After unlocking the tune limiter, how many of you are taking the time to max out every stat on every single mecha? I'm still deciding if I will do that or not. So far I've completely maxed out the VF-25S, VF-25F, Konig Monster and TV version SDF-1. I'll probably max out at least the VF-171EX Alto, VF-22 Max, Ghost X9, VF-2SS and green VF-27, if not a few others as well. Graham

Guys, Yamato is considering releasing some ‘detail-up’ parts and/or accessory parts for the V2 1/60 VF-1. The detail-up parts would likely be released in two ways. (1) As stand-alone accessory parts that could (if practical) be retrofitted by yourself to your existing V2 VF-1 toys, or (2) already pre-installed on a new-release ‘detail-up’ version VF-1. Yamato thinks this is the best way to keep everybody happy. Owners of existing V2 VF-1 toys can upgrade them by just buying the new parts without having to buy an all new VF-1. If you don’t already own a certain VF-1 toy, you can buy the completed ‘detail-up’ version. So Yamato would like to know what detail-up parts or accessories you would like to see? Obvious ones that come to mind to me are: - 1. Added mechanical detail behind the visor. 2. Improved cockpit interior detail, i.e. more detailed ejector seat, instrument panel etc. 3. Better detailing on the pilot. 4. More Tampo printing (obviously, this one could not be released as an add-on accessory). 5. Battroid mode side covers. 6. More detailed hands. 7. Ground crew and weapons carts. 8. Standing pilot figures. 9. Modern day NATO bombs/missiles to attach to the VF-1 wings. 10. Those pilot seats that another company made to simulate the seat rising out of the head in battroid mode. 11. Gunpod with removable access panels and internal detail. At the moment, this is just in the early planning stage and is in no way confirmed yet. Please keep the discussion to a minimum and just list what detail-up parts, accessories or other improvements you would like to see for the V2 VF-1. Look forward to your comments. Graham

Was told it will be hitting shops here the end of this week. Graham -
I seldom if ever check this thread, due to the often long-winded nature of the posts. However, after receiving 4 'report this thread' PMs in short order, I decided to see what all the full was about. Thanks guys, I had to read through 10 pages of extremely long posts. I now officially have a migrane! Prior to catching up on the posts, I had no idea who or what a 'Bendo' was, or why members here seem to be so bothered by his views. "If ya' don't like what someone says, ignore them", has always been my motto. Graham

Gotta say the deign is slowly growing on me. Can't wait to see how manauverable it is in the movie with the swivelling boosters. The 360 degree rotating guns should be intersting to see as well. Graham

No signs of the VF-11C out here in either Mong Kok or Wanchai, so I'm calling shennnigans on an initial batch being already out. Graham

Both varients? I'm only seeing one type of armor pack for the VF-171EX, in Chonicles, in other source books and in the anime. Can you elaborate? Graham

On the first song on the Re.Fire album, is Fukuyama singing "Dinosaur" at the start of the chorus? Sure sounds like it to me. Graham

IMO, Alto's behavior never came across as emo to me. He aways seemed quite calm and level-headed. He didn't bitch and whine, or agonise about killing (like most Gundam pilots). He just got in his Valk and did the job, without fuss. Graham -
Heh, British humor site 'The Daily Mash' had a piece on Avatar that made me laugh out loud. Read it here: avatar-'greatest-ever-film-with-blue-pretend-cat-people' Graham

Yep, I frequently use the third weapon, although that is dependant on the mecha. Examples of great third weapons, especially when levelled up are the beam guns on the VF-25 Armoured Packs and the grenades or nukes or whatever they are on the Konig Monster. Also I level up everything. The way I play, is that rather than just zipping through all the missions, once I get a new mecha, I play that mecha exclusively usually just on 1-2 select missions (the Ex missions if available) and level up all the stats on the mecha. Ah, but Galactica was a "reimagining", not strictly a remake But just to clarify, I don't like remakes of movies. TV series are a whole different kettle of Mackerel. Graham

* Best Anime (film/TV series/OAV) - TV Series = Macross Frontier. OVA = Macross Zero. Film = * Worst Anime (film/TV series/OAV) - TV Series = Gundam 00. OVA = Votoms Pailsen Files, Movie = Steamboy. * Best/Worst Manga - Don't read Manga, so no comment. * Best SF (film/TV series) - Film = District 9 . TV Series = RDM's Battlestar Galactica. * Worst SF (film/TV series) - Film = Terminator Salvation. TV Series = Dr. Who (started good, but turned crap). * Best SF Literary (Book/Short story/Comic) - Best comic, without a doubt is '2000AD, the galaxy's geatest comic'. For books, GRRM's A Song of Ice & Fire series & an honorable mention goes to the first 2 books in Peter F. Hamilton's 'Void Trilogy'. Don't reacll any memorable short stories. * Most annoying trend in Anime - Whinny, angst-ridden heros. Thankfully, Frontier bucked that trend. * Most annoying trend in SF - overuse of CGI for spaceships. Bring back models. * Best comeback - Dunno. * Most disappointing comeback - Dunno. * Best Game of the decade - Macross Ultimate Frontier (of course)! * Most consistent game developer - Dunno, don't play that many games. * Best/Worst Game platform of the decade - * Which product do you really wish had not turned out to be vapourware? - * Most Unnecessary *Remake - All of them. Never seen a remake that is bette than the original. * Greatest addition to your toy/model/DVD collection - Toy = Yamato's 1/60 scale VF-11B. Perfection in toy form. DVD = Macross Frontier TV series. Models = don't buy models any more, but Bandai's 1/72 scale VF-25 models were damn good, so get my vote. * What is the piece of technology that you have now which was not available at the start of the decade that you cannot do without? - Err.......MP3 player. * Best Band/Album/Live performance - Live performance = Muse - Black Holes & Revelations tour. Album = Muse Black Holes & Revelations. Best band = Muse. * What do you think is going to be the most inaccurate SF prediction about life in 2010? - Err.......still no personal jetpacks, or cities on the moon! * Person of the decade (NO politicals) - My wife, for staying with me, despite all the crap and stupid stuff I do. * Where do you think you will be at the end of next decade? - Hopefully retired on a beach in Thailand, but I'll settle for still alive and in good health. * Complete the following sentence. "I will be much happier next decade if I get a BJ ever night." Graham

Nice, Looking forward to this. I also hope the Valk is white, not blue tinted. Hope we get a painted SMS stand too. Graham -
In a way I'm disappointed, as this is one of my favorite Valks in the Macross universe and I've been wanting a toy of it for 15 years. However, my wallet is heaving a sigh of relief, as the Yamato Valks have been coming too fast recently. Graham

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
Graham replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
That's beacuse it sounds like you bought the recently released "movie color" version, which has blue Super Parts and a blue tinted VF-25F. Fine if you like blue, but if not, you would have been better off buying the original (or reissue) standalone VF-25F Alto, which is white and tracking down the separate Alto Super Parts set (which are grey). I'll buy the official R2 DVD when it's released and of course download the fansub when available. But yeah, if it showed at the cinema here, I'd see it. -
Currently listening to the following albums: - Fire Bomber's 'Re.Fire'. Muse's 'The Resistance'. Sheryl Nome's 'Universal Bunny'. Graham

Not surprised, given that most of the VFs in the series come with Fast Packs, Armored Packs, Fold Boosters etc. Graham
