  1. Thanks David, that's clearer now. Will look into this. Graham
  2. From the next episode spoilers that Kresphy posted about it sounds like the chance for I hope not, he's my favorite character. Graham
  3. OK, I'm reading the posts about broken shoulders, looking at the pics in the other thread and comparing with my VF-1S and VF-1A and I still can't figure out exactly which part you guys are saying is breaking. From Shin's post above, I'm guessing he means the 180 degree swivel joint that connects the arm to the back plate, but when you guys start talking about broken outer edges, I'm lost. And the extremeley blurry pic in the other thread showing a broken part doesn't help at all. I've no idea what it's showing, it's too out of focus. Any chance of some nice clear pics, with the part outlined in red, or with at least an arrow pointing to it. Graham
  4. Looking at the above pics and reading the explanations and comparing with my VF-1 and I still can't figure out which bit has broken off. Graham
  5. Just curious, what's wrong with the shoulder hinge? Doesn't seem like a weak design to me. Graham
  6. Yeah, I bought him the Philippine Voltes V VCD set, which is dubbed in English last Christmas. He loves old super robot shows, like Mazinger, Great Mazinger and Combattler V. Graham
  7. You would also need to add the decals, as most of the red and black markings are supplied as water-slide decals. But, yeah, it should look OK with the steps you list. That's exactly what I plan to do as well, as I am far, far from being a modeller and can't paint to save my life. Graham
  8. Don't think so. The damage was only in a wing or fin tip, so shouldn't be critical. The damage to Alto's VF-171EX looked far more serious. Ozma rocks in this episode. Graham
  9. My 4 year old will love that. He's a huge Voltes V fan. Guess I know what to buy him for Christmas if it's out in time. Graham
  10. Could never really get into Krull. A member who rarely posts here these days was (still is?) a big Krull fan and has IIRC even has an original movie prop Glaive. For me, Space Hunter is what it's all about - love that movie. Graham
  11. I heard Snake Plissken was dead. Graham
  12. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the release date gets pushed back to December or January. All we have seen so far is resin mock ups, not actual test shots, which makes me think that they haven't made the tooling yet. Graham
  13. The official Frontier site blog has an update on the 1/72 VF-25F Alto. Looks like the release date is mid-September. Here's the Goggle translation: - And the original Japanese text: - There's also some new pics on the blog. Graham
  14. The VF-25 is roughly the same size as the VF-0 or YF-19. Graham
  15. VF-171 out of the ones on the list. A VF-22SS w/SAP would be top. Never really been a huge fan of the VF-4. POerhaps if we ever actually got to see it in action, I'd change my mind. Graham
  16. Most looking forward to VF-171 and VF-2SS w/SAP. Of course a decent VF-17 would be great as well. Graham
  17. Err.........I take it you have not watched Frontier at all, or been following the many Frontier discussion threads for the past 6 months? Basically, the VF-25 is used by 'SMS' (Strategic Millitary Services), a private millitary contractor, not by the UN Spacy, hence the lack of UN markings But in Frontier the UN Spacy has become 'NUNS' (New UN Spacy) and they also use a new logo, instead of the traditional kite symbol. Graham
  18. I've put the first 3 issues in the binder, but I've decided I'm probably gonna stop putting them in the binder until all 50(?) issues have been published. The various sheets are being published in such a random order that putting them in the folder at such an early date is pretty pointless IMO, as I'll only have to remove them later arnd reorganize them each time one binder fills up and a new one starts. Graham
  19. Preview pics are up on the official site for ep # 22. Graham
  20. Why doesn't yours transform? Graham
  21. Haven't seen these for sale anywhere here in HK yet. Either they sold out really quickly, or none of the toy shops bothered stocking them. Wouldn't surprise me if it's the latter, as apart from the Max and Millia, the rest of the 2002 reissues didn't sell well and sat around collecting dust on shelves. Graham
  22. I'm sure the final production version will have a clear canopy. Don't panic. Graham
  23. I may be wrong but, but I seem to recall that somebody did a partial translation of one of the magazine articles (either Great Mechanics DX, Newtype or Hobby Japan), that mentioned: - The VF-25 with Armored Pack is just as fast as a plain VF-25, but slower than a VF-25 with Super Pack. The VF-25 with Armoured Pack can transform into all 3 modes, unlike the older VF-1 with GBP. The VF-25 with Armored Pack is capable of atmospheric flight. The VF-25 with Super Pack is proimarily for Space use. Maybe I'm remebering wrongly though. Graham
  24. The main material is ABS plastic. However, there are various grades and types of ABS plastic. Presumably some have some sort of aditive to prevent or reduce the chance of yellowing. The 1/60 is too new and has not been out long enough to tell if the plastic will yellow or not. All I can say is that none of my Yamato 1/48 toys have yellowed at all. Graham
  25. Diamond Calling was always my favorite track. Graham
