That's a matter of indidual opinion and personal taste. Personally, I prefer the GNUs. IMO, the Revys being made of PVC look cheap and the joints are actually the major turn off for me as they are visually unappealing. I think the GNU has about 70-80% of the articulation of a Revy, but is made of much better materials and looks much nicer. Again, just personal taste. I bought both the Revys and GNUs when they came out, but the Revys have all since been consigned to the trash, where as the GNUs are still in my display cabinet. Graham

You mean the head lasers on the VF-25F, VF-25S and VF-25G (laser, singular)? Or the antenna on the RVF-25? Graham

You guys can talk all you want about how "uber-awesome" or whatever a 1/2000 scale SDF-1 would be, but realistically how many of you are going to fork over US$550 plus shipping for this? Yes, I know back in the bad old dark days of the mid-to-late 90s' many of us (myself included), didn't bat an eyelid at handing over a grand for a mint or near mint 1/55 Strike Valk, VE-1 or VT-1. But in these tougher economic times, especially as many of us have mortgages, kids education fees and a dozen other damn expenses to pay off, how many of you will really get this, or even be able to justify getting this to your spouse. Heh, haven't played MAF for ages. Completed the Macross Plus, Macross 7 and Macross Frontier stages, getting S on most and SS on some. Still a few without S though. I just never got started on the SDF Macross stages. For some reason, I just have no mood to fly the VF-1. Graham

I like the 1st and 3rd pic. I really love the look of the Armored in fighter mode. Actually, I like it in all 3 modes, but fighter is my favorite. In the 2nd pic, showing the side of the lower leg, what's all that stuff hanging out of the back? Is it the attachment points for connecting the fighter mode to the display stand? Graham

I will pass on the Sheryl doll. It's taken long enough for my family to accept my VF collecting. If I satrting collecting girlie dolls, they would probably disown me. Graham

IMO, 65cm long which is the size of the 1/2000 prototype in cruiser mode is just too damn big and not practical for display. I'd much rather the toy be 40cm to 45cm long maximum and sell for not more than US$300. US$250, would of course be even better. Honestly at 65cm long and US$500+ Yamato are really limiting their own sales. Graham

Yes!!!!!!!!! Now let's hope we get the Super & Armoured Packs for the VF-25 this time and the Frontier missions from the second half of the Macross Frontier anime, as the first PSP game only featured Frontier missions up to about half way through the anime. Glad this is coming out on the PSP, as I rarely have time for console games these days, but can still play handhelds when travelling to and from work. Any news on release date. Graham

I'm pretty neutral about Flashback 2012. I neither like it nor dislike it. To be honest, it's just a music video using mostly recyled footage. The new footage showing the VF-4, Megaroad and post-SW1 Minmay, Hikaru & Misa is awesome, but it's too damn short. Rather than a music video, if BW had expanded the new footage to a minimum 30 miniutes OVA, chronicling the events after SW-1 leading up to the launch of the Megaroad, I would have been much more impressed. IF they release an Ozma, I'd probably display him just in his flight suit, holding his helmet in his hand (if the face sculpt is good), not wearing the Ex-Gear, as I think we only see Ozma using Ex-Gear once in the series. Graham

SDF-1. However, there is some internal discussion going on at the moment, as to whether to keep it at 1/2000 or make it a bit smaller and thus more affordable and easier for people to display. Personally, I'm on the side that says make it smaller. I think 1/3000 or 1/3500 would be fine. Graham

Well, if I can read it the wrong way, others might. Usually, I just skim through posts, as there’s a lot to read everyday and only really read something carefully if it’s of interest to me. When I read this review yesterday, I skimmed through the first 2 paragraphs, saw the “BBOP” and assumed (wrongly), it was a review of the new Yamato BOP. I then looked online to see if the toy was out already and also went out to physically check some retail shops for it, as I was surprised it was out already (which it is not). When I reread the review today, I finally realized it was not about the new BOP. Anyway, as a rule of thumb, it’s probably not such a good idea to post a review of an existing older product which has been out a while already in a thread about upcoming new repaints and give the older product a made up acronym, which is almost identical (only 1 letter different), to the upcoming new product. Also, IMO, comparing a product which is not even released yet to an older product is perhaps not really fair on the upcoming product as we have been promised improvements, specifically tighter joints and as yet, we have no idea how much of an improvement these are going to be. Also, I should slow down a bit when I read. Graham

OK, how many of you got confused/fooled by thinking this was a Bird of Prey (BOP) review? On first reading I thought the reviewer was reviewing the new Yamato YF-19 Bird of Prey (BOP) paint varient! I admit it's my fault for not reading the initial paragraphs closely enough, especially the authors use of the BBOP acroynym, I thought he was reviewing the Bird of Prey. Hopefully, you all read a lot more carefully than me, but I'm going to edit the reviewers post to indicate that it is not a Bird of Prey (BOP) review. Graham

I'm 98% certain that the holes number 3 & 4 are only for attaching the Super Fold Booster and will not be used to attached any part of the Armored Pack. If you look at the Armoured Pack, you can see there is no part of it that extends forward where holes 3 & 4 are. Graham

Ya' know what, I'm glad the live action Akira is cancelled. I hope the live action Ghost in the Shell, Coyboy Bebop and Robotech get canned too. As I've said many times, the animes are classics and excellent in their own right. I just don't see any way that a live action version could possibly improve on them. In all likelyhood, live action versions would be inferior in every aspect to the original anime source material. I would far prefer that Hollywood actually try to think of some original ideas, rather than the endless cycle of remakes, reboots and sequels that we seem to be stuck in now. Graham

Saw the Armoured Ozma through the window of the Animate shop in Sino Center on Saturday, but as it was only noon, the shop wasn't oopen yet, so I couldn't go in and check the price. Graham
