  1. And it's not even such a great toy IMO. I'd be much happier with mine if it actually had decent locking for the lower legs in fighter mode and also if the shoulder armour didn't pop off at least twenty times during transformation to fighter mode. Graham
  2. While the Toynami Alpha overall sculpt is quite accurate, the fit, finish, quality and materials all leave a great deal to be desired. I really get the feeling it was designed from a hand-made sculpt and no CAD was used, hence the poor parts fit, as likely all the left and right parts are not quite identical or symmetrical. I'm in a mood for an Alpha toy recently, but don't wanna go back to Toynami. I thought I might still have an old green Toynami left, but couldn't find it, so I guess all my old busted Toynami Alphas got thrown away. I've been watching and reading all the CM's Legioss/Tread reviews online over the last few days and really trying to bring myself to like it, but the inaccurate sculpt of the Legioss and the total lack of locking in plane mode are a total deal-breaker for me. I did really wanna like it, but I just can't get past the lack of locking. I'm a fighter mode guy damn it, and need my planes to lock together well, so they can be zoomed around. Gonna have to talk to Yamato and see if any chance they would pick up the licence and finally make us the decent Legioss we all need. Graham
  3. Finished reading issue 92 recently. Graham
  4. Haha, best quote of the day so far. Can I put that in my signature? Really made me chuckle reading it.Graham
  5. I still think it's really too soon for a re-release, as the first run only finished a year and a half ago. In my opinon, waiting 3 to 5 years after the first run finished would seem a more reasonable time-frame for an expanded re-release. Graham
  6. Very cool custom. I like it a lot. Graham
  7. Which book is that pic from? I gotta know. Never seen it before. Graham
  8. Nice! Even my first time to see. Me Likee. Graham
  9. Makes me wanna watch Macross Plus again (not that I ever need much of an excuse) Graham
  10. You can never have too much Mylene! I vote for the 40% new content to be all about Mylene! Graham
  11. Have emailed Yamato to ask them if the March reissue of the VF-17S is confirmed and whether or not it will have tampo printing (I personally doubt it will). However, Yamato have been pretty slow with replying recently, so don't expect a quick answer. As I mentioned before, I've started using trimmed UN Spacy Kite emblem stickers from the v.2 1/60 VF-1, which I think look much better size-wise on the VF-17S. Personally, I think the UN Spacy Kite emblem stickers supplied with the VF-17S are just too large, even when the clear border is trimmed off. Graham
  12. AAAaaaarrghh!!!! Me too!!!!!!!!!! What a real dick move, trying to force people to buy the whole thing again after such a short time, just with some additional new content and new binders (but still mostly reprint material)..........Grrrrrr not happy! Would much prefer they just released chronical supplements with only the all new material. After collecting all the original Chonicle as and when it came out,I'm not sure I wanna go all through that again. These things are not cheap and take up a fair amount of shelf space. may just buy the first issue, just for the YF-29 and then only buy the occasional issue that has something new of interest to me. Graham
  13. Whoops, my mistake, the renewal is actually a bit darker. Still looks great though and 100% better than the v.1 in every aspect. Looking at the v.1 and the renewal ver sid by sidethe slightly darker color looks much beter IMO. Graham
  14. Err.........you do realize the grey plastic used is actually lighter a lighter shade than the v.1. Graham
  15. How many of you who cancelled your preorders due to the leg colour on the preproduction sample are kicking yourselves now? Graham
  16. All modern toys disintigrate after a few years, so I really wouldn't bother asking about holding value after time.....LOL! (And I bet you think I'm joking!) Graham
  17. I hate the Toynami Alphas, but wow, after reading the review of the CMs Legioss & Tread I would never buy one for the following reasons: I'm all about nice looking fighter modes and it just looks awful in that mode. Doesn't lock together well in fighter mode. Piss poor conection between the Legioss and Tread. I'd never really paid attention to the CMs Legioss before, but after reading the review, it is such an easy pass. Oh well, hopefully one day Yamato may come to our rescue and finally give us all a decent Legioss. Graham

  21. Ha, that last battroid mode comparison pic really shows how astatine is the renewal version sculpt. Graham
  22. I posted pics a few pages back already. Graham
  23. There may well be multiple releases earlier in the year of something. Just wait and see. Graham
  24. I had the Blue and Green and Toynami Alpha toys, bought when they were first released. Parts fit was bad, finish could have been better and both ended up braking in various places. I eventually threw both of them away in disgust. Shoddy, shoddy, shoddy. Do not recommend. No experience with a CM's may try to track one down. Graham
