  1. Haha, that's funny. But seriously, the 'cup' of the cupcake is about the right size and shape for the visor. Graham
  2. Picked up a green CM's Legioss/Tread last night and a second CM's Blow Superior, so I can have one permanently in bike mode and the other in Armour mode. Graham
  3. Well, just got a short email reply from Yamato about the VF-17D head: I have passed your comments to the guy in charge. We are going to release 17D around XXXX. and the sculpt is not final. I will keep you posted. So there is hope for change. Graham
  4. Although I like the current head sculpt, I agree the proposed changes would make it look even better and closer to the lineart. However, the whole cherry cupcake thing is gonna be permanently stuck in my head when I look at it now. Graham
  5. I've emailed our comments and comparisons to Yamato. Up to them if they act on them. If I do get a reply call or email, I'll post what they say. Graham
  6. I think it would be cool in the movie, if the aliens dropped big, white, peg shaped cylinders from the sky, which if they hit the humans warship turned red. Graham
  7. If Yamato did ever make a Legioss, I'd like it to be larger than their default 1/60 scale, as it's a damn small plane anyway. I don't really care about it being in scale with my Yamato Valks. I reckon a larger scale, say 1/35 scale Legioss from Yamato might sell, assuming it has their normal attention to detail, gimmicks and lineart accuracy (as far as possible) in all three modes. I doubt a largeTread would sell well enough though if sold stand alone. We've seen that the stand alone Beta/Tread from Toynami/Aoshima didn't sell well and a combined Legioss and Tread set from Yamato would be too expensive in 1/35 scale, unless they shrunk it down and made it about the size of CM's. So personally, I could live without a Yamato Tread, as long as they made a large-ish kick-ass Legioss. But anyway, yeah, unlikely to happen Graham
  8. Nope, never seen it before. Cool vid, although I don't like the redesigned helmet much. Graham
  9. But on the toy, they will have to be removed from the wings and placed back on the legs. Graham
  10. While I'd love to see Yamato make the VF-19ACTIVE, it would financially be quite a big risk for them, as it would involve an awful lot of new tooling and thus expense for just one paint variant. It would require all new tooling for the head, shoulders, shield, lower legs, feet and wings. Graham
  11. Umm..........!? Graham
  12. Thought this 4 part arc dragged on too long. They really could have done it in 2 episodes (or 3 max). But I'm biased. Both my son and I are not really into Jedi epsodes and prefer the clone trooper based eps more. Graham
  13. I've been trying for 10 years to persuade Yamato to make a Madox toy, but they always say it's too obscure, wouldn't sell. Graham
  14. The damn broken off peg is jammed really tightly into the hip armour. I wasn't aple to push it out at all. If I wanna look at a MCGuyver fix, I'd probably have to invest in a little hand powered model drill to drill it out. Graham
  15. I do want that Phase 2 armor Captain Rex figure. Graham
  16. Great for the TV series completists, but I'll probably pass on this. Doesn't do much for me. Too many VF-1 toys already and not enough space to display them all. Graham
  17. Gimmicks, price range? What are these strange alien concepts you refer to? It will sit there looking pretty and cost a lot, that's all you need to know.......LOL. . And you will be grateful........Mwahahahaha! Graham
  18. That 17D head is a thing of great beauty. At least 4 of them will be mine. Graham
  19. I quite like these CM's Ride Armor toys and may pick up one or two more, but I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that when you buy one, it's better to decide which mode you want to have it in, then transform it to that mode one time only and then leave it in that mode permanently. More than one transformation seems to be asking for parts breakage. Anyway, looking forward to the arrival of my Masterpiece Rand. Graham
  20. Graham

    SCOOP thread!

Err.....VF-19F? I hope so, that's my second most anticipated toy, after the VF-17D. Graham
  21. Haha, actually, I don't. I've been kinda kept outta the lop recently. Or I should say there's stuff I know about that is coming in the future, but I have no idea what they are planning to announce at WF or soon. Graham
  22. Haha, yeah your bottom right pic is what happened to me, unfortunately Graham
  23. Something you know that you are not telling us? Graham
  24. Damn, on only the second transformation, I broke the plastic peg that sticks out of the rear wheel hub on the CM's Blow Superior I was transforming from bike mode to ride armour mode and was trying to remove the part that becomes the hip armour, which was attached really tightly to the wheel hub and as I was pulling it off, the damn plastic peg snapped off the wheel hub Why they coldn't make those pegs diecast on both sides I don't know So now my Blow Superior is limited to Ride Armour mode One question. In Ride Armour mode on the CM's, how do you get the metal wheel struts to stay in place, as there doesn't really seem to be any mechanism to lock them in place? Graham
