  1. Surprised you guys haven't discussed the upcoming MP Megatron lineart that was shown in last months hobby mags, or did I miss the discussion. Graham

Not break completely, but develop a 3-4mm crack in the shoulder. Graham
  3. If I was ever going to get a tattoo, I'd probably chose one of the girls from the GBP leg art, possibly # 26. Graham
  4. Just stick a Hasegawa decal on your arm. Far less painful and not permanent. Graham

    Capt. A:

Send a PM to both Kurt & Jung. I know for sure Kurt takes on custom commissions and you can see lots of his excellent work in the MW custom toy gallery on the main site. Jung also does fantastic work, but I'm not sure if he accepts commissions. Jung's work can also be seen in the MW custom toy gallery. Graham
  6. I need to confirm this with Yamato, but I have a theory that the gunpod was deliberately left a bit loose to allow it to twist slightly when the YF-19 is placed on the Yamato stand. The placement of the stand attacment piece prevents the gunpod from pointing straight ahead and forces it to twist to one side. Graham

  8. Technical issues. Yamato have always claimed the 1/48 wasn't designed to easily be converted to two-seater and still keep perfect transformation. It can be done as Capt America's conversion kit is proof, but it's not an ideal solution as the head hangs too low in fighter mode and the heatshiled is removeable rather than being stored under the chest plate. Graham
  9. For god's sake, NO rub on decals like on Bandai's MG kits. I hate those things and have never managed to get one to completely stick to the kit. No matter how much and how carefully I rub them, little patches always stay firmly attached to the sheet. Graham
  10. I'd personally prefer a Macross 7 VF-22 Max type rather than a Macross Plus YF-21, but that's just me. Anybody who loves to see Max kick ass in a VF, owes it to themself to watch episode # 44 of Macross 7. Graham
  11. And Bandai 1/65 VF-17D, cus I love the 17 and it's such a rugged toy. Graham
  12. 1/48 Hikaru DYRL VF-1S Strike, cus DYRL rules! 1/60 YF-19, cus Mac Plus rules too. Oh and 1/60 VF-0S & VF-0A, cus they look so hot, even if the shoulders are fragile. What, I can only choose one?! Graham
  13. There are new toys coming out soon. The CAD drawings and prototypes have been shown in the last few issues of Hobby Japan & Dengeki Hobby. Pretty small and under 4K yen IIRC. Graham
  14. All these years and I never noticed that part and I like to think I'm pretty knowledgable about the 19. Graham
  15. So just to clarify, I'm to tell Yamato to never reissue the Max & Miria VF-1J Super, right? Or do we have our wires crossed? Graham
  16. The answer to that I already know and have known for a long time. Graham
  17. Wow, can't believe my Fighter to Battroid transformation video guide on Youtube has been viewed 560 times so far! Graham
  18. Meeting confirmed for Thursday afternoon. As for posting an interview, we'll see. Graham
  19. Very nice. Graham
  20. Can't find where I read it, but I seem to recall hearing that it was only the case with the VF-0, not with other VFs. Graham
  21. According to the Macross Compendium, the vF-0 did make use of conventional materials for the outer skin. See: - STRUCTURE: Space metal materials are used for the composition of the fuselage's frame, but titanium/carbon composite is used for the outer skin. Due to AWAG/RA 105 SWAG energy converting armor which uses Overtechnology, the VF-0 can employ surplus power to triple the Fighter mode's armor strength in Battroid mode. (Future variable fighters will incorporate similar technology.) Graham
  22. If there's any questions you want me to ask, can somebody please put them all in one post and quickly as the meeting should hopefully take place in the next couple of days. Graham
  23. The things on the back of the legs in Fighter mode are the Battroid mode shoulder FAST packs. Graham
  24. We should add this 1/60 VF-0S Max Custom: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=21269 Graham
  25. I would recommend a Yamato 1/48 scale VF-1 toy, as the look good, are durable and there are many colour variations to choose from. As to whether you choose a VF-1A, VF-1J or VF-1S, that is up to you and depends which one you think looks best. I'd also recommend the new 1/60 scale Yamato YF-19 toy. It looks fantastic and so far (touch wood), seems durable. Although the 1/60 VF-0S & VF-0A toys look beuatiful, many people find the joints on the VF-0S too loose (although I don't think so). The VF-0A seems to be having some serious problems recently with the shoulders and biceps cracking, so until Yamato improves the design of the upper arm, I cannot recommend this toy. Graham
