  1. Bought the new Dengeki Hobby a few days ago and there are some nice new pics of both the VF-17S and VF-19S. The VF-17S fighter mode looks really nice in the new pics. I stopped buying Hobby Japan months ago as they typically have far less Macross coverage than Dengeki Hobby. Graham
  2. I'd say it's more of a lance than a spear. And although I don't have the magazine in front of me, IIRC the chest armor is taken from the Armored Pack. Graham
  3. Nice to see the YF-25 Prophecy in the top left of that screen capture. Need to check the VF-25 Master Filesbook to see if that grey VF-25 in the top left corner is in the book, that tail marking looks familiar. Graham
  4. Disappointing that they are web shop exclusives, but kinda expected and not the end of the world. Graham
  5. Gotta say both my v.2 VF-25F Alto have no paint chips out of the box, although the left hand of my first one has very sloppy paint application. I really think a v.2 VF-25A cannon-fodder version or YF-25 Prophecy would be thing of great beauty. Unfortunately, Bandai doesn't go in for mold-milking as much as Yamato Can't wait for the VF-25S Ozma now. Playing with the YF-29 last night and the leg locking really sucks compared with the v.2 VF-25. Those tiny little tabs on the YF-29's wing gloves just don't lock in securely to the lower legs. Graham
  6. The gunpod and the knife both fit in the hand very securely. I'm not at home now, but IIRC the metal parts are hips (intakes), insides of feet, ankles, '5-hole' shoulder blocks, front and rear landing gear struts. Can't think of any other parts right now. Graham
  7. IIRC, the only difference will Gilliam's VF-25F was that the top of the head was white, not black & red, although I may be remembering incorrectly. Graham
  8. I doubt they will, but it's buy 2 if they did. Graham
  9. I don't think the Vita will be able to run PS3 games. This quote from Wikipedia made me laugh: "Sony has told publishers that the device would be "as powerful as the PlayStation 3". Sony later denied this, with the SCEA platform research manager stating "Well, it's not going to run at 2 GHz because the battery would last five minutes and it would probably set fire to your pants". :P Graham
  10. Damn, and here I was thinking this thread was going to be about the ultra-rare 1/1 scale inflateable Minmay doll. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/fun/ebay2050/_ebay2050_inflatableminmei.htm Graham
  11. Guys, can we keep the game discussion in the game forum please. There is a specific topic already for discussing the Last Frontier Game. Graham
  12. Great work, although personally, I've never been a fan of big rivits all over hi-tech fighter jets. Graham
  13. Personally, I love my anime-accurate Milia VF-22S, although I've never transformed it from fighter mode, so no idea if it suffers from the missing knee caps, as some members found. Both my Max and Milia VF-22S stay permanently in fighter mode. Graham
  14. I didn't notice that, I'll have to check my toy and the manual. Now where's that panic button pic when you need it? LOL! Graham Agree, the VF-19Kai has superb design and engineering. Yet to be bettered IMO! Graham
  15. It's a promising sign that Namco-Bandai and Artdink are signed up as PSVita game developers. http://i.joystiq.com...ita-developers/ Graham
  16. Yes. Graham Yes, it's a great toy. IMO, engineering, design and quality-wise, near parity (98%) with the Yamato VF-19Kai, Basically, it's the VF-25F toy that Bandai should have made all along. Graham
  17. Changes from time to time. Currently a joint tie between the Yamato 1/60 VF-19Kai and the Bandai 1/60 v.2 VF-25F. In the past it has been: Yamato 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru with Strike Packs. Yamato 1/60 VF-11B. Yamato 1/60 VF-0S. Bandai 1/65 VF-17D DX. Bandai 1/55 VF-1S Hikaru Strike Valk. Graham
  18. Just picked up a second one for HK$1,248 at a shop on 2/F Oriental 188 Center, Wanchai. Box was a bit dinged up on one corner, but I don't care about the box. Checked the toy, was in perfect condition. The storekeeper had at least 3 more I. Stock. Graham
  19. Yes, they do angle out. I also angled them out in my pics. Graham
  20. Yep, I love the tighter, non-saggy ones that can pull off erotic, err...............exotic posses Graham
  21. Nice to see that the toy has nice deep slots in the forearms, for proper and secure attachment of the Armoured/Super arm packs. Graham
  22. But yeah, in over 20 years of toy collecting, I've gradually realized 4 important things: 1) Toys are for playing with and enjoying, don't be so anal about keeping them in mint condition. 2) Expect the inevitability of a few dings, scratches, scrapes, breakages and yellowing. 3) If you want to delay yellowing (you can't avoid it, a bit like death & taxes), keep your toys out of direct sunlight and in a temperature and humidity controlled environment, if you live in a hot and humid country like I do. 4) Yamato toys break more easily than Bandai toys, but Bandai toys yellow far more quickly Graham
  23. Even keeping them in their boxes doesn't always work. I've had a Bandai V Gundum toy and a Bandai v.1 1/60 VF-25F Alto go yellow in the box, despite never having taken them out of the box before. Best bet, seal them in amber..........LOL! Graham
  24. A few more quick pics, this time snapped using my phone camera. For those asking, the toy has a gloss finish. Graham
  25. Bit disappointed that the player doesn't use the Tornado pack's twin beam cannons in the video. I would have liked to see them. I use them all the time in MTF, when using the Tornado Pack. Graham
