IMO the Revoltechs definitely have a slight edge in articulation over the GN-Us (except for hip articulation), but not as big an edge as Revoltech fans would have you believe. The main advantage of the Revoltechs is their ability to take advantage of their articulation through use of their display stand. If the GN-Us came with a similar display stand, I think you would find that they can easily create most (if not all) of the dynamic action poses that the Revoltechs can do. The Revoltechs are very good toys for they price. My main issue with them, especially for the Macross Plus Revys is what I consider to be a pretty sucky looking sculpt and cheap looking PVC construction. I think more so that the Revy VF-1, the actual Mac Plu production Revys definitely look much worse than the preproduction photos. Graham

Anybody know from the article if this game is multi-player? Also, is the PSP capable of multi-player games? Sorry, I know next to nothing about PSPs. If yes, how does the PSP handle multi-player games, wireless, infra-red, bluetooth, plug-in connection cables? Sorry, I'm really clueless about handheld systems. Graham

Not necessarily. With Macross games, pretty graphics alone does not always a good game make. All the pics of Macross M3 in the game magazines made it look great, but game play and control sucked. Still, graphically, this is looking pretty nice and the range of VFs is great. Graham

Presumably the reverse is true and Japanese or Asian PSPs will play US games without modification? Graham

I gave Yamato the following feedback, based on comments in this thread on the Macross Plus GN-U figures: - Overall the sculpts are good (better than Revoltech). The VF-11B's gunpod and hands are far too big (out of scale with the robot). The material used is very high quality. Paint application is good. Many complaints about lack of accessories (FAST Packs and a display stand). Revoltech include these at a cheaper price point. Articulation is very good, better than expected. However, without a display stand it is not possible to take full advantage of the articulation. Price point is a little on the high side. Packing design is nice, but the box is still a little oversize. They replied, that yeah, Japanese consumers have been giving exactly the same feedback. Graham

Hope we get a VF-17, VF-22 Max and VF-171. I'm guessing we'll get at least the first 2, as Gamlin and M7 era Max are shown in the article. After thinking about it, I'm sorta glad it's coming on the PSP. Buying a PSP will certainly be far cheaper than having to buy a new PS3 or X-Box360. Excuse my extreme ignorance on the subject, but is there any way to convert PSP games to play on a PS2? Graham

IMO the Revy YF-19 face has a really squashed look to it. If posed just right on the stands, the Revy's can look OK, but in standing pooses next to the GN-U's they just looked deformed IMO. Graham
