Never mind found it. Here's the link to the page, with lots of new pics. http://www.andriasang.com/e/galleries/2010/12/09/macross_triangle_frontier_screens/ Just a note, if anybody finds new pics, please post the link to the page, not only just teasing us with 1 pic! I'm loving the look of the cannon-fodder VF-25A with Tornado Pack. And is that Klan's VF-25S I see there? Graham

Can you post that other pic as well please. Graham

Where is that pic from? It is not from the earlier Famitsu article. Graham

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
Graham replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Even if it is released as a DX, I will likely pass. Too ugly IMO. Graham -
I'd say either just buy a bare 1/60 DX VF-25F or VF-25S or get the Tornado pack VF-25F. IMO, the DX Tornado Pack is the only one of the accessory packs, that actually stays on fairly well for the most part (forearm packs excepted, which I leave off anyway). While the DX Armour Pack looks nice, getting it fitted and then getting all the parts to stay on can be an exercise in frustration. While fitting the Super packs is easy, the intake covers do tend to fall of if you look at them the wrong way. Also, in battroid mode, the extra weight of the Armoured or Super Packs can cause the waist catch to auto-unlock. I haven't experienced an wing hinge cracking on any of my VF-25 so far (touch wood). This seems to be something that has only been reported on a few Armoured Ozma VF-25S though, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've yet to hear of it happening with a VF-25F fitted with Tornado packs. That being said, I keep my VF-25F Tornado in fighter mode, as I think it looks best in that mode and have never actually transformed it, although I have transformed my other VF-25 DX toys many times. If you do like to play/handle/transform your toys, I would stay away from the model kits. While the kits liook gorgeous and are the most accurate of all the versions, they will not stand up to repeated transfomations. The 1/100 VF100s VF-25 toys are quite nice representations of the VF-25, but do require a ot of parts swapping to transform, so if that is not your thing and if you are a person who gets worried about keeping track of lots of small parts, this may not be the best option. Last word on the DX VF-25, the joints can get quite loose, fairly quickly even if you don't handle the toy much. My DX VF-25G Michael, while fine out of the box, turned into a floppy mess in the space of 6 months, without even being handled much. Graham

I still have some concerns that the Mihoshi Academy/character interaction part of the game is going to be the major focus of the game and the actual mecha combat portion of the game will be somewhat smaller, perhaps with a reduced number of missions or lower number of mecha compared to MUF. I hope I'm wrong, and worrying unnecessarily but the fact that the box art emphasises characters over mecha makes me worry. Graham

Hoping the Nyan Nyan shop is kept, for upgrading mecha. It would be nice if FAST Packs/Armour Packs could be upgraded as well this time. Graham

With that big ugly intake, I've never considered standard F-16s' sleek and actually always quite disliked how they look and found them to be one of the ugliest US fighter jets ever. However, I'm probably in the minority, here, but I actually like how F-16s' look with the CFTs. The general ugliness of the jet, combined with the lumps and bumps of the CFTs, combines to make a mean looking jet that looks all business. Graham

So far it's looking like on screen game display is identical to MUF. I'm better that most of the VF models will just be reused as well, with the possibility of some tweeks, like we have already seen with the VF-19Kai. Graham

The official site now has tabs at the top of the page for: News, System, Spec, Mechanic, Character, Music, Movie and ???. So far only the System and Spec tabs are active. Graham

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series
Graham replied to BoBe-Patt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well pointed out eriku. So I guess we are going to be savagely oppressed next then! Anyway, the last several episodes have pretty much killed my 6 1/2 year old son's interest in The Clone Wars, which is a shame, as we used to enjoy watching it together. I really do hope the show redeems itself with the coming episodes. And while Jedi fights are OK I suppose, what my son and I realy like seeing is Clone battles. Graham- 1217 replies

I wonder if set 5 (if there is one), will include the new VF-19EF (Macross-R) & YF-29 (2nd Frontier movie)? I do hope that Bandai eventually gives us a Max & Milia VF-22S and grey VF-0D. These would be easy to do, as the molds exist already. I'm also hoping we eventually get a VF-11, VF-17 and SV-51 in this line as well, but I'm not holding out too much hope, as Bandai seems to place the focus mostly on Frontier in the last 2 sets. As I've said in the other threads on this in the toy forum and movie forum.........yuk! This is the first VF fighter mode that I have instantly hated. It really does look like a cobbled together mish-mash of VF-25/VF-27/SV-51/YF-19 and not in a good way. I find it interesting that Bandai has chosen to release this in 1/100 scale and I'm betting it will be non-transforming at that price point. I'm guessing they are testing the waters first with this kit to see if the it sells well and only then if it does will release larger variable models or toys. I wonder what happened to the propsed 1/100 scale non-transforming VF-25 model that was displayed at a trade show many months ago and then never mentioned or shown again? Graham

Need to read through the Trial Frontier thread again, but I seem to recall didn't someone say that the Famitsu magazine article mentioned that Triangle Frontier would only have mecha and stages from the 1st Frontier movie. Graham -

Not liking this new YF-29 at all on first glance. It really is as others have been saying, a mish-mash of the VF-25/VF-27/SV-51 and YF-19. I think this is the first Valk fighter mode that I have taken an instant dislike to. I definitely prefer te look of the new VF-19EF from Macross-R, over the YF-29. It's interesting to note that Bandai are releasing it as a 1/100 (likely non-transforming) kit, rather than 1/72 like the rest of their Macross Frontier models. I wonder if the YF-29 will make it into the upcoming Macross Triangle Frontier PSP game (unlikely, as I think it's already been mentioned that that game will only cover the first Frontier movie). I guess we will see a toy at some stage, whether it is Hi-Metal or 1/60 DX, who knows. Graham -
