Just received my CM's blue Legioss & Trade and upgrade parts. Will unpack and play with tonight. Looks nice though. If not too frustrating, I may possibly order the green Legioss as well. Graham

Prometheus - on Blu-Ray and DVD Oct. 9, 2012
Graham replied to Pizza the Hutt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yep, 2D all the way. Really no interest in seeing anything in 3D. Although I could possibly be tempted to watch Star Wars, A New Hope in 3D, as long as Han shoots first! Graham -
Going to rename this topic to make it the official "All things Mospeada related" thread. Graham

Guess I've been lucky that the paint apps are fine, the skull tampos are perfect and the wings are tight on both of my VF-25S. Although I suppose it helps that I can check them for defects in the shop when I buy them. Graham

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
Graham replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Even without the Super packs, I find the lower legs don't really lock into place very securely in fighter mode. The tabs on the wing-gloves are just not large enough to lock into the slots in the lower legs securely. On the display stand, it's fine, but if you want to hold it or zoom it around I find the wing glove tabs constantly work themself out of the lsots on the lower legs. Graham -
I also disagree. I had IIRC correctly 3 of the Toynami Alphas when they first came out and I spent ages fiddling with them, but could never get rid of the broke back look. Graham

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force
Graham replied to charger69's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Dunno yet, still waiting for Yamato to reply. Graham -
Well, in fighter mode, the Toynami/Aoshima also suffers from an upwards pointing nose, AKA broke-back syndrome. Also, there is no clearance for the belly of the plane with the landing gears out and lastly, the parts fitting is quite poor. Graham

Well, found a Blue CM's with the upgrade parts set on ebay HK, so decided to take a risk and buy it. Graham

Thanks guys. So after reading/watching Jenius and Veef's reviews it looks like getting the Blue with the upgrade set is the way to go, as I do want a better connection bettween the Legioss and Tread in fighter mode. Shame the Green was not sold with the upgrade set, as I've always prefered the green. Graham

Strange, as Anime Export list a re-release version, which shows a pic of the big gun. Want to find out if legit or not. But anyway, it's on back-order status. See: http://www.anime-export.com/product/5010 Graham

Questions: Was there a re-release of the CM's Legioss/Tread, that had the improved parts already installed? If the answer to Q1 is yes, did the re-release have a different box? Or how to tell the 1st and 2nd versions apart? from the box? Graham

Yamato 1/60 VF-19 Fire Valkyrie (v2.0)
Graham replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Yep, the VF-19 Fire Valkyrie and VF-19S Blazer Valkyrie are without a doubt Yamato's finest efforts to date. Graham -

Found a Green CM's for just under US$100, wondering if I should take a chance. The Green has always been my favorite head site and color for the Alpha. Graham

Not a criticism or anything, just genuinely curious and would like to ask what's the 'in universe' explanation for the following 2 points: 1) Why the lack of rear visibility on all your designs? Do the cockpits or pilots helmets have screens showing them a rear view, or is lack of rear visibility not an issue? I haven't read your book, so don't know if any within-visual-range dogfighting takes place. If it does, wouldn't the lack of rear visibility be a handicap? 2) Any reason why your designs feature canopy frames instead of one-piece bubble canopies? A personal aesthetic choice, or reasons of strength? On space fighters, I've always felta completely sealed cockpit, with a 360 degree virtual view is probably best. Graham

Had it since it was first published, but never thought the stuff in there was interesting enough that people would want it scanned. Graham -
Back on topic, please guys. This is a thread about transforming Legioss/Tread toys, not about non-transforming VF-1/ VF-4 toys. No more thread hijacking !!! Graham
