  1. Yep, same for me, the thing that first attracted me to Macross, before I even new what Macross was was the Takani box art. Back in 82 or more likely 83 (I forget exactly), a lot of UK toy and model shops started stocking the Arai and Imai Macross model kits and I was just blown away by the amazing box art and mecha designs. I'd love to have the original of Takani's Wave 1/72 VF-17 vinyl kit box art. Graham
  2. Two currently on display (my first of which I accidently damaged the sharp points on the LERX through my carelessness ) The other 2 are 'just in case' spares The VF-17 is my all time favorite VF. Graham
  3. Just curious, how is Harmony Gold actually making money these days? Graham
  4. If they released 30 issues with all new content, I'd buy them for sure. They could just call it Macross Chonicle Part II, or something. But I'm damned if I'm buying 80 issues of an expanded release when I already own 60% of the content. That's a lot of money to spend again. Graham
  5. Yay! Was actually just going to send you a remnder about this, Sketchley, but then saw your post. Graham
  6. And while you are at it, some atmospheric super parts for the 1/60 VF-11C, a 1/3000 scale transforming Battle 7, a radome for the 1/60 VF-17S and how about a perfect transformation 1/60 VF-5000B? And all finished and available to buy online before lunch time tomorrow. I know not the meaning of patience..........Mwahahahahah! Graham
  7. Well, I already have 4 x VF-17S. : D Graham
  8. The only Spider-Man is the Ralph Bakshi cartoon, there are no others! Graham
  9. Unpacked my CM's dark Stick last night and spend about 30 fairly frustrating minutes just getting the bike assembled and getting the rider sitting on the bike. Also very disappointed to find the wheels don't spin, guess I must have missed that in the reviews I read And yes, getting the front wheel assemblies all connected up in bike mode was the most frustrating part. In the end I had to resort to super glue to glue in the pegs on the rear of the missile launchers (the ones that connect to the forks), as these pegs kept popping off the rear of the missile launcher panels. I also had problems getting the left missile launcher panel to stay connected to the metal pin that sticks out of the wheel, as the hole in the rear of the missile launcher panel seemed over-sized. Still, when it was finally assembled, it looked quite nice and the plug that connects from the saddle into the rider's butt held the rider on very securely. I'm sorta toying with the idea of hunting down a Beagle, the engineering looks awesome. The only thing that really puts me off is the cloth suit, which does make the figure look really doll like. I really hate cloth on action figures as it seldom looks good or lasts long. I would have far prefered that Beagle just molded those parts in plastic instead of using cloth. Graham
  10. Cautiously optimistic about this movie. Loved the books as a kid. At least they kept the Earth scenes in the correct era and didn't update them to modern day times, as I feared they would. Far too many clothes though! Graham
  11. "B5" "Hit..........you sunk my battleship". Resemblance to movie...........Nil! LOL! Graham
  12. FAST Packs look awesome, gonna get me 6 sets. I just hope they have the tampo printed UN Spacy kites on them. Can't wait for the VF-17D, my all time favorite VF. Graham That's what I call 'extreme balance'! Graham
  13. Seriously impressive! Graham Beacuse: (a) The VF-11B and VF-11C didn't sell as well as expected, which sorta soured Yamato on doing anything more with the VF-11. (b) When the VF-11 toy was designed they never considered the full armor, so the base toy is not really designed with attachment of the armor in mind, unlike the v.2 VF-1, which was designed from the start with armor in mind. Not saying armor couldn't be made to fit the VF-11, but it might not attach as well as it could. Graham
  14. Great job helping out the community Veef, well done! Graham
  15. A little late to the party, but decided I needed a Ride Armour toy, as its probably over a decade since I sold off my old large Gakken one. I took the plunge today and bought both the CM's dark Stick type and Yellow type from a local shop in Causeway Bay. For US$32 (HK$250 each). Despite the horrible reviews on the CM's Ride Armor toys on Anymoon and Collection DX, I gather these may be among the best of the CM's Ride Armors given some of the plastic parts were changed to metal. Still, I'll probably no dound end up hating the small size and likley fiddlyness of them. Looked around but couldn't find any Megahouse or Beagle locally, otherwise I might have picked up a Beagle. Graham
  16. Looking forward to taking my son to see this. I think he'll enjoy it. Graham
  17. It's been a while since I played the Battleship board game or as it was back in my day, pen and paper game, but I don't recall aliens ever being in the game. Nice to see my hometown getting attacked in a couple of scenes in the trailer though. Graham
  18. Nope, unfortunately Still waiting for them to call me back. Graham
  19. Can't wait for the FAST packs. Gonna buy 4 sets. Always thought the 17's FAST Packs are among the most unique and nicest looking. A little disappointed to see no UN Spacy kites on the FAST packs (or the VF-17) in that pic. Graham I personally feel the small stickers are a little too small for the chest. Graham
  20. Still waiting for an Elric of Melnibone movie Graham
  21. From being a main character in the movie and seasons 1 and 2, Rex, really seems to have been sidelined in seasons 3 and 4 Graham
  22. Err.......who's the guy between Thor and Iron Man supposed to be, Julian Assange? Graham
  23. The only improvement I would like to see to the YF-21/VF-22S is landing gear that locks in the open position. Mine always stay in fighter mode. Graham
