Watched episode 3 of Discovery on Netflix last night. I'm actually enjoying it, it's something different to what we've had before. Although if given the choice, I'd still rather see a series set post TNG/DS9/Voy than one set in the pre-TOS.

Can someone remind me when is the release month for the VF-2SS?

The fact that the technology looks way in advance of TOS era and that the Klingon ships look completely different to anything we've seen before doesn't bother me at all. As I mentioned, I'm just a casual fan and I just rationalize it as an alternate reality where the Federation and the Klingons developed differently. Anyway, I'm interested enough after the first two episodes to continue watching and see where they take this show.

Although it's a great fighter, I never really liked the pregnant swollen belly look that the radiator gave it.

I've decided I'm no longer referring to the Discovery Klingons as Klingons. From now I am going to call them Space Orcs.......LOL

Have recently gotten into 1/72 scale diecast WWII fighters. At the moment, just buying my favorite British planes, as I'm British.....haha. So far just have a Corgi Spitfire Mk V, an Oxford Tempest Mk V and a Corgi Hurricane Mk I. Planning to add a Typhoon Mk 1b to the collection soon. Eventually, I'll add my two favorite American planes to the collection, the F4U Corsair and the P-47D Thunderbolt. Probably add an Bf-109 and an FW-190 at some stage too.

Watched the first episode with my 13 year old son last night. We both enjoyed it. I was actually quite impressed by it. Will watch the second episode tonight. I'm more of a casual Star Trek fan (although I've watched all the series and movies, with the exception of Enterprise), so things like continuity conflicts with the other series don't really bother me too much. Glad we get it on Netflix here in Hong Kong, along with all the other Star Trek Series

The Lil'Drakens are nice as standalone toys, but yeah I don't think they look good attached to the 262 and I'd be worried about stress on the wing joint. A standalone pack of the sword, missile pods and shield would defintely been a good idea.

After unboxing my VF-31C, I broke down the next day and ordered a second one from AmiAmi, even though I can't really afford it at the moment. My willpower is so weak non-existent sometimes.......hahaha Gonna keep one in fighter mode and one in battroid mode. It really is a pretty VF.

New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)
Graham replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
Delta is a perfectly fine show as long as you just watch episodes 1-13 and 25-26 and just skip the rest -

I actually still wouldn't mind a Delta sequel, if handled by a competent director backed up with some better writing and more action scenes. I really would like to see more of the VF-31 and Sv-262 in action, I just felt we didn't really get to see them enough. I've actually been thinking what if the Aerial Knights were forced to team up with Walkure and Delta Squad to fight against a common enemy. That could be kinda interesting. -

Although I'd like 2 of each Delta VF, current finances are restricting me to 1 of each

Maybe Arcadia are not too keen to produce the 35th Anniversary design as a 1/60, as after all the 30th anniversary 1/60 was a bit of a shelf warmer.

I would have bought the GFF Metal Composite Z-Plus, if they had made the standard grey colour version.

I'm still holding out hope for Bandai's 1/35th VF-1J that was shown in prototype form back in 2015. I mean as it is the 35th anniversary, it makes perfect sense to release a 1/35 scale toy......haha

One of the key features of the YF-30 and VF-31 was having the interchangeable pods, so IMO it was a huge wasted opportunity not featuring this aspect of the design in the TV series more.

I can't see that ever happening to be honest for reasons of system redundancy. If your HMD craps out for whatever reason and you have no physical cockpit displays you are up shit creek.

I wonder if this effects Toys R Us branches in other countries, such as here in Hong Kong?
