  1. Finished the first season of Delicious in Dungeon. It was good. Watching Beastars, which is really good. Also, I finally watched all of Space Battleshio Yamato 2199, which I thought was really good. Currently watching 2202.
  2. But the opening doesn't have any credits.
  3. Blu-ray.com is a great resource for collectors, but the community there can be kinda looney toons--even by MW standards, lol. They can be quite fanatical about certain things.
  4. Just to be clear, I'm being hyperbolic here, but this is how those of us in the 4K collectors community feel about stuff like this.
  5. This is what I was afraid of. They've used AI to totally scrub the grain from the transfer, and we've lost detail with it.
  6. He did The Hobbit trilogy.
  7. I've tried using my VPN (PIA) to stream Disney+ from Japan, but it's blocked.
  8. It's an upscale of the old 2K transfer that has been scrubbed of all grain. And the color still isn't right. I worry they'll use AI to process the hell out of DYRL, trying to make it look "new" like Cameron has been doing with his films.
  9. Plenty of directors with more prestige and fame than Kawamori have supervised disastrous transfers.
  10. I was in the verge of completing an order on this and stopped myself. Concerned about the quality of the subs and how the transfer turns out. May hold off on this until people have these in hand and can speak to how the final product turned out. I'm not concerned about any first edition bonuses or whatnot.
  11. He was neither outwardly chaotic or evil, which is what made him interesting. There was no evil cackling, mustache twirling, or constant threats of violence, which makes him a lot different than your typical Star Wars villain.
  12. I don't understand how anyone looked at the plotted story and scripts and not realized that Qmir is what was interesting. And they just couldn't stop themselves from tying it into the prequels-era story. They made the same mistake with Ahsoka. Baylon Skoll and his apprentice were the interesting story, not the cartoon stuff Feloni just can't move on from.
  13. Mine is pretty self-explanatory. 😜 Edit: I chose this particular picture of Duke Togo because of the purple in it, which is my favorite color.
  14. And we know ETs are members of the Republic per the prequels, and we've definitely seen an ET in the suburbs.
  15. In a galaxy-spanning civilization, I have to believe suburbs exist somewhere. That's A LOT of star systems where they could exist.
  16. Feared you'd get something aimed at younger audiences? Are you new to Star Wars? They've had productions aimed at kids since the 80s. Does everything need to revolve around what you want to see? They want to do an Amblin-style show set in the Star Wars universe, I say go for it. Give us more of something different, I say. Andor is a spy-thriller, great. Give us horror, too. Comedy. What have you.
  17. I see what they're going for here. Hopefully this doesn't needlessly tie into the saga or Filoni-verse and can just exist as a children's' adventure set within that galaxy.
  18. The Japan Society tweeted that it was a showing of the 4K restoration of Plus. That tweet (which I originally linked above) looks to have been deleted.
  19. Japan Society tweet says this is a presentation of the 4K restoration of Plus, which is totally not what is being released in the US on Blu-ray.
  20. It's funny, because years from now when people are either rewatching the show or working through it fresh, the season ending where it did won't even register.
  21. It's going to depend on the budget they're given, I'd guess. Funny how GoT all but had a blank check from HBO. But hey, different people running the company then.
  22. Well, now I know why season 2 of HotD ended like it did: HBO cut it from 10 episodes to 8 before shooting began. Likely would have gotten what I was originally expecting had it gone 10.
