Can we have some photos please? We've got several people this has happened to, but no pics yet. I'd like some pics to pass onto Yamato. Graham
  2. For me it wasn't the shoulders, it was the ends of the thin metal swing bars. I'm also 2 for 2. Graham
  3. If my son were a couple of years older, I probably buy some of these sets, so we could play with them together, as they look pretty cool. At two and a half, he's still a bit young though. Graham
  4. I agree. With the exception of the wonky gunpod, I also think the toy is fine. Graham
  5. Yes the booster can light up. No, AFAIK, there are no missiles hidden in the leg FPs. Haven't actually seen a set myself yet. Graham
  6. Guys, here's some color photos of these lil' guys from the new February 2007 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Angel Bird! Graham
  7. Guys, here the first look at the YF-19 battroid mode with FAST Packs attached. Looks really mean. Can't wait to get these to add to my 19. Pics from the new Feb 07 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Graham
  8. Guys, this thing is 24cm long, that's hardly a keychain. Graham
  9. Is Megatron still a Walther P38 in this movie? Graham
  10. To be followed later no doubt by the HCM-Pro RX-78-2 Gundam 1/60, 1/72, 1/100 etc, etc, ad infinitum. Yawn..........this is why I gave up on Bandai. Graham
  11. It means there's a breach of the containment field. I advise you to throw it away now, less you want to die a horrible lingering death by radiation poisoning! Graham
  12. Wow, talk about thread necromancy. Resurrecting a thread from 2003! Graham
  13. I've noticed a few people in the last few pages of this thread mention they have problems with he shoulders. What problems, can you please elaborate? The shoulders on 3 of my production YF-19 are all fine. Unless you are referring to the gap in fighter mode? Graham
  14. The rear landing gear doesn't angle outwards, without moodification (drilling). Graham
  15. EMSiA Sazabi & Nu-Gundam just released here in HK. Paint application is crap IMO though. Took one look and went....bleh! Although articulation does appear to be pretty good. If you are looking for good looking toys of these mecha, I'd stick with the HCM-Pro Nu-Gundam & special finish HCM-Pro Sazabi which looks absolutely gorgeous. Bandai, where's my HCM-Pro RX-79G? One of the few Gundams I actually like. Graham

    VF-0A poll

The poll should have an option for 'both'. Graham
  17. I agree with you about the Bandai being super easy to disassemble. That's some great poses. I'll have to get round to doing the knee mod myself someday. Graham

There have only been two transformable YF-21 garage kits released as far as I know. One by Studio Half Eye (SHE), the other much rarer one by D-Stance. You are probably thinking of the D-Stance kit, which had a very nice sculpt, but like most garage kits is not suitable to be coverted to an ABS/diecast mass-produced toy. While Wave has released a 1/100 scale YF-21 garage kit, it was battroid mode only and non-transformable. Graham
  19. FLEX (actually, it's spelt 'FREX' on their name cards). Is a product development company, not an individual person. Takayuki Nishikawa was the sculptor responisble for the 1/48. Actually, sculptor is the wrong term, as since the 1/48 everthing is done on CAD/CAM and rapid prototyping machines, so maybe calling them 'designer' is more accurate. I don't know who the individual person or persons are that were resposnisble for the CAD designs of the 1/60 YF-19 and VF-0, but I can try to ask. Graham
  20. Macross VO. There are some very long threads on it here and on the old forum. Do a search. There is also some info on it in the Main site games section (scroll down to bottom of page). Graham
  21. Based on the number of submissions to the MW custom toy gallery, that doesn't seem to be the case. In the last few years 1/48 customs have far exceeded 1/55 customs. At the moment, there are 6 pages of 1/48 customs vs only 1 page of 1/55 customs. Graham
  22. The number of RX-78 toys and models that have been releasd over the years is far, far greater than the VF-1. Off the top of my head, here's the ones I can remember. Toys Many, many, many RX-78 gashapons. Many, many RX-78 keychains. Gundam Collection (1/400), many. 1 x Gundam Micro-Bots (scale ?) 1 x Gundam The Origin (scale ?) 1 x HCM (1/144). Several RX-78 MSIA (1/170?) Several kado Senshi (sp?) 1/144? RX-78. 1 x EMSiA RX-78 (1/170?). Several HCM-Pro RX-78 (1/220?). Several Jumbo Grade RX-78 (scale ?). 1 x 1/12 Scale? RX-78. Several GFF RX-78 (1/144?). 1 x all metal unpainted deluxe Gundam that came in metal case (I forget the name) 1/100?. New part metal GFF (1/144?). I know there are many RX-78 toys I'm forgetting as well. That's not even starting on the models. Graham
  23. Good fanfiction is an oxymoron. Graham
  24. Here's 9 pics I just took of the Yamato 1/60 YF-19 with the Bandai 1/65 scale reissue VF-19 Fire Valk & reissue VF-17S Stealth Valk. Sorry, the lighting is not that good as the pics were taken indoors at night. I really wish Yamato would give us a decent VF-17D/S. Graham
  25. Oh goody, just what the world needs, yet another RX-78 toy! (insert sarcastic smiley here). There must be more size, scale and material variations of the RX-78 than any other toy ever produced in either the East or West. Graham
