  1. Found this pic from the Shizuoka coverage. Graham
  2. Meeting with Yamato tonight, so lets see if they bring me any goodies to play with Graham
  3. Brittle is not really a word I want to hear. Graham
  4. I love the Fatty Ground type. I've got the one with the shoulder spike. The Fatty pilot is much bigger than the Scopedog pilot, definitely not in scale. Or maybe Balarant just gives better and more rations to their troops than Gilgamesh does. Noda Ya, lists the 1/48 Buglary dog as released now, so I'll start checking the hobby shops from tomorrow, to see if it's made it's way to HK yet. Graham
  5. Yeah, one of my biggest beefs with the 1/48 Actic gear Votoms toys is also the solid muzzels on the GAT-22 rifle and also the shoulder smoke dischargers. I'm not brave enough or skilled enough to attempt to drill them out. Thankfully, Takara-Tomy has improved the design with the upcoming 1/48 ATM-09-DD Buglary Dog toy, which looks like it has a slightly recessed muzzle painted black. Graham
  6. Nope, not me. I've got 2 Toynami Alphas (blue & green) and that's enough. I'm going to wait and see the reviews first to see if there are any significant improvements to the build quality and parts fitting before I decide to buy the Aoshima. While I'm sure the Aoshima will have a better paint job and use better plastic, I don't think it's possible to tweak the molds enough to solve the parts fitting and asymmetrical issues. That would require re-doing the design over in CAD and cutting completely new molds, which would be a huge expense. Graham
  7. I feel the quality of Yamato stickers has been improving of late, specfically those on the VF-0A/S, YF-19 and Urban GBP. Graham
  8. I have the latest hobby mags and will get them scanned eventually. Sorry, I'm in a lazy phase for the last few months. Actually, I have about 3-4 months of magazine scans that need adding to the main site. Graham
  9. The Shizuoka Hobby Show is next month IIRC, so hopefully CM's will have an actual test shot rather than just a resin prototype to display there. Graham
  10. Definitely looks like he's overcompensating for something there Graham
  11. Used to have a friend in the UK who memorised the lyrics to all the Fire Bomber songs and used to sing them. I never heard him myself, but by all accounts he was pretty good. Graham
  12. Never saw anything wrong with the pick-up truck. By that time, mankind had been reduced to using whatever equipment they could cobble together. Graham
  13. At the recent Winter Wonder Fest 2007, there was a 1/144 scale VF-19P fighter mode resin conversion kit, for use with the Bandai 1/144 scale VF-19Kai plamodel. Graham
  14. I hope the missiles in the Takara 1/18 RSC missile pod stay in more securely than the missiles in The Yamato 1/12 SMAT-38 9-tube missile pod. Those pencil-sized missiles fell out of the pod far too easily. Graham
  15. Just saw it was announced on Gunota that the Pailsen Files is going to be a 12 part OVA, with each episode being 22 minutes long and the ATs will be all CG animated. Although I prefer traditional cell animation, I suppose CG could be OK for the ATs, if say done to the standard of Macross Zero mecha or better. Graham
  16. I just had a thought. As CM's Corp are releasing PVC enemy labors in scale with their die-cast Ingram toy, I wonder if they might release PVC Inbit toys inscale with the upcoming Legioss & Tread. Graham
  17. Although I display my blue (TV) GBP with the VF-1J Hikaru, I display the Urban camo GBP with the VF-1S Focker. Somehow the Urban camo sceme just looks better on a VF-1S. My woodland camo GBP is still sitting in its box. Graham
  18. The Vanilla Microman has only been shown from the back so far IIRC. I guess they want to keep the face sculpt secret until the last minute. Doesn't bother me, as I'm buying this set for the waepons, not for Vanilla. And speaking of the weapons, they look awesome. Graham
  19. I've been told the wonky gunpod will be fixed. I think they were also looking into making the nose easier to transform, but I don't have any updated news on this. I haven't spoken with them in a few weeks. Graham
  20. Satisfied? Graham
  21. It's far more fun to execute Order 69. Graham
  22. Don't know why you guys like the EMSiA Sazabi. Personally, I think it looks really rubbery, with a pretty poor sculpt. Personally, I'll stick with the HCM-Pro Sazabi, which IMO has a fantastic sculpt, nice crisp details and tight joints that won't losen up like PVC toys. Graham
  23. While The Last Red Shoulder has some awesome AT action, I thought the animation quality was only slightly better than the TV series, being made only one year after the tV series. Red Shoulder Document on the other hand being made a few years later has much better animation and also awesome AT action. They are both great OVAs. Graham
  24. Wasn't this guy a member of the Village People? Graham
