  1. I think Valks actually look pretty good in CG. I'd be happy with a Macross Zero standard of animation for Macross Frontier mecha. It's funny how the opposite seems true for Gundam, that CG Mobile Suits just don't seem to look good. Graham
  2. I would say "stay on topic guys", but's it's not like we have a lot to discuss is it? ...................Drums fingers impatiently on table while waiting for 2009...................... Graham
  3. Haven't watched it yet, but the mecha designs are a huge turn off for me. Graham
  4. As the poll mentions series, I'm presuming this should be restricted to TV series, not movie trilogies or OVAs right? And also to be fair, this poll should really be divided between the following categories IMO: - 1) Western live action TV Sci Fi series (e.g. Trek, BSG, Babylon 5 etc) 2) Japanese Anime TV Sci Fi series (e.g. Macross, Gundam etc) 3) Western cartoon TV Sci Fi Series (e.g. Err.....help me out here guys). 4) Japanese live action TV Sci Fi series (e.g. those crappy Sentai shows and err......?). Graham
  5. Err..how about instead........NO LIVE ACTION ANIME............................EVER!!!!!! Graham
  6. No plan to buy it. Haven't seen it. May rent it later to watch with my son. Like most Michael Bay movies, I'll probably fall asleep half way through it.....LOL! Any hot girls in it? Isn't there some chick with a wierd name? Shia La Beouf or something like that? To be honest I know very little about this movie. Graham
  7. Saw it yesterday. Quite enjoyed it (as I did the first two movies in the series). I will definitely buy the DVD when it's released. I've never really been into the Resident Evil games in a big way, just played a couple of them casually, so any inaccuracies in the movies to the source material doesn't bother me in the slightest. I view these more as zombie/monster movies, rather than Resident Evil game movies. I love post-apocalyptic movies and zombie movies, so Extinction was right up my street. While no means Oscar material, it was overall a decent movie I thought. Graham
  8. It's just that I already have 3 first issue VF-0S out of the box, I don't really want to take any more out of the box. I'm already out of display space as it is. Anyway, here's a pic of the VF-0S w/Ghost combo box that I took on my phone camera. The toy is still sitting under my desk at work....LOL. Graham
  9. Typhoon also has supercruise. Beyond visual, Raptor may have an edge, but when are modern fighters ever allowed to enage beyond visual anyway? These days never. Graham
  10. Ha, Ha. Nope, sorry, it's still sitting under my desk at work. Not really keen to open it to be honest. Want to keep it MIB. Graham
  11. I've found the QC, design and articualtion on the Char's Counter Attack HCM Pros to be great so far. The RX-93 Nu-Gundam & Sazabi are fantastic toys IMO. I'm staying away from anymore 08th MST HCM Pro toys tho. I was so looking forward to the RX-79G and it turned out to be extremely disappointing. Graham
  12. The only advantage the Raptor has over the Typhoon is stealth. And of course, you can buy far more Typhoons for your buck than Raptors. Graham
  13. I was wondering about that as well. Graham
  14. Have informed Yamato about the incorrect colors on the hands and face. Graham
  15. Got it yeasterday. Paid HK$1,200 (US$154), which is a bit pricy for Hong Kong, but I couldn't be assed to shop around and there's only one place near my work that sells Macross stuff anyway. Sorry, the box is still sitting under my desk at work, I haven't even opened it yet. Graham
  16. Let's hope it's not 25 years before they release Macross F! Sorry, this whole 2009 thing is still really pissing me off. Graham
  17. Will be picking mine up in a few hours. Graham
  18. Some forward, some back. On the VF-1A and VF-0A, I usually point them all the way forward. On the VF-1S and VF-0S, they are pointing up, but angled about 20-30 degrees rearward. On the VF-1J they are pointing straight vertically upwards. Graham
  19. Basically, yes. Graham
  20. I'd love an M7 Max & Millia VF-22. I've been try to persuade Yamato to make these for years now. The current situation with both the M7 license and the VF-X2 license is somewhat unclear at the mopment. My advice hang onto those 1/72 VF-19A, don't sell them yet. Graham
  21. Ha, the local TV stations here in HK only showed up to season 2. Guess I have a lot to catch up on. Is that hot chick, Kristen Kruek (spelling?) still in it? Graham
  22. I heard it's been out for a week already, but haven't had time to go to the shops to confirm. Graham
  23. The list of improvements to the arms has been well documented already. To recap for those of you who were napping: - 1) The ABS in the bicep and shoulder area has been changed to a harder ABS. 2) The PVC parts that were causing chemical weakening of the ABS have been removed from the shoulders and biceps and replaced with SBS rubber (the same type of rubber used in sneaker soles). SBS does not react negatively with ABS. The Roy VF-0S with Ghost combo will be the first VF-0 toy where the whole run will have these improved arms. Graham
  24. Don't have time to go pick mine up until Tuesday Graham
  25. The VF-0S with Ghost Combo is now out in Hong Kong. Graham
