  1. Hmm......the 2059 date if correct makes having the VF-171 in frontline service more believable age-wise. But on the other hand makes it harder to swallow the jump from VF-19 & VF-22 to VF-25 in only 14 years since Macross 7. Heck in 2045 the VF-19/22 were only just entering limited service. Graham
  2. Tell me about it, I was expecting it would be released on the 10th. I'm wondering if there will be another page or two of lineart perhaps? Graham
  3. Perhaps going through a fold? Graham
  4. I'm not into blondes at all, whether real or anime. Give me brunettes any day. Graham
  5. I think it's probably just a generic gas giant, not Jupiter. Graham
  6. Definitely looks like a radar on the top of that Amored VF-25 Gerwalk. Another reason why I think the Armour & FAST Packs are different between the grey & yellow VF-25 & the red and white VF-25 is that in the shots of the grey Armoured Gerwalk, it appears to have additional armor over the nose, something which the white & red VF-25 Fighter with FAST Packs does not. Graham
  7. Here's a good shot of the emblem on Ozma's helmet and also the colony ships under attack. Graham
  8. Here's some more screen caps from the new video. I reckon the armour shown on Ozma's Gerwalk/Battroid is definitely different to the FAST packs shown on the white and red fighter. On the Gerwalk pics, you can clearly see lots of armour on the legs and arms. Graham
  9. Here's a couple of screen shots from the new video, the VF-25 Fighter with FPs and the back of the VF-25 battroid with FPs. Much better resolution on these pics. Graham
  10. Oh man, a higher resolution version of the second trailer at last. Gonna have fun getting screen caps from that. Graham
  11. Very interesting. So it's confimed that Ozma is a Special Forces pilot, not an instructior at the school........good! Hmm...............not sure how I feel about Ranka working in a Chinese restaurant. Too much similarity to SDFM. Couldn't they at least had her working at another type of restaurant, say German, Korean, Spanish, Italian, etc. Graham

  14. Added scans of the July 2007 issue of Newtype to the Frontier page. This is the issue that had the early character and mecha concept art sketches as well as Kawamori's lego VF-25 in Gerwalk mode. Graham
  15. Hmm....your experiences with HLJ must have been very different to mine. I've always found HLJ to be snails pace slow. Experience has taught me if you want anything in a hurry, never, ever order from HLJ as they are the slowest company I have ever dealt with at processing orders. Graham
  16. YES!!!!! Graham
  17. Nope, it's still there. I was editing it about an hour ago though. The link is in my signature. Graham
  18. I think it would be nearly impossible to convert the Wave 1/72 VF-1& resin battroid mode kit to fighter mode. I own the kit. The battroid proportions are way off for fighter mode. It would be far easier sculpting a fighter mode from scratch. Graham
  19. SV-51 Nora seems to be flawless so far. Amazing toy. Nice and tight too and I like em' tight! Graham
  20. Technically, Bandai has the ability to build fantastic Macross toys or model kits. Historically, they have never shown the willingness or desire to do so. Graham
  21. I really want Yamato to do the VF-25 (all color variations) with FAST Packs and VF-171 in 1/60 scale, as they would be beautiful toys. If Bandai gets the licence, then I'm sure they will do a half-assed job like they did with M7, or completely ignore the show like they did with M+. I have no faith in Bandai for Macross. Graham
  22. Any idea how to get that video to play? Do you have to be a member of that site? Graham
  23. There is a reason the feet are where they are. Can't say more for now. Graham
  24. Just updated the Macross Frontier page, with Sketchley's translation of the Dec Newtype article and the scan of the Shonen Ace ad. Graham
  25. To be honest, you can't go wrong with either and it should come down to which one you prefer the the look of the most. The first release of the YF-19 (without Fold Booster) and the Ivanov SV-51 have a couple of very minor issues ( wonky gunpod for YF-19 & lose wing hinges for SV-51), but these shouldn't be deal breakers. The Nora SV-51 and YF-19 with Fold Booster set are great toys, with nary a flaw to be found IMO. Graham
