  1. This is an official request to all. Please do not post any pics from existing Macross anime and/or games in this thread. It is misleading, not to mention annoying. Only post pics if they specifically relate to the new TV series or 25th anniversery. Graham
  2. I've been thinking about what I can write about the meeting and the answer is not much to be honest, at least not without violating the non-disclosure agreement. Obviously, I can't divuluge what exactly is going to be released until I'm given permission to. All I will/can say is 2008 and 2009 are going to be very exciting years, with lots of surprises. Yamato seem satisfied with the new harder ABS and SBS shoulders on the VF-0 toys and so far there are no breakages reported. I'm probably going to get a second VF-0S with Ghost just for the purpose of putting the arms through an extended and very rigorous test. No news on whether the Nora face/hand/joint colors will be changed. It looks lke this might be another case of Kawamori wanting his way, regardless of what the CG pics on the official site show. Anyway, we will see. At least the missiles are now the right color. Graham
  3. Going down to 1/72 scale may result in increased fragility, if the same level of articulation/feature/detail/gimmicks etc were to be kept. Yamato chose 1/60 as the best compromise between size/durabilty/cost/features. Graham
  4. Nope, no info in either of the December hobby mags. Of course if you want pics, you could just hack my hard drive. Graham
  5. The SPEC Dragonar is just out. Going to pick mine up tonight. Graham
  6. Good meeting. Found out lots of very interesting new stuff. Unfortunately as usually, I can't talk about 99% of it yet. However, I will say 2008 is going to be a fantastic, if extremely expensive year, from the sheer range of stuff planned. I'll try to address the individual questions posted in the first 9 pages of this thread later, as far as I'm able. Graham
  7. I've heard that Macross Frontier should airing Q2 2008 and we should start seeing some info by this December. Graham
  8. Anybody want to sell me a VF-1S open left hand? Graham
  9. Haro was also in V-Gundam, not sure what other shows have featured it. Graham
  10. On my Roy VF-1S, the Revoltech left elbow joint has a visible gap betwee the side of the elbow ball and the main part. Tried pushing it in, but it dosen't help. Graham
  11. Minor spoiler Warning. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I love this spoiler from Gunota about episode # 4. Hah, There's these super advanced Gundams attacking so what do we do, roll out our most advanced weapons? Nope, let's enlist a to counter them. All I can say, is that the Gundams can't really be such a big threat. Graham
  12. As the title says, I'm meeting with Yamato on Sunday 21st October. If you have any questions or comments you would like me to pass on, please list them in this thread. Graham
  13. It's languishing unwritten at the moment. Been awfully busy and to be honest, I can't seem to get myself in the mood. Graham
  14. Damn, my VF-1S Roy Revoltech came with 2 x right open hands (no left) and an extremely loose left elbow joint. Otherwise, all is good. Graham
  15. Just picked up the Roy VF-1S Strike Valk, but won't be able to open it tonight until I get home. Graham
  16. That Helldiver will be mine, oh yes it will! Graham
  17. No VF-4 planned. No Ghost X9 planned. YF-21 should be Q1 2008. Graham
  18. The RCM Nu was a great toy IMO, so I fully expect the Hi Nu to be just as good. Good.
  19. Oh, god, this topics degenerated into talking about Gundam's balls. Considering locking until we get some proper news. Graham
  20. Referring to the thread title. Should Yamato make them? Heck yes. Will Yamato make them? Sorry, no. Graham
  21. I think I'm the only one with this opinion, but I've always thought the CG vehicles, especially the cars in the GITS TV series stuck out like a sore thumb. Really bad CG IMO. Graham
  22. I think Valks actually look pretty good in CG. I'd be happy with a Macross Zero standard of animation for Macross Frontier mecha. It's funny how the opposite seems true for Gundam, that CG Mobile Suits just don't seem to look good. Graham
  23. I would say "stay on topic guys", but's it's not like we have a lot to discuss is it? ...................Drums fingers impatiently on table while waiting for 2009...................... Graham
  24. Haven't watched it yet, but the mecha designs are a huge turn off for me. Graham
  25. As the poll mentions series, I'm presuming this should be restricted to TV series, not movie trilogies or OVAs right? And also to be fair, this poll should really be divided between the following categories IMO: - 1) Western live action TV Sci Fi series (e.g. Trek, BSG, Babylon 5 etc) 2) Japanese Anime TV Sci Fi series (e.g. Macross, Gundam etc) 3) Western cartoon TV Sci Fi Series (e.g. Err.....help me out here guys). 4) Japanese live action TV Sci Fi series (e.g. those crappy Sentai shows and err......?).
