  1. Yep, just finally got around to reading World War Z recently and really enjoyed it. I'd read the Zombie Survival guide a few years ago, but disn't really like it, as I disagreed with a lot of what Max Brook wrote, especially involving equipment. That's probably why I delayed so long in reading World War Z. I've been a fan of Romero's Dead movies since first seeing Day of the Dead in the mid-80s. I own and frequently watch all 6 of Romero's Zombie movies as well as the Tom Savini remake of Romero's Night of the Living Dead, which I think is excellent. Not a fan of any Zombie movie with fast-movers. Graham
  2. On the fence about this, but starting to waver towards buying it. That shark mouth and eyes look so cool. Graham
  3. No, the team that designed the 1/60 Yamato VF-19Kai, is definitely a completely different group to the people that designed the 1/100 Hi-Metal VF-19Kai for Bandai. Graham
  4. For those members living in Hong Kong, I saw today that Hong Kong Records in Pacific Place in Admiralty had several copies of the Blu-Ray Hybrid Pack sitting on the shelf in the games section. The cost was HK$639. Graham

  6. Oh, and mild objection to the slightly misleading thread title. The zombies in the Walking Dead are Romero slow mover type zombies, or as referred to in the comic, 'Roamers' and 'Lurkers' and they do not talk. They ARE NOTthe silly talking zombies from the 'Return of the Living Dead' comedy movie, that always say "Brains". Graham
  7. As a huge fan of the Walking Dead graphic novels, I've been really looking forward to this. Hope they stay reasonably faithful to the comics and that it doesn't get cancelled after one season as so many promising genre shows seem to do these days. Graham
  8. Definitely will be buying the full game when it is released. Graham
  9. On the fence about this. Will need to see more/better screen shots and then wait for some reviews after release. To be honest, I'm not a fan of 99% of the non-Macross mecha in the game and think most of them are damn silly looking. That, together with the fact that Macross mecha in ACE games often have handling problems, so I'm gonna wait and see before getting all excited. Graham
  10. Watched the trailer. While I like Madhouse, this doesn't look like my cup of tea at all, as I'm not into racing or hotwheels looking cars. Will pass. Graham

    YF 25 PROPHECY

Like all of us, I'd love to see the design team that did the DX VF-27, do a complete redesign of the DX VF-25 toy. Probably won't happen though. Unfortunately, Bandai doesn't even seem to be doing any more mold-milking of the existing DX VF-25 mold. They have had plenty of time to do a cannon fodder, but haven't even done that yet, so I don't expect a YF-25 Prophecy from them. Graham
  12. Not surprised by that as it's also featured in the PSP MAF & MUF games. Graham
  13. Just broke down and ordered the movie DVD from Amazon.jp. Graham
  14. Hi Metal VF-171 & VF-171EX, I'd buy a squadron of each if done well. Graham
  15. Any updates? Graham
  16. Despite the issues I have with the Hi-Metal VF-1J (glued on intake and stupid angle of the gunpod in fighter mode), I will probably pick up 1 of the DYRL Valks. Still hoping for news of the VF-19F soon, as that is an easy one for Bandai to do. It better come with a fighter mode gunpod attachment this time thouhgh! And yes, I'd love to see Bandai's take on the VF-0S/D/A in Hi-Metal form. Probably won't happen though. :-( Graham

    VF-0D

The Bandai 1/250 scale Macross Fighter Collection VF-0D is a nice, but little toy. I think our best bet for a 1/60 scale VF-0D is to have Captain America make a conversion kit for the Yamato toy. Graham
  18. So no VF-171, VF-171EX or Q-Rare then? Graham
  19. So which mecha, with what packs do you get to pilot in Trial Frontier? Graham
  20. 3D is actually a turn of for me now. I'm well and truely sick of it. It is an unnecessary gimmick IMO and does nothing to enhance my enjoyment of a film. Despite enjoying and liking the first 3 Resident Evil movies enough to see them at the cinema and buy the DVDs, I refused to see the 4th at it was in 3D and looked to be full of silly '3D for the sake of 3D' scenes. 3D is now NOT a selling point to draw me to see a movie, it is now a turn-off. Graham
  21. Just ordered the Flamethrower Clone Trooper & Clone Pilot Goji for my son. He's been asking for the Flamethrower Trooper since he saw it in TRU a few weeks ago. Graham
  22. 305 was pretty boring IMO. No Clones, no droids and not even any Jedi. Just Padma and Mandalorian Padme (AKA Satine), trying to find out who sold some tainted tea to a buncha school kids.........yawn.! Lots of political talk, with a short shoot-out at the end. Not only did my 6 year old kids eyes glaze over for most of the episode, but mine did as well. I think not even an R-rated lesbian sex scene between Padme and Satine could have saved this episode. The preview of next weeks episode looks slightly better, with Ahsoka travelling to Mandalore to train some Mandalorian Police cadets (IIRC). Still, it's supposed to be called, "Clone Wars" for a reason, i.e. there's supposed to be 'Clones' and a 'War' in it! Let's have more gratuitous battle episodes, with Clone Troopers slagging Clankers, please Mr. Lucas! And if you do have to have episodes on Mandalore, please at least throw in some Death Watch action! Graham
  23. Hope there is lots of Deathwatch action in 305. 301 & 302 were fantastic, especially 302, but 303 & 304 were kinda meh IMO. Clone Wars needs more clone action! Less politics & less Jedi please (except Obi Wan, who is always cool). Graham

    VF-0D

I brought up this question again a couple of weeks ago when Yamato's CEO visted HK and we met for lunch. I'd also realy love to have a VF-0D, as I think it has one of the most beautiful fighter modes in the Macross universe. Basically zero chance (pardon the pun). Yamato considers Macross Zero a dead property, that is not very popular with fans and thinks the cost of having to retool much of the toy to make the VF-0D to be prohibative. Basically, they feel the potential sales would not cover the cost of the retooling. I can't remember the exact percentage, but about 60% or more of the base VF-0 needs all new tooling to make a VF-0D: New Head. New Wings. New Nose/Cockpit section. New Back Pack. New Chest Piece. New Lower Legs (outer half). New Intakes. Graham
