Klan's red VF-25S was featured in Macross Trial Frontier for the PS3 and also released in series 4 of the Bandai 1:250 scale Macross Fighter Collection Toys. Graham

Seems to be missing the sensors on the nose, infront of the cockpit. possibly they will just be stickers. Graham
-
Confirmed, the spikes on the end of the main guns are retractable. According to Yamato they just pull out and can be extended by about 15mm. Doh! not sure how I missed that. Will have to amend the review and add some more pics. Graham
-
No, the feet don't tilt. No, I don't think it is possible to bring the arms closer. Graham Could catch on the spike length. I will check when I go home and I'll also ask Yamato. Graham

The 'Mechanic' tab is now active on the official Macross Triangle Frontier site. A limited number of mecha from each era shown so far. Also, doesn't seem to be any changes in the models from MUF that I can notice, although some pics posted earlier on the Famitsu website did seem to show changes to the VF-19Kai fighter model. Graham

Additional text about the knee joint added to the review. Graham
-
Yes, it does have knee articulation. I show it in the video transformation guide, but forgot to mention it in the text. Graham

And we are now live with the review. Graham's review of Yamato's 1:3000 scale SDF-1 Macross. Enjoy. Graham

Just trying to get in touch with Yamato to see if I have their permission to post the review now. Graham

Don't forget the converted model kits shown in the Macross R articles, are incorrect compared to the lineart. The model kits are modified Hasegawa YF-19 kits and thus have incorrect canopies and a few other incorrect areas. However, according to the lineart, the VF-19EF Caliburn & VF-19ACTIVE should be based on the VF-19E(Kai)/F/S/P type frame instead. So rather than Yamato making a V3 YF-19, they should be modifying their VF-19kai toy to make the VF-19E & VF-19ACTIVE. Graham

My son liked the original cars when he was 2 1/2 to 3 years old, but he's moved on now he's 6 1/2 and probably won't want to see this. I have no interest either. Graham

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
Graham replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Still not liking this very much. Would have far prefered a DX VF-171/171EX. Graham -
In MUF you can have both Chibi-Klan and Meltran-Klan as a pilot. But as you said as a playable mecha, there's only FP-Klan in MUF. Graham
-
You could play as Klan in the last game (MUF) as well, either as a pilot, or as a playable mecha (Fast Pack Klan). Graham

Review text 80% written today. Things still to do: - 1) Do transformation video. 2) 2nd photo shoot, including comparison pics with Wave & Takatoku SDF-1s. 3) Final webpage editing. Graham

No spoilers on the comic please. Or use spoiler tages. Only just read up to where they first come into the gated community. Graham

1st movie ad for Macross Triangle Frontier PSP game is out on the official site. Go to the site and click on the 'Movies' tab. Discussions in the dedicated thread in the games forum please Graham
-
The official site now has the 'Movie' tab open and there is a commercial for the game up. For the campaign mode, gameplay, graphics and screen layout look identical to MUF. So apart from a few new stages and new mecha, I'm guessing not much has changed. For the Mihoshi Acedemay part, I'm guessing a lot of this may be unplayable, unless you can read Japanese. Graham

I've got it packed up in the carton ready to carry home tonight, so can't measure it exactly, but it's about 15" x 6" x 19.5". Graham
