  1. Many products including a lot of toys do not include batteries. It's pretty common. Graham
  2. The display stand, 2 x overwing boosters, 4 x micro missile pods and 2 x R-33D Amos missiles are all included, as I've mentioned quite a few times before. Graham
  3. The release date is supposed to be 25th July, but this might get pushed back slightly. I'll have more firm news on Friday 20th as I have a meeting with Yamato then. Graham
  4. Got 2 Fold Booster sets and 2 two YF-19 w/Fold Boster bundles so far and really happy with them all. Love the LEDs on the Fold Booster. Graham
  5. I'm so bored with the VF-1, but if Kaiyodo did the YF-19, YF-21, VF-0A/S & SV-51, I'd buy them in a heart beat. Oh, a Destroid Cheyenne would be cool as well. Graham
  6. Tempted to bid, but a little bit scared of the yellow bits being stickers not paint. I know you mention they resist peeling but........... Anyway, can we add this to the MW custom toy gallery? Graham
  7. Looks great, but would even better if the main color was white instead of tan. Graham
  8. Transformers does not belong in the Macross toy forum. Moved to other anime section. Graham
  9. Ditto, keeps happenng to me both at home and at work. Graham
  10. Hmm.....that's bad news that Toynami kept control of the molds and is making them instead of Aoshima. That means they are Aoshima branded only. I'm sure quality would be better if it was a 100% Aoshima controlled project. Graham
  11. Looking at the prices on those links, they are obviously upcoming Hasegawa kits, not Yamato toys. Personally, I think they look great. Graham
  12. No, the white and red YF-19 and VF-1 were not fan customs, they were official, but were one-offs and but will not be released for sale. The blue VF-1S and dark blue YF-19 are the production 25th toys as nobody like the original white and red versions. Graham
  13. It's called bad directing Graham
  14. Will be picking up one of each in one hour froom now. Graham
  15. What about software customers, they knowingly and willing buy software known to be flawed all the time. Graham
  16. IMO, transforming the YF-19 neck hinge is easy if you know how to do it correctly. I've never had a problem with it. Graham
  17. There are no separate HK and Japan versions of Yamato's Macross toys. Each release is made in one production run at the factory in China. There is no difference in either design or materials for the toys sold in Japan or elsewhere. They are 100% identical. Japan doesn't get toys significantly earlier than Hk. In fact there have been at least two times I can recall when Yamato Macross toys actually hit the shelves here a couple of days earlier than in Japan (they weren't supposed to tho). Yes, it's possible I might be getting fed BS. Or possibly my contact either doesn't know about breakages or isn't being told about them. Which would be worse if employees are hiding problems from the top management. Graham
  18. I've asked Yamato on several occasions if Japanese customers were complaining about arm breakages on the VF-0. They told me no. Graham
  19. Another pic, this time showing the back of the upcoming 1/18 DMZ Scopedog Turbo Custom. Graham
  20. Pic of painted DMZ #05 (may not be final colors) with the two extra hand weapons. Graham
  21. Bigger version of the new SV-51 pic. Graham
  22. New pic, showing extending neck gimmick. Will upload larger scan to the MW server later. Graham
  23. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not in contact with Yamato daily. There are times when I might get several phone calls or emails from them in a week, then other frequent dry spells when I don't get any calls or email replies from them for several weeks in a row. Although I have the office and cell phone numbers for my contacts, I don't like to abuse the privilage by bugging them incessantly with phone calls. Instead I usually email them and if they are free to give me info, they will call. Also, they are very busy people. I'm also pretty busy. And as much as I wish it did, my entire life does not revolve around Macrossworld or Yamato toys. Unfortunately, the days where I had a job that let me spend long hours working on Macrossworld updates are long gone. And 'do not disturb', your post #98 on the previous page is pushing the limit of what I will tolerate. Graham
  24. Although both Hobby Japan & Dengeki Hobby have good Votoms coveage this month and both have Votoms covers as well, the Hobby Japan has the longer and better Votoms coverage IMO. Graham
  25. Not sure about the hands on DMZ #05. Although if I was a gambling man, I'd wager they will come with both articulated and fixed-pose hands like DMZ # 03. I've gone off the new style articulated hands myself. While the concept is good in theory, I've found that the individual fingers have an annoying habit of falling off. I've already lost one. The combination of ABS fingers attached to a soft PVC palm doesn't really work as well as if both parts were ABS. I've gone back to using the fixed posed hands and just glue the fingers on. Graham
