  1. So is the enemy AI more intelligent in Trial Frontier, compared to MUF? Also, is the shop system the same? Graham
  2. Agreed, not evey book would work as a film, or even needs to be made into a film, but there are a huge number of books that would make excellent movies. I'd certainly prefer Hollywood try to mine books, rather that just make endless remakes. Graham
  3. Been playing again recently. Now up to 256 hours. Graham
  4. Also, in the real world, long-range, i.e. Beyond Visual Range (BRV) missiles, are seldom used at beyond visual ranges, due to the mostly politically-driven Rules of Engagement (RoE), which require either (a) a firm visual ID of the target with the mark-one eyeball, rather than just an electronic Radar or IFF ID of the target and/or (b), that you be fired upon first by the enemy, before firing back. Possibly, similar strict rules of engagement are frequently in place in the Macross universe? Graham
  5. I'll eat my hat if a Master File book actually comes out in time! Graham
  6. If the YF-21 got as far the tooling being cut, it would get made. You don't pay all that money for tooling and not make the product, unless you are bankrupt (which Bandai ain't, AFAIK). IIRC, we've only seen pics of a resin Hi-Metal YF-21 sculpt, not an actual ABS test shot from the molds (although I may be remembering wrongly). Graham
  7. Problem 1a: Hollywood seems incapable of coming out with new, original movie ideas. Problem 1b (directly related to 1.a): There seems to be few if any screenwriters capable of having an original plot idea. Solution: Novels! Now pay me millions of bucks, Hollywood, for solving all your problems! I know I'd pay good money for a series of movies based on the books of Peter F. Hamilton! Robocop, Total Recall, True Grit were and are great movies. I have no need, or conceivable desire to pay good money to see remakes, which will in all likelyhood be markedly inferior to the originals..........especially in 3D!!!!!! Graham
  8. I'd pay to see those in 3D! Graham
  9. And on the subject of books, there are literally thousands, if not tens or hundreds of thousands of fantastic books out there, that have the potential to be made into great films. Why the film industry seems to be stuck in this rut of endless remakes and remakes of remakes, is beyond me, when there is such a wealth on great new, original material out there, just waiting to be adapted to film. Graham
  10. Will definitely be buying the following from those new releases: CW29 Mandalorian Warrior CW34 Undead Geonosian CW35 Clone Trooper Draa CW36 Clone Commander Jet CW40 Obi-Wan Kenobi (New Super-Articulated sculpt) CW41 Clone Trooper Hevy in Training Armor CW42 Cad Bane w/ TODO-360 (New Super-Articulated sculpt) Disappointed to see no Aqua Droid there though. Graham
  11. To be honest, I personally don't care a rat's ass about more Hi-Metal VF-1 toys, but I'd buy a Hi-Metal VF-0D, VF-2SS w/SAP, VF-17, VF-171, VF-4, VF-5000 in a heart beat. Basically, I'll buy anything that hasn't already had a release from Yamato. Graham
  12. Get yourself to the library and borrow the book by John Wyndham at once (or even better, buy it!). It's only one of the all-time classic greats of science fiction and belongs on the shelf of every serious science fiction fan. Graham
  13. The swivelling pilot seat on this is amazingly well implemented. The whole toy rocks the socks off the earlier YF-19. Graham
  14. Damn, it's not molded in the correct colors? Somehow, I was under the impression, that it was going to be molded in blue, white and grey, not all grey. Oh well, not getting one, so no biggie. Graham
  15. Still waiting for my R2 DVD version to arrive from Amazon Japan. In the meantime, I downloaded a raw BluRay rip and watched it on my PC. Was actually pretty impressed with the movie. I thought the battle at the end of the movie was quite epic. Graham
  16. Yeah, I also thought that. Graham
  17. 306, was definitely better than 305. Yeah, I like Ahsoka's character too. Stil want more Clones and more War though! Graham
  18. If you read my post carefully, you'll note I was talking about how difficult the Armored pack is to transform, not the Tornado pack. The VF-25 with Tornado pack is easy to fit and transform and locks together well. The only area of difficulty with the Tornado pack is getting the arm packs on in fighter mode, but I usually just leave them off anyway. Graham
  19. Yes, I am, but I'm still psyching myself up to transform my Armored Ozma from Battroid to Fighter mode. That's always a traumatic and highly challenging experience. Last time, I tried, I nearly threw the damn thing against the wall in frustratution, due to all the armored parts that kept on popping off during transformation! Does not enjoy the "it's all right as long as you don't touch it" toy experience". Graham
  20. I'm not worried about the processing power of the PSP. My concern is whether the VF performance will be deliberately handicapped, with slow turning, poor flight performance etc, so as to not make other lesser mecha seem too bad in comparison, the way that has seemed to happen with the recent PS3 Ace Game. Graham
  21. Saw the Banadai 1/72 scale VF-25F with Tornado pack model kit has been released already. Saw it in the Sino Centre branch of Animate last night, but didn't check the price, as I was busy toy hunting. Graham
  22. Just to clarify, the set contains the following parts:- 2 x ventral large missile pods, with opening hatches for Tornado Pack. 4 x snap-on fuel tanks(?), which fit on the front of the Tornado's wing-tip engine pods. 4 x reaction missiles. 2 x double reaction missile mounts for the Armoured Pack. 2 x single reaction missile mount for Tornado pack (can only be fitted if the big ventral missile pods are not installed). Pics attached. Graham
  23. Just picked up the "Powered Weapons Set" last night for the Bandai DX 1/60 VF-25 Tornado / Armored. This set includes the Space Parts for the Tornado pack and Reaction Missiles and mounts for the Armored Pack. Bought it in Ins-Point shopping centre for HK$350. Ins-Point was the only place that I found selling it and I searched all the usual suspects. A few quick pics attached. Graham
