  1. I plan to. Big Maiden fan, but more of there early-to-mid-career stuff. Their last album left me cold. Graham
  2. I actually watched that twice back in the day on VHS or LD......I forget. Anyway, I actually quite liked it and wouldn't mind seeing it again. Just some gun trivia as I always pay attention to who uses what in movies, IIRC, Dolph used a H&K P9S, which is quite a cool pistol and very rare to see on film and the 'Alien' pistol was actually a Calico 9mm, with a huge muzzle flash. Graham
  3. I think it's only 4-5 broken shoulder screws reported so far, so not a huge number. Graham
  4. Local cinema has a poster up for this, so I guess it's coming soon. Graham
  5. So who's getting the Yamato 1/24, when it comes out at the end of this month? Graham
  6. As long as you can get the remains of the screw out with a pair of pliers, it's pretty easy to find a suitable size replacement screw. Still, it sucks that it should happen in the first place. Graham
  7. As nice as these are, they are not toys. My first build Alto is now in peices from too much transformation. Graham
  8. Is there space in the box for the movie disc?
  9. But in fighter mode, the chest plate still rides higher than the cockpit. The main reason why I can no longer acept this old kit. Graham
  10. Gotta say the TV VF-1A head looks much better in person than in the photos. Despite not really liking the Max & Kakizaki TV 1A schemes, I gotta say in battroid mode the Max 1A looks really nice in 1/60. Still think fighter mode is meh though (too bland). Graham
  11. [rant mode] I really wish fansubbers would not use MKV so much. What's wrong with good old AVI? It plays on everything! Don't they realise that not everyone wants to watch fansubs just on their computer. Most of the time I like to watch anime on my TV and MKV format is just not playable on a normal DVD player. And yes, I'm sure there is some procedure for converting MKV to AVI or other DVD playable format, but last time I checked, it was pretty damn complicated to do (way past my ability).[/rant mode] Graham
  12. Caught a trailer for this movie on TV last night. Looked dire. No plans to see the movie. Graham
  13. I second that Flash Gordon is an awesome movie. Anyone who disagrees is due a session with the bore-worms. Graham
  14. Bad Taste is a classic. Peter Jackson's best work IMO. It's one of the first titles in my DVD collection. So funny IOMO! Mmm.........chunky bits! Or put it this way, I'd rather watch Bad Taste anyday than LotR, which I really struggled to like, despite being a fan of the book since an early age. Graham

    yamato's next move

I said no such thing. Read my posts carefully. I never said a VF-0D is confirmed, just that it is on the shortlist of possible choices to be made. Graham
  16. Cool, I like that darker blue used for the VF-25G and so good that there is clearance for the sniper rifle in fighter mode with landing gear down. Graham
  17. Yes, Bandai are usually pretty good with release dates and tend to announce wellin advance if a delay is expected. Graham
  18. Why would it? It's not me who leaked the pics, it's whoever leaked them to that Singapore online store. Heck, I didn't even have the pics. I didn't even see them until I logged onto MW this morning. For once you guys all saw them before me. Graham
  19. I find myself strangely looking forward to the VF-19kai more and more with each passing day. I've also decided, perhaps against my better judgement to buy one of the VF-25S Ozma when it is released. Graham
  20. Will be getting one next Monday. My son is already looking forward to getting my old 1/72, when I get the new 1/60. He keeps asking me when. Graham
  21. Got mine at home now. One of each, store bought, not samples. Graham
  22. My theory is that there just weren't enough of the Wing Boosters produced in time. I'm sure when production catches up with demand, the cannonn fodder uys would have got them as well. I'd still love Bandai to make a Cannon fodder DX, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Anyway, in at least 2 other episodes, I'm sure we do see cannon fodder VF-25 with wing boosters. Graham
  23. OK, spoke with Yamato today. Confirmed the VF-22 is the Dynamite 7 Gamlin version. However, the pics weren't supposed to be released until this coming Friday, so somebody leaked them early. Also, the two YF-19 variations are not confirmed yet and may not be the final versions and have not been approved by BW yet. No photos of those should have been released and they certainly should not be offered for sale yet! The orange and white one will probably be offered for sale if approved, but after talking with Yamato today, the white, blue and red one may not and they may go with another variant. I did inform them that there is demand for a VF_X Ravens VF-19A and also a Focker version VF-19A. Graham
  24. While the VF-25F Alto DX and VF-25S Ozma DX where mostly only sold in specialist Japanese toy and hobby shops here in Hong Kong, I find it extremely interesting and heartening that the VF-25G Michael DX and RVF-25 Luca DX are being widely sold in many normal toy shops all throughout Hong Kong. I've had several surprises over the last few weeks, walking in to toy shops and toy/stationery shops even in remote parts of HK, where I would normally never expect to find any Macross toys, to find that they are stocking the two newer DX. It's just so nice to be able to walk into normal toy stores and find Macross toys on the shelves. Ah, reminds me of the mid-80s' again. Graham
