  1. While not directly related to the Director's cut of episode 1, I just want to say Merry Christmas to everybody and also isn't technology great. I should be used to it by now, but it still blows my mind that within a few hours of it showing on a Japanese TV channel, we can have a raw download avialable online and then within 24 hours have an English subbed version also. Sorry, several wines and beers in me right now. Also, nice to see Nanashino back posting. I thought you had lost interest in Macross buddy. It would have been nice to see you involved in the Macross Frontier discussions takling place these last 2-3 months. Graham
  2. 1) While not confirmed., my usually reliable sources told me 26. 2) April 2008. Graham
  3. Eh, you want to buy Egan Loo? Who's selling him & how much? Graham
  4. I wonder who the heck is the 1 person so far who voted boring? How any Macross fan could find that pilot episode boring is completely beyond me. Maybe I'm just too much of a rabid Macross fan, but ater 20+ years of watching anime and getting pretty jaded with it in recent years, this has got me interested like no other show.....ever. If they carry on with the standard of the first episode, it's gonna be the best mecha anime show ever, heck maybe even the best Macross show ever. Graham
  5. Well, in the original series FPs and GBPs where brand new tech just being introduced put into production in limited numbers. Graham
  6. I use VLC, prefer it to WMP. Graham
  7. Of course the heatshield on the new 1/60 VF-1 is perfect transformation. You don't seriously expect they would take a step back and make it removable do you? Graham
  8. My connection has been fine all day luckily. It only took me 20 minutes this morning to download it. Heh, maybe mass download of the Macross Frontier ep is causing ISPs across Asia to crash......LOL! Graham
  9. Ah, but they are not real, just a Graham
  10. To be honest, I don't know. Graham
  11. How come so slow Kensei? Being that you Aussies are upside down anyway, shouldn't the force of gravity work in your favour and help the download trickle into your computer faster? Or doesn't it work like that? Sorry, too much Christmas Cheer (AKA alcohol) in me already....hic! Graham
  12. Wow, a trailer for the second episode already! What a great Christmas! Graham
  13. While it's great we get to see this "DeCulture" directors cut of the first episode, I hope it doesn't hurt the ratings of episode 1 when it finally shows in April. As most fans will have probably watched the directors cut many times before now and April, they may not bother tuning in for the first ep when it shows and just wait for the second ep. Graham
  14. Heh, note the trim color on the shoulder pads of the students flying suits. Graham
  15. I rarely use any sort of profanity, but OMFG! That was absolutely amazing! Can't wait to see more. Graham
  16. Just started watching the ep, so more comments later. However, based on that 2ch pic posted earlier, I'm absolutely loving the look of the VF-171s and the Ozama's grey armoured VF-25. I so want Yamato 1/60 scale toys of thse. So it definitely looks like there are two separate forces, the NUNS (New UN Spacy?) and SMS. NUNS is a somewhat unfortunate choice of acronym IMO. "Nuns in space' anyone Heh Heh. Well, as the Ivanov SV-51 was often referred to as the "Space Pop" by members here, I guess we can have space Nuns as well. Grahams
  17. The 1/100 VF-19Kai is an mostly snap fit kit from 1995. It is molded in red, grey and yellow plastic. It can be built unpainted, but of course looks better painted. The other reissue kits are all 24 or 25 year old designs and definitely require glue and paint to look good. Graham
  18. Yes, they are coming out, but they are just reissues of old model kits. Graham
  19. How are you getting SMS run the whole fleet just from Kresphy's & Sketchley's short translation? All I get from it is that SMS have a battleship called 'Macross 25'. Being either a civil defence force or paramilitary force, it's pretty obvious that they would have some sort of battleship. Graham
  20. I think you may be right about the new pic showing the legs beginning to move down at the start of the transformation sequence. If you look just past the intake on the new fighter mode pic, you can see a black triangle, not on other pics, which seems to indicate a leg hinge at that point. On the battroid mode pic the black triangle is not there, only a panel line. Graham
