  1. All three of my production VF-0S are sufficiently tight that they can hold poses, without the arms sagging. Graham
  2. I like it nice and tight! Graham
  3. Yes, it pops out and yes, there is just about space for a seond figure, although he might be an amputee. Graham
  4. As far as I know, no. At the momet, the plan is to sell the FP/FB set by itself, not bundled with the 19. Of course, the toy biz is highly changable and what a company announces one week, may change by the next., so never say never. All I can say is as of this moment, a bundle is not planned. Graham
  5. Fold Booster & FAST Pack set will be released early next year, probably March or April. Graham
  6. Probably not sneaked out, more likely an early gift sample given to a favoured friend of buyer by Yamato. Whoever has it shouldn't be posting pics tho! Graham

    1/60 VF-11

I really hate the nose sculpt of the SHE VF-11B, it's too big and bulbous. The head laser is al wrong as well. Graham
  8. The two pieces are spare cannards made of ABS plastic. The cannards on the toy are made of POM plastic. POM is actually more durable than ABS, but cannot be painted easily. Yamato decided to include two spare cannards made of ABS, for customisers who want to paint the toy in a custom paint scheme, as ABS can be painted much more easily. The different cannard material has nothing to do with durability. I've had a preproduction sample for nearly 2 months and production samples for about 2 weeks and have transformed them many times. The POM cannards are very durable. Graham
  9. Probably, it's shaping up to be pretty long. Graham
  10. One of you is a prophet. Graham
  11. Not sure why everybody is saying this is so small. 24cm is a respectable size. Yes, it might be a little overpriced for the size, but Macross is not a hot prooperty, so small companies like Wave & Yamato have to sell at a higher price as they just do not sell the quantities like Bandai with Gundam and Takara with Transformers. I'm getting one, until something better comes along (and no, do not read anything into that statement). Graham
  12. That's correct, a VF-19Kai/F/S/P would require 99% new tooling, as nearly every single part is signifcantly different from the YF-19/VF-19A. Graham
  13. No, the arm cannon thing is not included in the fold booster FP set. I've been talking with Yamato for a while now to try to persuade them to make it, for a second set of accessories, perhaps together with the wing missiles shown on the cover of the TIAS M+ book, although this would require new wings with hard points (not a big deal). We'll see. Graham
  14. It's very tight, don't worry, no floppiness at all. They must have been feeding it the little blue pills Graham
  15. Just to let you know, I've got about 60% of the photos for the review done as well as got the sticker and instruction sheets all scanned in. Just gotta finish the rest of the photos tomorrow and then get the actual review written. The review will be posted on Dec 7, which is the official Japanese release date. Graham
  16. The section behind the pilot seat is removeable. The Fold Booster set will include FPs,Yang + seat. Graham
  17. Yes, as I mentioned a page or two back it's set to hit the streets in Japan on 7th or 8th December. Graham
  18. Nope, they cannot be swept fully back. Graham
  19. Regarding the overly large leg FAST packs and the need to bend the intake joint to attach them on the Yamato YF-19, basically it is a compromise between trying to get the FAST packs to look good in both fighter and battroid modes. It again comes down to the extreme amount of anime magic used by Kawamori in the YF-19 design. The 19 & 21/22 use more anime magic in their transformation than probably any of Kawamori's other VF designs, with many parts either shrinking, getting bigger or completely changing shape between modes. If you look at the attached battroid mode lineart below, you can see that Kawamori has drawn the leg FAST packs covering the whole of the lower leg, right up to the tail fins. Unfortunately, this is not at all compatible with the fighter mode, as the wings bisect the lower leg horizontally in the upper 1/4 to 1/3 of the leg. Yes, Yamato could do a slimmer FAST pack that sit completely below the wing and keep the leg straight, but then in battroid mode, the FAST back would look odd as they would only partially cover the leg, leaving a large part of the lower leg bare. Like I said, compromise. IMO the best solution would be to have separate battroid and fighter mode FAST packs, but it ain't gonna happen. Graham
  20. Both I think, but I'm not 100% sure at this stage. Still checking. Graham
  21. I'm pushing hard for the white & blue & white & orange super nova schemes. No confirmation yet. Still checking who owns the rights to them I think. Graham
  22. Regardless of whether or not it's 'anime accurate' or accurate to HFH's original concept idea, I love the color scheme of the Yamato VF-0A. Best toy they have released so far IMO. Looks stunning in all 3 modes. I'll happily buy the Shin Version as well and a brown one if they ever release it. But, then I'm just a Yamato whore, so wadda I know? Graham
  23. LOL......I'm done with Yamato, but I'm sill buying all the upcoming releases! As for variety, patience. They can only release stuff so fast ya know. Graham
  24. I'm hoping that you will all be pleasantly surprized by the QC on the YF-19 as Yamato have really spent a lot of effort on QC for the 19. Graham
  25. Didn't IHP also make removable full armor for the VF-11, or am I thinking of somebody else? Graham
