  1. Regardless of whether you plan to watch the movie, read the book......now!
  2. Good point. If it's not time limited, the effectiveness of the VF-25 is even better. Also, to add Gubbaba's translation from the Macross Chronicles VF-25S page into the discussion: - Graham
  3. Start one then, or better yet start a technology thread for each series. Graham
  4. Been wondering about the reset time (if there is one), for the ICS pilot G-protection maximimm of 120 seconds at 27.5G time limit. Let's say the pilot does fly for 120 seconds at max G, I'd really love to know how long before the pilot can utilise the ICS again? Perhaps it's also a 120 seconds reset time or maybe longer. Or maybe the G force is converted into energy stored in capacitors, which has to be used (for things such as pin point barrier, transformation etc.), before the ICS kicks in again? Also, if pulling lower Gs, say 15G for example I guess the ICS may provide longer protection. Graham
  5. Why are we talking about Plus in a Frontier thread? Graham
  6. I'm guessing you are quite young, in your 20's? I think you have to have grown up in the 70's or 80's or be a collector of vintage Japanese mecha toys to really appreciate styrofoam packed toys. Graham
  7. The Tamshii Robot Spirits VF-25F i toy is supposed to be non-transforming Battroid mode only IIRC. Grahan
  8. Haven't seen it anywhere yet! Graham
  9. No they are the first release in the VF100s line. Graham
  10. Looks good in the pics. But no pilot figure!!!!!!!!!!! Graham
  11. Heh, I have zero understanding of anything financial, even trying to read Jenius's "simple" explanation in the post above, my brain zones out and goes all Homer Simpson on me after reading the first sentence. Hmm........donuts! As for D Unit's post (several post's above), trying to understand it nearly made my brain melt down. To me a hedge fund is where you hide your money in the garden hedge, instead of under the matress! Graham (the financial idiot)
  12. Yeah, it was announced a few months ago that the RVF-25 and VF-25G would have coupons for the accessory sets. Didn't know about the price difference through. Graham
  13. Moved to the model forum, as these are garage kits, not toys. Graham
  14. Wrong thread, we alraedy have a thread for the SDF-1
  15. Just wondering how everyone is planning on displaying their DX toys? For me, it will probably be like this: - RVF-25 - Fighter mode all the time on display stand, without Super Packs. Looks better without the Super Packs IMO. VF-25G - In Battroid mode all the time, in aiming pose, probably with Super Packs. VF-25F - Will probably switch display periodically between Battroid and Fighter modes, most likely with Super packs. VF-25S - Will probably display this without the super Packs (waiting for the Armored Pack) and will switch between Fighter and Gerwalk modes. Graham
  16. Be sure to post as soon as anybody gets a shipping note from HLJ or other suppliers. Graham
  17. I'm the oppoosite, never really liked the the VF-1D head, but like seeing the two seat cockpit, so mine will be staying in either Fighter or Gerwalk mode. Graham
  18. Yes, regular fold boosters look different from the super ones. Alto uses a regular booster when he escorts Sheryl to Galia IV. Michael user a super to get to Galia IV. Watch the eps to see the difference.

  20. Not really a Mazinger fan, but my 4 1/2 year old is a big fan of the original Mazinger / Great Mazinger TV series. He'll be excited by a new cartoon, especially if it gets dubbed into English. Graham
  21. As soon as somebody gets the VF-25F with Super pack can you please post a large hi-res scan of the spec section of the manual, so our trusty translators can get working on translating the super Pack specs. Thanks in advance, Graham
  22. Interesting letter from an Australian MP (Member of Parliament), regarding the US's refusal to sell the F-22 to trusted allies and the possible cancellation of the F-22 by the Obama administration (which I hadn't heard about). Graham
  23. Graham

    Yamato stands

Plan to buy lots. Price is OK and the footprint is smaller than the regular Yamato stand. Important to me as display space is limited. Graham
  24. Touch wood my job is OK. I sell law enforcement equipment to various government agencies here in Asia and if anything crime and the demand for the stuff I sell is likely to increase in the present financial crisis. Likewise my wife is a civil servant, so her job is (touch wood) secure. Still, just to be prudent, I'm trying to save more and cutting down my collecting by just buying one of each item I want, rather than multiples like I would buy in the past. I'm also cutting out buying non-canon repaints. Too expensive and no space to display them anyway. I'm also confining my purchases to Macross only, no other franchises at all. Graham
  25. Nice fan design, but really "Vespa"!? Not sure naming a VF after an Italian motor scooter is such a good choice. Graham
