong enough that an adult collector can repeatedly transform and repose the toy without having to fear breakage through normal and careful daily handling and transformation. Yamato has proven that it can make detailed yet durable transformable collectors grade toys. A case in point is the 1/48 VF-1 series. After a few initial teething troubles when the toys first came out, such as people having to learn how to correctly handle the BP8 hinge, most people here now regard the 1/48 VF-1 toys as sturdy and durable and transform and handle them without fear. So far, the 1/60 VF-0S also seems to be holding up pretty well as well. Graham
  19. Including mine, there's only 2 or 3(?) reported cases of this happening that I'm aware of, so the incidence of breakage of this part is not very common yet. Hopefully, it will turn out that only a small amount of the metal bars are flawed (badly cast?) and prone to breakage and most are fine. Graham
  20. What annoys me is that mine broke during transport, not during transformation. When I received it, I transformed it once only from bike to robot and it was fine. It didn't seem to have any obvious weak spots, so I put it carefully in a bag and carried it carefully home in the bag in robot mode. Only I guess I wasn't as careful as I thought, as as soon as I get home and take it out my bag, it's already broken...........grrrrrrr! Graham
  21. Here's a photo of the broken metal bar on mine. Note, it's the peg at the end of the bar that has broken off. Click to enlarge Hopefully, Yamato will issue some replacement bars, as once this part breaks, the arm can no longer securely attach and falls off all the time. Graham
  22. Very loosly based on his work, but yes, good flicks. Graham
  23. Heh, if Doc Octopus had a mecha, that's what it would look like. Graham
  24. Received my Pop Box 1/6 scale DYRL Hikaru figure today (thanks to Noel) and should have a review up by the end of the week. Quite impressed by it so far. If you are thinking of buying one of these, don't forget to take advantage of the free international shipping offer, by clicking the banner at the top of the forums (or on the bottom of the main page) Graham
