  1. I gotta say after buying this game, if you haven't bought it yet and were on the fence about buying it like I was, go and buy it, it's a great game. If you've played and liked the PSP MAF/MUF/MTF games and liked them, you'll love this. It's similar, but better graphics and the VFs handle better than the PSP games IMO. My only complaint is I wish the maps were 2 x or 3 x larger and of course I'd love more VFs and full campaigns for all eras.
  2. Are we really pinning our hopes on Evolution toys? We all know how that is gonna end!
  3. Really, awesome work.

    Bandai DX VF-31

I wonder when we will get an announcement on the next 31 DX?
  5. I'd buy a VF-19S with the Super Packs.
  6. I always thought the VF-25 in SMS use was quite under-armed in the atmosphere, having only the 58m gunpod, head laser(s), 25mm wing root guns and in SMS use at least in the anime and movies, missiles were never carried on the wing hard-points in atmosphere. It wasn't until IIRC the PS3 Hybrid games that we saw missiles on the wings of the VF-25.
  7. Back in 2008 I got a PSP to play Macross Ace Frontier, then Macross Ultimate Frontier, then Macross Triangle Frontier. I carried my PSP daily from 2008 to 2012 and played the sh*t outta those 3 games. Haven't used my PSP since 2012 though and on recently digging it outta a drawer where it's been for the last 5 years unused, I found the start button has died. Took it to the local Sony Playstation service center yesterday, but they said they haven't serviced any PSPs for 3 years and don't even have parts anymore . Another repair shop quoted me HK$750 for repair (US$96). I could probably get a new one for not much more than that! Anyway, no burning desire to get a handheld Vita, I'm quite happy with my PSTV so far, got it set up in my bedroom, so I can play Macross Delta Scramble on my bedroom TV while laying in bed....hahaha. I guess I've just kinda lost the desire to carry around a handheld system, plus too many other things need money.....urghhhh I probably won't buy any other games for the PSTV unless another Macross game is released for it. I have a habit of buying game systems just because a Macross game is released for it. My Superfamicom, Playstation, Dreamcast, PS2 and PS3 were all bought specifically to play Macross games (although of course I did buy other games for them as well), but it's safe to say if not for a Macross game being released for those systems, I may not have bought them.....hahaha
  8. Heh heh, yeah I just unlocked Makina last night and got a taste of the unlimited ammo.
  9. Here's the Itasha VF-31A I unlocked after completing the first Chaos mission. I got an SS on first attempt. Not sure if that had anything to do with unlocking this VF or not.
  10. Nice. Looking forward to seeing this build progress.
  11. It used to be the other way round. I used to refuse to use HLJ, because they used to be so slow at getting orders out the door, so much so that I'd prefer to use NJ, even though they were often more expensive, especially if you missed the initial discounted pre-order price, but NJ were fast at getting orders out. But it seems like HLJ have got their act together in the last 1-2 years and get orders packed and out the door much faster now.
  12. Gotta disagree with you that the VF-31 looks like recycled everything from the VF-25. Looking at the 1/60 toys on my shelf they are completely different, especially in fighter mode. Actually, the extra long nose of the VF-25 has really started to bug me recently. VF-31 in fighter mode of course looks more similar to the YF-30 (which it is based on) with a dash of VF-19F/S (one of my favorite Valks) thrown in. Yes, in battroid mode, there are more obvious similarities in appearance between the VF-25 and the VF-31, such as the nose cone position and the wings sticking out from the back, but that's about it really.
  13. Yes, big thanks from me as well, Zoroastres. Just like your Macross 30 guide, this Macross Delta Scramble guide is invaluable.
  14. The VF-31A I got after completing the very first Chaos mission is grey with delta wings, but has large Itasha pics of Mikumo and Freyja on the back and wings.
  15. Yeah, I play on a Japanese PSN account and have both the recent free and paid DLC installed. I don't have any pre-order stuff though. I only bought the game about a week and a half ago.
  16. Just started watching Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency on Netflix. Awesome show. Never read the Douglas Adams books, but I gather this show is only very loosly based on the books anyway.
  17. Based on squinting very hard at the mosaic from a distance, I'm guessing it's either a VF-2SS with SAP or more likely a v2 Sv-51. The pic kinda looks like it could be an Sv-51 in Gerwalk mode with boosters attached.
  18. Yeah, I've got the VF-31A after doing the first Chaos mission, but it's an Itasha Valk and I'm really not into Itasha stuff at all.
  19. One question is the VF-31A only available with the Walkure art on it? I was hoping for a plain grey VF-31A, as per the anime.
  20. So, got the PSTV set up last night. Managed to create a Japanese PSN account and then get the paid and free DLC downloaded and installed without too much problems, despite not reading a word of Japanese. I didn't even have to re-watch the "how to" videos that I watched at the weekend. By the time I got everything set up it was quite late though, so I only played through the 3 tutorial missions and the first of the Chaos missions. Gotta say it felt good to be back on Ouroboros for the tutorial missions, felt like coming home and made me nostalgic for Macross 30..........maybe anther play through is in my future,........hahaha. Anyway, was quite impressed with Macross Delta Scramble so far. The control set up is really good on the PS3 controller and it looks pretty good playing it on my bedroom TV. So glad I decided to get a PSTV and not a handheld Vita to play this. Have to say ArtDink have improved a lot since their PSP MAF/MUF/MTF days. There's more of a feeling of controlling a Valk combat in fighter mode is much improved and I really like the map on the first mission.
  21. Yes, you'll need a Japanese PSN card to get the paid DLC.
  22. Saw this in a shop in Hong Kong last Friday at the Ins-Point mall for HK$1,380 (US$177), but I didn't buy as I don't have any Arcadia VF-0 toys.
  23. Decided I felt like playing MAF, MUF and MTF again, but on digging out and charging my PSP which I haven't touched in about 5 or 6 years, I found the Start key has died Gotta see if I can find somewhere to fix it.
