Just checked the shoulders on my VF-0 toys last night (4 x VF-0S & 3 x VF-0A) and thankfully all are fine. Graham
  2. I realise that the YF-19 is less detailed looking due to it being a far more advanced design than the VF-0 and this is reflected in the lack of fine detail shown in Kawamori's line art. What I was actuall refering to is the accuracy of the sculpt and proportions. Although Yamato did a fantastic job with the YF-19 sculpt IMO, we all know that the YF-19 uses far more anime magic in it's transformation between the 3 modes than the VF-0. This shows in some areas of the YF-19 toy, such as the gullet & skinny thighs. The VF-0 is comparatively more accurate to the anime in all three modes than is the YF-19. They are both fantastic toys and I love them both, but I'd actually have to give a slight nod towards the VF-0A, which is fast becoming my favorite VF design and toy. Graham
  3. As much as I like the new YF-19, I actually think Yamato did a better job on the VF-0A sculpt. I really love the look and detail of that toy. Graham
  4. You guys baby your toys too much. I've never felt scared of playing with any of the Yamato 1/72, 1/60 or 1/48 line. I transform them all quite roughly. Graham
  5. Nintendo WEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Sorry. Graham
  6. So that's what they're calling it these days is it? Too much of that will make you go blind, don't ya know! Graham
  7. Photography on my review is done and the pics are uploaded to the MW server. Just got to finish the review text (about 40% done) and edit the page in Dreamweaver. Should be finished before New Year's day. See how hardworking I am, even doing stuff for the site on Christmas day!!!!!!! Graham

Can we have some photos please? We've got several people this has happened to, but no pics yet. I'd like some pics to pass onto Yamato. Graham
  9. For me it wasn't the shoulders, it was the ends of the thin metal swing bars. I'm also 2 for 2. Graham
  10. If my son were a couple of years older, I probably buy some of these sets, so we could play with them together, as they look pretty cool. At two and a half, he's still a bit young though. Graham
  11. I agree. With the exception of the wonky gunpod, I also think the toy is fine. Graham
  12. Yes the booster can light up. No, AFAIK, there are no missiles hidden in the leg FPs. Haven't actually seen a set myself yet. Graham
  13. Guys, here's some color photos of these lil' guys from the new February 2007 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Angel Bird! Graham
  14. Guys, here the first look at the YF-19 battroid mode with FAST Packs attached. Looks really mean. Can't wait to get these to add to my 19. Pics from the new Feb 07 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Graham
  15. Guys, this thing is 24cm long, that's hardly a keychain. Graham
  16. Is Megatron still a Walther P38 in this movie? Graham
  17. To be followed later no doubt by the HCM-Pro RX-78-2 Gundam 1/60, 1/72, 1/100 etc, etc, ad infinitum. Yawn..........this is why I gave up on Bandai. Graham
  18. It means there's a breach of the containment field. I advise you to throw it away now, less you want to die a horrible lingering death by radiation poisoning! Graham
  19. Wow, talk about thread necromancy. Resurrecting a thread from 2003! Graham
  20. I've noticed a few people in the last few pages of this thread mention they have problems with he shoulders. What problems, can you please elaborate? The shoulders on 3 of my production YF-19 are all fine. Unless you are referring to the gap in fighter mode? Graham
  21. The rear landing gear doesn't angle outwards, without moodification (drilling). Graham
  22. EMSiA Sazabi & Nu-Gundam just released here in HK. Paint application is crap IMO though. Took one look and went....bleh! Although articulation does appear to be pretty good. If you are looking for good looking toys of these mecha, I'd stick with the HCM-Pro Nu-Gundam & special finish HCM-Pro Sazabi which looks absolutely gorgeous. Bandai, where's my HCM-Pro RX-79G? One of the few Gundams I actually like. Graham

    VF-0A poll

The poll should have an option for 'both'. Graham
  24. I agree with you about the Bandai being super easy to disassemble. That's some great poses. I'll have to get round to doing the knee mod myself someday. Graham

There have only been two transformable YF-21 garage kits released as far as I know. One by Studio Half Eye (SHE), the other much rarer one by D-Stance. You are probably thinking of the D-Stance kit, which had a very nice sculpt, but like most garage kits is not suitable to be coverted to an ABS/diecast mass-produced toy. While Wave has released a 1/100 scale YF-21 garage kit, it was battroid mode only and non-transformable. Graham
