  1. Notice that because the VF-171's nose is longer, it has to fold in battroid mode. Graham
  2. Link to full review: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/Y...-21_review.html New YF-21 pics from the new March 2008 issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine. Note the rotating pilot seat an aslo the ability to attach the gunpods either directly to the fighter's belly plates or to the FAST Packs. I'll do a better scan when I get home tonight. Graham
  3. New pics from the March issues of Hobby Japan Magazine and Dengeki Hobby Magazine. FAST Packs!!!!!!!! Graham
  4. Quick scans done on the office scanner from the new March issues of Hobby Japan Magazine and Dengeki Hobby Magazine. I'll do some better scans when I get home tonight. I can't say how excited I am that we are going to be seeing both the VB-6 Konig Monster and these modified Q-Raus in Frontier. I love the shark mouth on the Konig Monster. Still no news on Frontier toys and models though. Graham
  5. If you'd have asked me, I'd never thought the Kaiyodo Revoltech VF-1 toys would sell, but MWers seemed generally to love them. Graham
  6. If I understand correctly, there has been some resulpting of the toys since those pictures. The ones I've seen certainly weren't that chunky. I was pretty happy with what I saw. Graham
  7. I'll pick up the new Hobby Japan and Dengeki Hobby today during my lunch break (in about 3.5 hours time) and try to get them scanned in after lunch). Graham
  8. Kresphy, I think they are official wallpaper by MBS, not fan works. Graham
  9. Beacuse the new 2 seaters are not out yet. I'll get rid of the old ones when the new ones come out. Graham
  10. Got rid of my old 1/60s years ago, except for the two seaters. Graham
  11. Found this on a financial website. Quite funny I thought. Following the problems in the sub-prime lending market in America and the run on Northern Rock in the UK, uncertainty has now hit Japan. In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches. Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived. While Samurai Bank are soldiering on following sharp cutbacks, Ninja Bank are reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black. Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal. There is also concern over the fate of Kimono Bank which, it is believed, has been hung out to dry, whilst Ming Bank fear this to be the end of a dynasty. However; and on a positive note Rickshaw Bank, say they have put wheels in motion to prevent the situation completely running away with them.
  12. That purple mecha was discussed before. I think it's either something that hasn't shown up yet in the anime, or an early unused draft for the VF-25 that Kawamori discarded. I don't think the purple mech is shown in that screen shot. I thing that's just a standard VF-25 super. Graham
  13. Sigh..........................we go through this with every single new toy. That's a preproduction hand painted sample. They don't do tampo printing on hand painted preproduction samples. The production version will of course have tampo printing. And yes it will come with a pilot. The pilot sculpt was not ready and/or not approved when these pics were taken. And in reply to post #704, NO THE BLOODY LEGS ARE NOT DETACHABLE! next person to ask if they are detachable or removeable gets an instant 1 week ban! What part of perfect transformation to you people not understand, huh? Graham (who is off the happy pills today)
  14. I would guess so. That's the only reason I can think of. Graham
  15. Not so much they shortened the nose, rather it uses VF-0 type transformation so that the nose doesn't hang down past the knees in battroid mode. Graham
  16. The story is like this. Early last year IIRC, I told Yamato about Luke’s SV-51 and sent them some pics and links to the videos as they are always interested to see cool new Macross stuff. Yamato showed the pics and videos to Kawamori-san. He liked what he saw and asked for some better quality videos. I got in touch with Luke, and told him the situation and asked if he could supply some higher resolution video footage. Luke was gracious enough to help out and the video was soon on the way to Yamato, who passed it on to Kawamori-san. Fast forward to late November or early December last year and Yamato rang me up and asked if I could get permission from Luke to show his RC SV-51 video footage on the 25th anniversary show. Luke agreed and the rest is history. However, from what I understand the RC SV-51 footage was cut from the broadcast in some areas due to time constraints. I was told the RC-51 footage aired in Osaka, but not in Tokyo. Graham
  17. You may want to change the text I have highlighted. All we know for sure is that it's integrated into the VF-25. We have no idea is it integrated into any other fighters. Graham
  18. Very nice. Much better than the one I had done. Graham
  19. I find it strange that a "J" designation would be used for the VF-25, given what the Macross Compendium says about the "J" designation on the VF-1: - Which basically means the "J" means built in Japan. Hard to believe any of the VF-25 in the Frontier fleet were licenced built in Japan. Graham
  20. And a scan of the 1 page Macross Frontier article from the February 2008 issue of Animage. Graham
  21. And some close-ups of the VF-25 pics from the February Newtype. Graham
  22. Here's some larger scans of the 4 page Macross Frontier article from the February 2008 issue of Newtype magazine. Graham
  23. No, I see absolutely no need to remake the original series at all. What's with this constant need that some people (and Hollywood) have to constantly remake classics? Let's have some originality guys! Macross Frontier excites me far more than a remake of the original series ever could. Warts and all, the original is a classic that does not need to be remade IMO. Graham
  24. Anybody seen it yet? Comments? Good/bad? It started showing here in Hong Kong yesterday (January 17th), but I haven't had time to go see it yet. Graham
  25. Don't know. I lost touch with Rik maybe 4-5 years ago . Graham
