  1. Nice, but still no VF-171, VF-17 or VF-11.
  2. Apart from the color change, which I'm not too keen on, but can live with, me likee overall. Looks pretty damn big to me. Certainly big enough. With my limited storage and display space, I wouldn't want any bigger. Will definitely be kept in robot mode though. The Quarter's cruiser mode has always looked a bit of a mess to me. Graham
  3. Personally, I don't give a crap about extras (or lack of) on discs. I buy DVDs to watch the movie, not a bunch of other crap. Given the choice, I'll usually buy the disc with the fewest extras. I bought the Terminator Salvation DVD last week. Bought the cheapest single disc version. And yes, it was just as crap as I remeber it being at the movies. It's a sad day when I have to admit that I actually enjoyed Transformers Revenge of The Fallen more than Terminator Salvation and actually thought Transformers was the better of the two movies (although that's not saying much). Graham
  4. The chances of an official English release are almost zero, thanks to a little fly in the ointment that goes by the initials of HG. Graham
  5. Bah, today is already 1st December.............you're late! Graham
  6. I'd love to see the music folders labled with the existing song name and era, so that you have some idea what music you are replacing when you import your own MP3s. Graham
  7. Thanks, just backed up to PC now. Graham
  8. Damn, that sucks. Been meaning to ask, is it possible to save the saved game data to PC via USB cable, so that in the event of a corrupt or dead memory stick, I have a back up of my game data on PC? Would hate to lose my 102 hours worth of play. Graham
  9. I can accept the 6000 to 7000 Yen price and lack of landing gear for the VF-19Kai, as it's the only game in town really, if you want a nice looking, propotionate Fire Valkyrie toy. However, at the price-point a Bandai Hi-Metal VF-1 better have proper folding landing gear and a perfect transformation heatshield, or I ain't biting, not when the market is already flooded with so many other great VF-1 toys. I do feel making the VF-1 so soon in the Hi-Metal line is a mistake by Bandai perhaps releasing other previously unreleased VFs first such as the VF-4, VF-2SS, VF-171 etc may have been a wiser move. Graham
  10. The size comparison with the VF-1J is interesting though. I expected the Mac II Destroids to be bigger, well except the Monster.
  11. Agreed, picked it up yesterday and listened to it t 5 times all the way through so far. Graham
  12. The issue # 36, technology sheet on VF defensive systems looks very interesting. Seems to be lots of information on armor, SWAG energy converting armor and pin point barriers. Hope somebody can translate soon. Graham
  13. Yep, you will be happy, it is Macross II destroids. No hard stats though. Graham
  14. Heh, will the SkyDiver crew, still wear sting vests in the remake I wonder? Graham
  15. I really hope this movie is not about primatives with spears and stones winning against powered armor, plasma guns and drop ships. Will be most disappointed if it is. Graham
  16. Not sure if it's been posted already or not, but here are the new VF-27DX test shot photos from the latest Dengeki Hobby magazine. Note the gunpod attached in fighter mode, the (correct) long front landing gear and what appears to be moveable nozzels on the outboard engine nacelles. Can't wait to get this, but definitely looking forward more to a green mass production unit, rather than Brera's purple version. Graham
  17. Pic in the new hobby mag shows the DX VF-27's beam gunpod can attach in fighter mode with the landing gear down. The gun pod barrel splits as per the anime and the front landing gear., goes between the two halves. In fact the front landing gear is nice and long as it should be and looks far more anime accurate than the VF-25's poor excuse for a front landing gear. Also, it looks like the trhusters on the outboard engine nacellesare also moveable to simulate thrust vectoring. Looks like Bandai has actually been listening to complaints and the VF-27 DX seems to be a more well thought out design than the VF-25 DX. Graham
  18. The Hi-Metal VF-1 may be a great toy, but I have only the bare minimum of interest. At best I'll buy a single VF-1S and that will be it. Role on the Hi-Metal VF-171/EX, VF-17D/S, VF-19F/S and VF-2SS w/SAP and I'll buy multiples. Graham
  19. Finally, VF-171EX and a nice cover pic as well. Hopefully, there will be lots of juicy specs and techy info. Graham
  20. Dedicated launch sequences is a brilliant idea. It's pretty silly having Protodeviln, capital ships and the AIPHOS launching from the same hanger as VFs. So, yeah, SV-51s luanching vertically from the submarine, VF-0s launching from the carrier deck, DYRL VF-1s launching from the launch arm for space missions and another no brainer is of course Diamond Force and Emerald Force lauching from the electromagnetic catapult thingy oloacted below Battle 7's bridge. Graham
  21. Ordered my 4th & 5th binder a couple of months ago as well. Didn't want to get caught short. Graham
  22. No, I mean like aerial combat. In one of the pre-release interviews for the movie, I seem to recall it was said that because most of the combat in the TV series took place in space, there would be a greater emphasis on aerial combat in the movie. Perhaps they are saving it for part 2? On the subject of part 2, was there a trailer for it at the end of the first movie? Graham
  23. I find it strange and somewhat worrying that the posters for this movie at the cinemas here, all have printed on them at the top in large print "From The Director of Titanic". Given that Titanic is a chick flick and is despised by 99.99% of all red blooded males, surely, this is a form-of anti-advertising and would only help to drive away the intended mostly male audience. I'm presuming here that the movie is a scifi actioneer and is targeted at males in the 16-35 (or thereabouts) age bracket. Or perhaps I'm wrong and it's going to be a mushy love story? Anyway, surely to attract genre fans , it would have been better to promote the movie as being 'From the the director of Aliens'? Graham
  24. As mentioned, the title is a bit redundant, but have you considered that maybe it's just the first in a series on Ninja themed "career" movies. Perhaps, sequels will include titles such as 'Ninja Baker', 'Ninja Accountant', 'Ninja Fast Food Worker' etc. Graham
  25. Some questions for Save, Rentato and others who have watched it: - 1) How was the mecha action? 2) Does the Tornado pack actually make an apperance? 3) Does the Tornado pack kick ass? 4) Is the YF-25 Prophecy in the movie. 5) Any noticable design changes to the Quarter or Ozma's VF-25S with Armored Pack or other mecha? 6) Is there actually more atmospheric combat, as was promised? Seems most of the discussion on the movie so far is about the characters and differences with the TV series, but us mecha-heads want to know about the VFs!!!!!!!! Graham
