  1. No, they are not, but if you pull up the bicep cover, there is another joint under that, which gives you a wider range of movement. See the 2 attached photos, which show (1) the bicep cover up showing the second joint and (2) the bicep cover down. Graham
  2. Gotta say after multiple trasformations, nothing is broken on mine. 1) The Wing root joints are perfect on mine, no cracks or stress marks and hold up the wings perfectly in battroid with no sagging. 2) The Gerwalk leg joints (behind the intakes)are likewise perfect. I always transform this joint on any VF in a controlled and careful manner and have never had a problem breaking it. Photos please. 3) The crotch piece is fine on mine. Don't see how this could have a problem. 4) I have no idea what peice of the nose you guys are saying you have broken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Photos please. Really, I still think you guys must be a bunch of 300lb ham-fisted gorillas with acid extruding fingers and not actual real people. The thing is I've actually met Renato a number of times, and yes just like 'Revenge of the Sith' Vader, he does have small hands I do however suspect that he is actually some sort of were-beast, that transformings into a hulking, toy-destroying monster whenever he gets his hands on a toy. I also find the transformation to and from battroid easy, although I would recommend following the instruction manual the first couple of times until you know it by heart. Graham
  3. Because HLJ sucks? Seriously, they are slower than slow at processing orders out if their warehouse. If you absolutely need anything in a hurry from Japan, never use HLJ! If you don't mind slow, they are ok. Graham
  4. Personally, I've always liked the Macross 7 mecha and prefer the VF-19S/F/P/Kai over the Mac Plus YF-19. Also prefer the VF-22S over the YF-21. And of course the VF-17D is my all time favourite VF. Just picked up a second VF-19 Kai. Graham
  5. Then you are not pulling hard enough. Graham
  6. Sorry, no review from me just yet. I wanted to do one, but the fates were unkind to me. First my review sample was 2 days late, meaning I'd lost the weekend set side for the review, then I was in hospital got a few days for some minor surgery, them my home internet connection dies Will do one soon though. It really is a kick-ass toy, best Yamato have ever made IMO. The engineering and QC in this toy is top notch. Best VF toy so far. By the way, the whole back piece is diecast. Graham
  7. Don't obsess on the CAD details and shape too much, still preliminary stage and could change. Graham
  8. What the heck is a "manhwa", from the original post? Graham
  9. Have wanted a decent VF-17 toy since 1995. Graham
  10. I'd also prefer an S first, but will still buy at least two of each. Graham I'd also prefer an S first, but will still buy at least two of each. Graham
  11. Eyes are painted. Graham
  12. And the topic title needs changing. Not sure why you guys think it is a D. Just saying. Graham
  13. Haha, probably I locked it by accident on my touch screen Android phone and didn't even notice........whoops! Graham
  14. Should be out of hospital today and will start on the review tomorrow. This toy really gets a 10 out of 10 from me. For those asking why the NUNS stickers, they are from the VF-19 variants from the Variable Fighter Master File book. And yes, Yamato put a lot of love into this toy. Graham
  15. Love that there is an Emerald Force VF-25. Graham
  16. 3D, Hell No! Graham
  17. Unfortunately, as the sample was late and I only received it yesterday, I'm not sure I will ne able to get a review done in time, as I'm in hospital on Thursday for a few days for some minor surgery Graham
  18. They have a black stripe on them now. Graham Wrong thread to ask in. VF-19 comments and questions only please. Graham Some unexpected diecast metal for those that like it. Graham
  19. Holy crap! Buy, buy, buy! Best toy from Yamato ever. Super tight joints, loaded with cool gimmicks, great finish, fantastic attention to detail and the coolest sticker sheet ever! This is how a 19 toy should be. And no gullet Quantum leap from Yamato again, they have really raised the bar. Oh and surprisingly small box. Graham
  20. I could tell you what I'm getting today, but then I'd have to kill you. Had a phone conversation with Yamato today, they say this is their best VF yet and they have put a lot of effort into making sure the joints are all tight and that the toy locks together very well and is really solid. Graham
  21. Actually, just looking at the book now and counting the micro-missiles and the cutaway FAST Pack drawing shows 320 micro-missiles! Graham
  22. But the figure of 90 doesn't tie in with the illustration! If you count the missiles in the drawing, it is far more than 90! I don't have the book in front of me right now (I'm at work), But IIRC it is either 130 or 180 micro missile per Super Pack. Graham
  23. Picked up mine at the G/F Japanese magazine shop in Sino Center, Mong Kok, yesterday. They had quite a few just in, for any HK members wondering where to buy it. Love the artwork, but as others have said, there's hardly anything on the Armored Pack and Tornado Pack. I was surprised that there were a few small, but nice pics of the YF-29. Surprised the gunpod magazine is drawn so small, given the size of the stock. I'd assumed the magazine was a non-removable you're that took up more space. Good book, but hope we get a second volume, with more emphasis on the various packs. Graham
  24. Thanks David. Nice to know that Kawamori didn't screw up then. Graham Yes, but what exactly does a Fold-Wave Projector do? Well, I'm guessing project fold waves ..........but what does that mean from a practical effect standpoint? Graham
