  1. Ah, but is it "SWS" or "SMS"? Graham
  2. As I've stated previously, I think the logo change may be deliberate, so that it is easier for Big West or Bandai to release the TV series internationally. I'm guessing that perhaps they may rebrand the show for the international market and not use the name 'Macross'. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it and after 60+ years, the UN Spacy just decided it was time for a change of logo. Or maybe it is a parallel universe story (but I doubt it somehow). OK, I'll go and put on my tin foil hat now and sit in the corner and stop thinking so much. Graham
  3. Yes, of course they can. Whoever posed it for the magazine photo shoot didn't fold them out all the way. Graham
  4. Note, I just merged the two YF-21 threads, as it was silly having multiple threads on the same toy. Please confine discusion of the VF-25 to the correct thread. Graham
  5. I just picked up the new January 2008 issues of Dengeki Hobby and Hobby Japan magazines during my lunch break. Here are the scans of the YF-21 pics done on my crappy office scanner. At the weekend I'll do some better scans on my home scanner. The Macross F pics have been cut from my scans and placed in the Macross Frontier thread. Note the ample ground clearance in the side view fighter mode shot. And yes, I can confirm that even with FPs and gunpods attached you still have clearance. Graham
  6. OK, I just picked up the new January 2008 issues of Dengeki Hobby and Hobby Japan magazines and scanned them on my office scanner. Here are the scans of the Macross F articles. Unfortunately, my office scanner only scans at 300dpi. When i get home, I'll remove the two pages from the magazines , so I can scan them completely flat withot the curve for the spine and scan them at a higher resolution. Graham
  7. I agree, VF engines have to get smaller as technology advances, otherwise, some of the other stuff such internal missile bays, internal gunpods etc wouldn't be possible. Although going by Gonzo's opening animation on Dynamite 7, the VF-19Kai's engines look massive! However, I tend to think of this CG animation as an animation error, or rather artistic licence on Gonzo's part. Graham
  8. Well, I just thought it was a bit silly that everyboody was like going "Wow, new VF-25 pics!", when it's just the same pics we've had for two weeks already.....yawn! Graham
  9. On my removable harddrive. Well, you did ask! Graham
  10. We had white & purple VF-1's in the Macross PS2 game, so it's not something new. But, yeah, it's not the best color scheme. Graham
  11. That's what I suspected for the color assignments. I wonder who is flying the white and purple VF-25 from the first video? perhaps that is the new cannon-fodder scheme? Graham
  12. As soon as I have a chance to buy the magazine, I'll remove the page and do a nice flat hi-res scan. I'll check today, but it probably hasn't arrived here in HK so soon yet. We usually get it here on the 24th or 25th of each month. Graham
  13. MBS = Macross Broadcasting System Graham

    SV-51 CF!!!

I don't know, but I imagine they probably will. Graham
  15. They are not new pics of the VF-25 . They are the same as published in last month's New Type magazine and have been in the main Macross Frontier for quite a while already. Although these Hobby Japan pics should be a bit bigger. Disappointing, I was hoping for (a) some proper VF-25 lineart, not the same old CG pics and (b) some new of Macross Frontier toys. Graham
  16. Transformed it to Battroid mode last night. The various wing hinges on mine are definitely tighter than on the Ivanov and the wings don't flop backwards in Battroid mode like they do on my Ivanov. Loving the tightness of the missile attachments as well. On my Ivanov, the missiles fall off at the slightest and I mean slightest touch, but on Nora they stay on really well. Graham
  17. Hang on, I think that is the Macross 25th Anniversery show, NOT the first episode of Macross F. And what's up with those times? What the heck is 26:50 & 25:15? I've never heard of a clock that goes past 24 hours! Can somebody do a proper translation please. Graham
  18. Anybody in direct contact with member IAD (Luke), I need him to check his PMs urgently and give me a reply. Graham
  19. I'm betting on a side story. Graham
  20. The January issues of both Hobby Japan and Dengeki Hobby magazines should arrive here in Hong Kong this Saturday or Sunday. Hopefully, there will be some Macross Frontier news. Graham
  21. There was a scene in episode # 2 of the Macross Plus OVA, where both the YF-19 in fighter mode and YF-21 in fighter mode can be seen firing their twin forward firing beam guns (wing root guns in the case of the YF-19 and elbow guns in the case of the YF-21). And in Macross 7, there are many scenes where the VF-17D/S fighters and battroids fire their twin beam guns on the side of the cockpit/chest, although most of the time you have to be watching in slow motion to catch it. I think in the first Macross Frontier preview clip, the VF-171 can also be shown firing the cockpit guns. Graham
  22. I would imagine they can. The probably can be partially raised/angled up to fire at targets that are behind and above the VF-25. The VF-25 also has forward firing lasers(?) in the wingroots/hips, which can be used to fire at targets in the forward hemisphere. Actually, watching the first video, I'm pretty sure that in the sceen where the white and purple VF-25 is in fighter mode, it can be seen firing the wing root guns. Graham
  23. No, if you check a few pages pack for the New Type center spread pic, you can clearly see the headlasers are flush with the top surface. Aw, heck, I'll just post the pic again. Graham
  24. Oh, it's definitely worth reading from about page 50 onwards, that's where all the new pics, videos and information on Macross F start appearing. You are missing out on a lot if you skip those pages. Graham
