  1. I really wanna see how it works, cus' from that photo, the hinge looks like it's placed right where the fin needs to come out of. And I've said it before, but I so want to see close ups of that kawamori olineart that's behind the model. Graham
  2. Given the surprisingly low ratings for episode 7, I'm wondering if something like what happened with Macross Plus is happening here, in that for some reason Frontier appeals more to overseas fans than it does to Japanese? Graham
  3. Ya' know I'm wondering if Brera is even physically in the cockpit of the VF-27. Perhaps he's actually somewhere else controlling it cybernetically or mentally by some sort of remote control system. I just thought this, cus' the place we see him floating looks a little too big to be a typical VF cockpit. Graham
  4. I've had that since Wonder Fest, I really should get around to scanning it. And guys, when you actually see the 1/60 VF-1 with your own eyes and hold it in your hands, the nose cone doesn't seem stubby at all. IMO, it's really well proportioned in all three modes. Battroid especially is a huge improvement over the 1/60. Graham
  5. Yeah, but the interesting thing is that in that Battroid mode pic, the top of the fin is sticking out to the rear. However, in fighter mode, the fin is actually on the front of the leg, same as the VF-1. Graham
  6. See the attached pics for what I think are the probable micro-missile launcher ports in the Super Packs. Note, 3 ports per pack. Graham
  7. Alto's VF-25 with Super Packs is shown firing micro missiles in the opening animation. The wing mounted Super packs appear to have two micro-missiles ports on the outer sides of the pack (near the front) and one micro-missile port on the top of the pack. Graham
  8. Been looking at the photos to try to figure out where the leg fins go in battroid mode. I looks like the partially slide into the lower leg, with the end of the fins still exposed. Graham
  9. Yes it says the 1/72 VF-25 model is fully transformable. The price is posted on the sign as 4,200 yen. No, there has been no announcement from Bandai that they are making non-transforming Frontier kits. Graham
  10. Anybody want to take a shot at translating the SMS theme - 'That Girl's an Alien' into English? I really like this song and would love to know what they are singing. Graham
  11. Or likely at Tokyo Toy Show, which I think is coming soon. Graham
  12. Yeah, I agree, they don't really look like beams, but they do seem to be firing from the wing rots IMO. Graham
  13. I'm going by these screen shots, which seem to show two separate streams of fire, from the left and right side of the plane and also muzzle flash from what looks like the wing root area. Graham
  14. Read all the spoliers about the Macross Quarter movinga around like a Valk, before finally getting to watch the episode on Saturday. When I actually watched it, I really didn't think it was as agile as people were saying. From all the comments, I thought we'd be seeing loop the loops, cartwheels and spinning kicks. No great suspension of disbelief needed on my part for what we saw it doing. It accelerated fast and weaved a bit, that's all. I guess all the crew have some sort of restraint system, like the bridge crew, to stoop them getting squished, especially the hanger crew. Graham
  15. Wing root guns marked in red on the attached picture. In Battroid mode, they are on the hips. Graham
  16. I don't think it's all recycled footage. While I haven't compared eps 1 & 7 side by side, I think there is some new fooootage in there not previously shown. Graham
  17. Yah, let's burn them Gundam 00 fanboys (lights torch and gets out pitchfork)! Graham
  18. The beam guns are on the hips in battroid and in the wing roots in fighter mode. They ar not the mid-wing protrusions. Yes, you can distiguish between them and the gunpod fire, if you watch in slow motion. Graham
  19. I really wanna know who the 5 people who voted negative are. OK, I can just about understand a negative vote for episode 6, but certainly not for episode 7. My mind just can't grasp how any Macross fan cannot think that that was a kick-ass episode. Heh, I bet the haters are Robotekkies, disappointed that Admiral Lick Hunter hasn't showed up yet. Graham
  20. The last release, the SV-51 was pretty much flawless. The YF-19 only had very minor issues. The new 1/60 VF-1 looks to be flawless (trust me on this). As far as I'm concerned, the only Yamato Macross toys with major issues have been the arms on the VF-0 (since fixed) and the hip joints on the VF-11B (fixed on the Fast pack release). Graham
  21. I didn’t get the feeling that the Vajra were any less deadly in episode 7, just that SMS used better tactics and equipment. As far back as episode 1, it’s been show that the small yellow Vajra are vulnerable to VF-25 gunpod fire. It’s only the larger red guys that seem relatively invulnerable to gunpod fire and micro-missiles. We’ve already seen from episodes 2 and 3 that Michael’s sniper rifle is powerful enough to penetrate a Red Vajra’s energy-conversion armour with ease. In episode 7, we see the small yellow Vajra taken out by gunpod fire from Alto & Ozma and mass micro missiles from Ozma, which is consistent. We see red Vajra taken out by Michael’s sniper rifle, again consistent. We also see multiple Vajra destroyed by the fire from the Konig Monster, which is not surprising given the power of the VB-6's weapons. The red Vajra’s energy-conversion armor is tough, but not invulnerable. The yellow Vajra, while fast and deadly are not nearly so tough. Graham
  22. Love the pic of Ranka wearing Minmay's DYRY dress and also the one of Sheyrl wearing Ranka's purple hippo-cow pajamas. I'm not a huge fan of Klan as I don't normally like overly busty girls, but the pics with Mikhail stuck between her breasts are great. Anyway, it's nice to see so much fan art. Graham
