  1. Personally, I prefer the D head to the S. The VF-17D is probably my all time favourite VF head, second being the VF-19S Graham
  2. Ha, that will be close then, as I fly to Greece on 25th. May need a local members help to buy one for me. Graham
  3. Been discussing with Yamato about the lack of instument panel tampo or sticker on the Fire Valkyrie. Apparently the head of development didn't think it was needed However, good news, I have got then to agree to include it for the VF-19S and F. Graham
  4. Anybody spotted the exact release day in June on any website yet??? I'm guessing it will be around 25th, as that is when Bandai usually releases. But would appreciate exact date if anybody has seen it. Graham
  5. The VF-17's lower legs were always going to be problematic. They have to look big and chunky for battroid mode, yet slim enough to enable a relatively slim fighter mode. And then into the lower leg, you need to fit the rear landing gear, folded gunpod, reaction missile bay, all the associated doors and the connections for the knee and ankle joint. At this stage, I can confirm landing gear and a gunpod stored in the leg (in some form). I don't know yet, but I suspect the reaction missile bay may not be included (I should know later today). The latest CADs look great. From what I saw yesterday, Yamato have done a good job of capturing the chunkiness of the Nightmare in battroid, while still keeping a relatively slim fighter mode. Graham
  6. Yes, unfortunately the wings extend to the back of the knees. No easy way around this unless you have swappable wings, a small set for battroid and a full size set for fighter, but Yamato don't want to do that.Graham
  7. Having gunpod firing ports on both the right and left leg on the 1/65 DX. Graham
  8. Thanks Kurdt, you're a hero! Graham
  9. The gunpod is stored in the right leg and fires out of the right leg in fighter mode and ejects out of the right leg in battroid mode. The orange colour beam gun adaptor, which replaces the standard magazine is stored in the left leg and ejects out of the left leg when needed. Graham
  10. Finally, one more request, a screen capture from ep 43 (IIRC) showing the reaction missiles being loaded into the VF-17. Need a clear pic showing the reaction missile bay doors open on the VF-17. Graham
  11. Thanks guys, greatly appreciate your speedy work. Had to (a) stop them making the same mistake as Bandai and (b) want to make sure they include the beam gun adaptor. Graham
  12. URGENT Not at work now, so could somebody help me to find and post either a screen cap from the anime or line art of the following: - 1) VF-17 in fighter mode firing the gunpod. IIRC, there are many scenes in the anime showing a frnt view of the fighter with the muzzle flash coming from the port in the right leg. 2) Screen cap from the anime of the beam gun adaptor ejecting from the right leg and then also on the gunpod. Large pics please. Graham
  13. True, I agree with that. Graham 1) Personally, I prefer the sleek, streamlined somewhat minimalistic look of the VF-19Kai/F/S/P over the YF-19. Different strokes for different folks. I've always thought the VF-19Kai/F/S/P look much more advanced than the YF-19. 2) The gunpod (actually it's a Speaker Pod Launcher)fires large caliber speaker pods. It is a large bore single barrel weapon, not a gattling. 3) The VF-19F/S/P will all be gloss plastic. This can't be changed now, without great expense. 4) I will talk to Yamato about tampo for the consoles fpr future versions. Graham
  14. Tampo is as it should be as far as I'm concerned. It has the lightning flashes and that's all that was ever shown. Personally, for the non-military Fire Valk, I want the toy how it appeared in the show, not covered in extraneous non-canon warning markings. Graham
  15. Hope it comes out by June 25th, as that's when I fly for a 3 week holiday. Worried about missing it. Graham
  16. Just noticed the VF-19C/MG21 has old UN Spacy kite markings. Graham
  17. I'd say it's the other way round. Yamato = Shinsei Industries. Bandai = General Galaxy. Mostly because Yamato has more winning products, just like Shinsei Graham
  18. I agree with Renato, with the VF-19Kai, Yamato have taken things to a whole new level. Graham
  19. Here's the latest scans from the new July 2011 issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine. 8 pages in total this month. Enjoy! Graham
  20. Here's the latest scans from the new July 2011 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Grahm
  21. Yes it is. There really was a lot of love put into this toy. Graham
  22. It seems to be an entierly new mold. I don't think converting it back to a VF-25 would be easy. Graham Yes it is. I just picked up the new Dengeki Hobby magazine and there are 2 pages of pics on the DX YF-29. The toy is shown with the pilot out of the cockpit. Will scan and post the pics on Saturday, no time before then. Graham
  23. Just picked up the new July 2011 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine, this month's mecha focus is on Destroids, specifically a modified Defender called 'Defender-S' with twin gattling guns (1 per arm) instead of the normal quad cannons. The Defender-S is also fitted with 4 x DYRL type UMM-7 micro-missile pods (two per arm, mounted one above and one below the gattling). There is also a green and white VF-19C (basically a stock repainted VF-19A/YF-19 kit). Unfortunately no time to scan in the article until the weekend. Graham
  24. Wrong thread for this question. Graham
